My wife and I went in for tattoos a little while back. While I was I guess to say content, my wife got hers from an African American artist. Sorry can’t remember his name. She’s had tattoos before from other establishments and was in an extreme amount of pain due to the depth the artist was using. Fast forward, mines healing and hers has been very swollen, hurting, and even has an infection. Yes, she is very careful with care and used the small packet they provided. She has since had to go to the doctor for antibiotics and still not right.
Today, we both go there to try and remedy the issue. We showed them her tattoo and issue she’s been having and their response “Oh it’s fine it’s not healed” Umm no it’s not it was way too deep and now infected!! We asked for our money back and they said “Umm were not refunding you, we can fix it”. Uh hell to the NO are you touching my skin again and the employees got loud, very defensive and used inappropriate language to us! Ya know the customers are right, however they do not operate like that. I own 4 businesses and trust me, I’d rather give back their purchase than have them unhappy and tell people to stay away! Well I’m telling you too STAY AWAY! Too many awesome artists down the street. Plus, one of OUR customers came in to order something and we showed her the work. Her words were “ OMG that’s not right! I’d never go there! I go down the street!”
During the exchange between my wife and the lady of them not refunding us and only wanting to try to fix it, the actual artist that did her work came over.
He got involved in our conversation between my wife and started trying to defend his bad tattoo in a VERY LOUD and DISRESPECTFUL TONE to her. Well, as her husband, that’s never going to fly with me EVER! As we were all standing there, my wife, myself, the other lady, and the African American artist, forgive me for not remembering his name. I STERNLY TOLD HIM “ DO NOT EVEN YELL OR TALK TO MY WIFE LIKE THAT”. Him being 3 feet away from me, came right over to me after I told him that and got directly within 2” of my face!!!! Mind you I’m 6’1 198 pounds and wasn’t in the least worried, however I told him “ Tough guy, get out of my face”. Honestly that bro needs another job.
Needless to say, it was a terrible experience. They called the police on us as we told them we’d wait outside till they got there. The lady’s answer was “ I don’t care where you wait!” Police showed up, we explained what happened and left. We will never go back and the extreme lack of care from them is a joke. We will be going down the street to the place we should have gone to at the corner of Monroe and 6th Ave.
Sucks, we have to write this, but ya know, we feel it’s only fair to let the public know. Thanks. Read Less
