Kevin is an amazing artist. My mom, sister, and myself went in on a whim to see if someone could give us all a tattoo. We knew that we wanted our birth flowers We knew that we wanted purple We knew that Kevin had done amazing work in the past, and he let us know that he had done watercolors. He was about to leave and actually took the time to draw up a tattoo that we loved. He was able to make them all the same, yet with details that showed our differences. The flowers are a rose, a closed chrysanthemum, and a violet. He ended up arranging them in the shape of a heart. Mine is the lightest and most like a watercolor. Decided to get my nose pierced on a whim and went down to my usual spot but the piercer wasn't in so I called Atomic after seeing their reviews and was not disappointed! I called prior (as you should with anywhere your're trying to just walk into without an appt) and they weren't busy so I was in and out in like 10 minutes! I called him out of the blue in an emergency situation after reading many encouraging reviews of his excellent mastery as a piercing specialist & comforting demeanor. Only place I go to. Travis is the best piercer and the only one I trust coming at me with needles . I've had my septum done twice by him now, my vertical labret, my chest dermal and my venom tongue piercings. Yoshi did an absolutely outstanding job on a coverup portrait of my dog yesterday. Such a talented and kind artist and he made sure my wife and I were on the same page as he was with everything we wanted. This was such an important piece for me and he nailed it. I just recently moved here from LA so I relied on Yelp to find me a cool spot where I can get pierced. Although this place is in a sketchy area it was worth the visit! The second I walked in they greeted me and were very friendly. I felt comfortable and had a awesome conversation I didn't feel as nervous getting my nose pierced. It was done clean and quick. I had recently moved to Tampa & was looking for a local artist so I didn't have to travel far every time I want to get tattooed. While the staff was friendly & inviting, their quality of work says otherwise. The artist messed up my tattoo & I ended up traveling to my main artist to get it fixed. I've had both of my tattoos and my nose piercing done here. The artists and piercers are all really nice, and I've never had any problems or heard of anyone having problems with Atomic. The thing I like most is how clean it is. I've never been to other shops where I feel as safe as I do there. It doesn't feel like a shady tattoo establishment. Everyone is professional and it feels sterile. Minus one star because my nose piercing was pretty expensive in comparison to other shops. I had no problem getting out my wallet for my tattoos, but there were other piercers in the area that had piercings for a lot cheaper. I only went here because of that trust factor with this business. I guess I figured since needles were involved, I was better safe than sorry. Read Less
