It's been a while since I had gotten any tattoos because the artist who had done a few of my pieces moved and it's so daunting finding a good artist and shop to get larger multiple session pieces done...
It's been a while since I had gotten any tattoos because the artist who had done a few of my pieces moved and it's so daunting finding a good artist and shop to get larger multiple session pieces done at. I found Alexis' work via Instagram and emailed her to book an appointment. She was wonderful at working with me via a few emails to figure out what I wanted to save me time driving into the shop for a consultation, which is great for people who live farther away or are just usually too busy to stop by for a consultation. She sent an invoice for the deposit via Square and the entire process for making my appointment was easy!When the day for my appointment came, I felt good about the shop from first impressions walking in. There doesn't appear to be any privacy available since the three artist stations share the same room and there's not a booth or private room for any tattoo spots you might not want to get right in front of the main counter where anyone could walk in and see, but the shop definitely felt clean and sanitary.Alexis was so professional and an absolute pleasure to chat with! She is such a warm and kind person and put me completely at ease during the tattoo process and was attentive to check in and ask how I was during the few hours of tattooing. I felt no time was wasted during my appointment- she didn't take smoke breaks or waste time goofing off with other people at the shop like I've witnessed some artists do in other shops. She was so professional but also just a fun person to chat with during my appointment!Will and Cory, the other two artists, were also with clients during my appointment and from what I noticed they also seemed to have professional demeanors. Everyone was just focused on their clients for the most part, aside from giving advice or assistance to each other when needed. It seems to be a shop that operates smoothly together and doesn't waste clients' time with any obnoxious behavior.I'm so excited for the tattoo project Alexis is doing for me and my boyfriend is planning on getting some work done by Cory soon, too! So I will be highly recommending Impulse Ink from my time here.

The talent and professionalism at this shop is exceptional, even by artists standards. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a tattoo of outstanding quality and lifespan to get on the books for a consult ASAP. These boys don't play and you can expect a fully booked schedule so, it may take time getting in but definitely worth the wait.

As usual I am more than impressed by the quality of the art I got. I don't think I could expect my somewhat simple idea to be transformed into such a masterpiece by many other artists out there. Matt Brumelow did an incredible job and more than captured the concept I had in mind for my tattoo. The shop was extremely neat and clean, and I have no doubt I was in the midst of true professionals that are serious about what they do. Thanks.

Great shop that does great work. The lobby could use a little rearranging considering you can’t do paper work with a couch in the way but the huge mirror is great for selfies.

garbage, stay away. monkey kids who should not be running a business.Will, the owner, came an hour late (typical). then rushed through tracing my design, which turned into fucking up my piece. had no problem taking my $800 (work is $400 at best) now refuses to fix it.oh, the best part was I actually caught him watching TV while the needle was in my skin, at least 10 times.take the time to drive to Atlanta , THERE ARE PLENTY MORE ARTISTS in the area, that are more talented, care more about their work, and don't have that elitist millennial attitude.STAY AWAY!!!!!

I LOVE this shop!!! I've gotten 2 tattoos here so far and I couldn't be happier with them. I'm going back for more. I got my first tattoo with Matt Brumelow. He's incredibly talented and pleasant to be around. I came in after someone cancelled with a vague idea of what I wanted and he worked up the most amazing phoenix for me. I got my second tattoo the other day from Mat Purdy. He is awesome and has the best cheesy lame jokes!! He's the guy you wanna see for anything video game related. I have a wicked cool vibrant Toon Link on my arm now!I haven't had anything done by the other two guys there (Wil and Cory), but I follow their work and am consistently blown away by their talent.I can't say enough wonderful things about these guys. I am bumbed out. I have been email threw facebook and emails. Yes I have been getting timely response from them but far from bring them a bunch of pictures to design the tattoo they would not see us. ...
I am bumbed out. I have been email threw facebook and emails. Yes I have been getting timely response from them but far from bring them a bunch of pictures to design the tattoo they would not see us. We were first told to talk to one person then that person said talk to another person, then that person would not respond to the email mike the manager did. I have done what they said and not just show up and expect a tattoo i have been trying to get a one on one with the artist ...but that seams to be a no go for them. When we did have an apt to see one of them, the time they said to come in they were closed. but the door was unlocked and they were just chatting around. when I walked in and said I had a one on one the looked at me like what the hell you doing here. and they were giving each other tattoos. very bumbed out cuss i was told from a few differ people that the artist were good but I guess you have to be friends with them. good luck See More

My review is on my experience today. I walked in to inquire about a quick tattoo that I have been wanting... I was told to email to set up an appointment because they do not have a shop number. (I'm not sure what number I've been calling since they do have one listed). I have been trying to call with no answers and thought it looked like a nice shop and finally decided just to go in. I have been trying to go in for a while now but the place is almost always closed when I driv...e by. The tattoo would probably only take about 20 maybe 30 minutes because it is tiny and I wanted to finally just do it today. I just felt like they were a little rude and I definitely am disappointed because I've been wanting to come to them for so long, and I won't be coming back. I just felt like it would have been nice if they tried to be friendly at least or maybe even squeeze me in at some point later today when they were done with the pieces they were doing. This is the definition of a tattoo shop. All awesome artists with a variety of styles to suit anyone's preferences. If you want a piece that will look amazing throughout your whole lifetime then this is the place to go. I would highly recommend any artist there. I have personally been tattooed by Cory who does amazing work, and every time I go, every artist there makes sure everyone getting tattooed there that day leaves the shop feeling stoked on what they got.

Impulse ink as a whole is a wonderful shop with a great staff who all perform tremendous work. I personally go to to Cory Cartwright. Cory is a very passionate artist who is professional in every sense of the word. If you are looking for creativity, attention to detail, and art work that you will enjoy for a lifetime, Cory is your man. Not only has he Been a great artist but the friendship that has been built outside of tattooing is a blessing as well. He takes the time to know his customers on a personal level which is far different from any other tattoo artist I have ever been too.

I got my first tattoo at Impulse Ink. It's a laid back atmosphere, sanitary, and well-maintained. Matt Brumelow tattooed my family crest on my arm and it came out better than I ever anticipated. Additionally, the staff is far friendlier than I've experienced in other shops, and I had good conversation and laughs alongside getting the excellent work done. I have no reason to go anywhere else for my future tattoos.

It's been a while since I had gotten any tattoos because the artist who had done a few of my pieces moved and it's so daunting finding a good artist and shop to get larger multiple session pieces done at. I found Alexis' work via Instagram and emailed her to book an appointment. As usual I am more than impressed by the quality of the art I got. I don't think I could expect my somewhat simple idea to be transformed into such a masterpiece by many other artists out there. Matt Brumelow did an incredible job and more than captured the concept I had in mind for my tattoo. Cory cartwright did a cover up on my ankle a few months back and im in love with what he did! I have a tight budget but he worked with me and i couldnt be more satisfied with the final product! I would recommend anyone interested in getting tattooed to come to this guy, or any of the artists at this shop for that matter. SUPERB! Clean & professional environment! You will not be disappointed �

I got my first tattoo at Impulse Ink. It's a laid back atmosphere, sanitary, and well-maintained. Matt Brumelow tattooed my family crest on my arm and it came out better than I ever anticipated. Additionally, the staff is far friendlier than I've experienced in other shops, and I had good conversation and laughs alongside getting the excellent work done. I have no reason to go anywhere else for my future tattoos.
