I went to Black Lotus yesterday for my first tattoo with Raven. The weather was bad at the time of my appointment and the power was flickering on and off. We decided it would be best to come back after the storm, rather than starting my tattoo and possibly having the power go out for hours and not be able to finish. Raven and I stayed in touch and I came back for my tattoo after the storm. It was such a wonderful experience! She did everything she could to make me comfortable and my tattoo is beautiful! Raven is the bomb. All I can say is that I do not like pain and Raven did such a good job making me feel at ease that I didn't flinch once. I was never in pain. I'm a Disney fan and I collect hippopotamuses and I wanted to hippo from Fantasia dancing with the crocodile and Raven killed it. Made appointment to have tattoo done for 6pm , I was there at 530 pm stayed untill 610 pm , there was a note stuck in door , closed ! No reason just closed ! This is one of the friendliest and nicest little tattoo shops I've ever been to. My sister and I got tattoos of a drawing our father did who recently passed away. We wanted it done exactly as he drew it and James delivered. He was so wonderful and my sister and I enjoyed working with him. Some artists can be pushy and intimidating but he was friendly and accommodating. While doing the tattoo James is gentle and quick. In regards to the shop it is welcoming, clean and has all the proper certificates displayed. Before we left we met his wife Raven who is another tattoo artist there. She was very friendly as well and a very talented artist from looking at her work. Be sure to make an appointment here because I don't think they do walk-ins but I could be wrong.
