I found my Shop and artist! After visiting several shops in Tallahassee ( and walking back out almost immediately) I walked into Empire and didn’t want to leave. From the moment I walked in the door with my wife until the moment we left, we felt welcome and not just another person. They have a great environment that is down to earth and very relaxed. Maggie May designed and inked exactly what I wanted. I will be a returning customer. I have 6 other tattoos and I think she was the easiest and most light handed artist I have experienced. I have visited this place my fair share of times. Reception is always very nice and knowledgeable. I have gotten an industrial, a cartilage, and daith piercing by Roland. All went fine and healed well except one part of the industrial. I went back and had them redo the bottom hole because it was rejected. I just went yesterday and had the girl do my double cartilage, she was very friendly and I had an awesome experience. I recommend this place to all my friends who want piercings. Anyone and Everyone, this is the place to go. Kayla is awesome, and makes you feel like you've known her for years. Me and my girlfriend went about a week ago, and she hooked us up. We were there for about 2 hours, and the time flew by. Kayla and Josh kept us laughing, and the atmosphere of the shop is so welcoming. We will definitely be back! I got a nose piercing done here by Dolla, after it wasn't healing at all, I went to Body Piercings by Bink to ask why, apparently he pierced my nose at a completely wrong angle through too much tissue that prevents my piercing from healing and keeps me from wearing any different types of nose rings. The nose ring he did give me was made for the other nostril as well. Really disappointed. Read Less

I got a back piece done by Chief; its an outline of a lion that has a crown of sea shells and some anchors hanging around it. He was very accommodating and drew exactly what I wanted on the first try. His line work & attention to detail is great and he has a great eye for designing his work. Unfortunately, my friend was given not the best treatment when receiving her tattoo.The tattoo itself that was a simple seashell, wasn't drawn to the artists best ability. I'm sure the place is good but it goes to show what one artist can do. I understand that you get very busy on the 13th, but it is your JOB regardless. No matter how frustrated you are I believe that you should not let that affect your customer service. ESPECIALLY, when you are putting something PERMENT on somebody's skin. I am no tattoo conisor but when I saw it I could immediately see the flaws. It was a simple tattoo that I assume any professional tattoo artist could do, which is why I'm stunned. Read Less

This guy took liberty as to the tattoo on my body, despite what I asked him to do. COMPLETELY butchered my tattoo, as to what I showed him and we talked about (I drew the tattoo, it had meaning, and he was going to stencil it in, but disregarded it. I was mortified when he was finished and he had the audacity to ask for a good review, despite CLEARLY IGNORING WHAT WE AGREED ON.  I'm having to get over $100 to get it fixed. Don't go here if you respect your body!!!!!!! Go to euphoria. It is worth the money to get what you want and not what someone else decides is worth tattooing on your body. Read Less

Got a white ink tat (which they don't typically work with) done here tonight. I was well educated and well cared for by Shawn (Sean?) who has been in the business longer than my life span. He made sure I knew the pros and cons to white ink and a tattoo the size I got it. He made sure he showed me that he was changing out needles and other product. It's definitely a tattoo parlor/ piercing place. You feel that vibe before you even walk in. A hole in the wall for sure, but you'll receive great service. I had a great experience with service both with the actual tattoo and paperwork. The minimum here is $40 which was impressive to me as I've payed $50 for an even smaller tattoo.
