My sister and I both received tattoos from the owner (Brad) that were VERY poor quality. Neither of us got anything even CLOSE to what we asked for & were treated extremely rudely as well. Brad had the audacity to say I came in "dressed like a slut" (I had on a t-shirt and jean shorts) and when my sister asked for a refund on her hip/thigh piece, we were told she's just mad because he didn't want to look at her "fat ass". She never received a refund, either. I left a review on Facebook before I came to Yelp, where in the comments the owner and his wife continued bashing me and my family, calling me an idiot and saying it was OUR fault he couldn't do our tattoos right. I have NEVER experienced customer service this terrible and if I could give 0 stars I would! Completely absurd!!!

This was my first tattoo at the shop and my fourth tattoo overall and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience I had. All the Artists at the shop were very pleasant and professional. Dominic worked with me to develop a tattoo design that was better than I ever could have anticipated. And then he executed that design flawlessly. Don't trust an amateur with your body you need to visit this shop. If you want a tattoo or piercing do yourself a favor and stop by to meet the artist and set an appointment for your next piece of body art.

My kids got there here in tampa Florida. It didn't hurt like i thought it would it didn't hurt at all....

This is a great shop!! I first went in 2010. The artist took the time to make sure that the tattoo was exactly what I wanted. My husband and I went in at the beginning of June and met Tito. He's a great guy and his attention to detail is amazing. He was extremely patient with me while we worked through the details of my tattoo and the end result is absolutely beautiful. My husband's tattoo looks even better than we pictured. Can't wait to go back and see what Tito comes up with next.

Amazing experience all around! Super clean shop, up to date equipment, killer portfolios....and all of the guys that work in the plaza are friends, that shows a lot of integrity in my book. Their shop on Busch Blvd was one of the best experiences my husband and I have had in a tattoo shop. The artist greeted us as soon as we got there and ALL of them were super friendly. My hubby wanted to do some fill in work on his sleeve. We have very little free time and got there about 8:00 last night. Kelly was more than willing to start something and stay late. Sara and Jesse and another artist stayed late and kept us entertained :). We never felt like we were bothering them even tho we stayed til after 1AM. By the end of the night I felt like I was with old friends. This kind of customer service is what gets lifelong customers!!I hope everyone who was there last night reads this and knows that we will b back, not only for your skills with ink but with your people skills as well!!!!Thank you and see you all sooner rather than later.To anyone looking for an artist, go here now! You will leave with great ink and great laughs :)

Jessie and Kelly are the best. I have been to a lot of tattoo shops but this one by far is the bomb! I recommend if you are wanting some new ink, this is the place for you!

As a 70 year old, I was delighted to get my very first tattoo at Art Explosion by Matthew Chivers. He was extremely patient helping me with the design which, incidentally, turned out to be a beautiful classic. The process was painless and his instructions for after-care worked perfectly. I plan to return to Matthew for a second tattoo and I would highly recommend Art Explosion to any tattoo newbie or veteran for their expertise and world-class service.

I waited over 15 years to get more work done and my patience paid off. Tito is the heat. His attention to detail is on point and he doesn't rush nor watch the clock for the sake of making a buck. The art comes first. He works with you to ensure you get what you are looking for and he is patient in doing so as I'm sure it can be frustrating as he tries to put together the work one might envision. Keep it up my friend. Whereas it took me years between my tattoos...I've been back to see Tito three times in under a month. He simply performs at a high level as do many of the artist I've been able to watch with my time in the chair. The crew is serious about their work.

He was extremely patient helping me with the design which, incidentally, turned out to be a beautiful classic. The process was painless and his instructions for after-care worked perfectly.
