I have heard and seen somethings. Mysterious right? Well the owner, Kim is terrible to her employees and rude to her clients, she never pays her artists. Credit cards?! Hahahahaha forget about it, they never see a penny of their credit card sales in over 3 years at least. She also tells her artist that their artwork is worth anything and try’s to break them down but where is her art?? I feel terrible for all the artists there and what they have to endure. She’s supposedly a permanent makeup artist but I have yet to see anyone actually go back for the other appointments for their touch ups. She can’t pierce to save her life they come out completely wrong and sometimes even infected. I feel bad for the current piercer that is there when Kim’s not being a manager because, Jessica, never has the supplies she needs, she’s always out of stock. The artists always have to pay out of pocket for their own supplies as well! DO you honestly think that's how a professional tattoo and piercing shop should be runned? I have more dirt I could say about her but then it would turn into a short chapter book, I don’t feel like being a million dollar author. My two cents are be weary of what goes on with the owner when your there she may upcharge you on tattoos that don’t need to be that highly priced. I know a couple people that used to work here and was told they were never paid out on credit cards and are under paid for majority of the work that they do. Also had a friend get a tattoo there a while ago and was completely over charged for their tattoo by the owner or manger Kim. The people there now are all professional and helpful I feel bad that they won't get paid for their work, because they do good work. This place needs better management or a new owner! Read Less

I got my nipples pierced by Jessica about five weeks ago, they look great, and have been healing nicely. No issues. When I went in they were friendly, and I think I only had to wait about 5 minutes for her to get ready. I would definitely recommend her, and I really appreciated that they had a female piercer. went here to get my nosed pierced and they said i needed a notarized form. left to get it notarized and was gone for maybe 10 minutes and when i came back the pierced was gone. they said she’d be back in an hour so we waited. then they told us she would be back for another 3 hours. AND she knew i would be right back after getting it notarized. will not be going back and will 10000% not recommend to anyone. Read Less

my friends and I went to go get a few piercings and the piercer told us she had a shipment of gloves coming in and she’ll give us a call when they came in. we leave and run some errands and came back a few hours later to find out, the gloves came and we didn’t get a call, and she left to go get food (which is understandable). we proceeded to wait 2+ hours for her to not show up? the other tattoo artists were very helpful on tracking her down, but the piercer Jessica has done this to us 2 times on separate accounts.. highly unprofessional and very rude to say the least Read Less

PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! WARNING Chicago Inksters charged me an extra $50 without my knowledge and approval. I check my banking online daily and discovered I had been over charged $50. I called immediately to speak to the owner about the discrepancy and she said she could have the charges reversed but it would take 3-5 days. It's been 4 weeks and many phone calls later with no return phone call and I still have not been reimbursed. Do you ever wake up and say "I need a piercing today?" Well a friend and I did and we decided to go to Chicago Inksters. Thank god we didn't stay. We walked in and the man at the counter was helping two people in front of us. They looked a s disappointed as we were about to be and turned around and walked out. When it was our turn and I told him I would like a Medusa piercing (lip) he said "we have s piercer here but she's only up to a certain level. Let me see if she's able to do that one." If you are coming at my fave with a needle, I need to know that you know what you're doing and clearly this person did not. He then walks over to her and asks if she can do a Medusa and she responds with "I don't know what that is."We left as soon as she said that. You're a professional piercer and you don't know what one of the most popular face piercings are? If she's an apprentice she should have someone there with her watching her every piercing move. Like most tattoo and piercing shops, it's a cash only establishment, but they have an ATM on site. The shop was very clean, not intimidating at all, and everyone was friendly. I'd love to come back and have some tattoo work done when I'm in the area again. The example artwork was fantastic. It struck me as a very reputable shop with high standards. For example, there were a couple "house rules" plainly posted (e.g. No tats on forearms, necks, or faces of minors even with permission). I always appreciate seeing the balance of a paycheck and personal integrity. Kudos to this place for that! Read Less

Christine is the best piercer ever, she's done my helix and industrial barbell me being young and impatient at one point in life I got my belly button pierced at gothic city ( awful place ewh and not clean at all ) but I went to Christine with my problems and it eventually rejected but she switched out jewelry for me and cleaned something that was a mess but she didn't even do she is so so so sweet my industrial has completely healed in less than a year with no bumps and scars  she's amazing and so very clean !!! Not to mention she feels it perfectly normal to pay her minions 40% instead of the industry standard minimum of 50% (disgrace). I came from accross the country to work for this woman. Left my kids out west, drove for 3 STRAIGHT days. Ended up selling my 2 dogs since i couldnt find a hotel room which would cater to them all because she told me what i wanted to hear to get me there for her own selfish fulfillment. Never once taking in consideration of anyones well being . another sad disgrace in this industry which gives the real upstanding professionals in this trade a bad name. I am writting this review in hopes of anyone who is considering a position with this subhumans establishment that you will BEWARE! She pays BELOW the industry standard and for whatever delusional reasons thinks this is ok. Its insulting to say the least and its owners like her who give this industry a bad name. It seems her employees dont wish to stand up for themselves and just go along with her reign of terror. Well quess what kim. I am not a push over and i will stand up to you! Very clean nice people they know what they're doing. Piercings and ink. I watched a friend get a belly button piercing...She loves it. Sounds from some of the reviews that maybe Tony and Kim's personalities may get in the way of repeat business but they definitely stay busy. Prices are comparable to other tat shops. Pretty horrible experience for my first tattoo. My tattoo is basically not what I asked for and the artist rushed the entire process. Granted in my nervousness I didn't specifically ask to see the design before he put the stencil on, but seeing as the tattoo is on the back of my ankle and difficult for me to see it was almost useless to look once it was on. After the process was done and I was looking at a picture of the tattoo I was furious. I had to ask him to touch up a few spots which he happily did and improved the tattoo overall; but now the lines are so much thicker than I ever wanted. Read Less

Place is amazing! Clean, great artists, posts of sample work, private booths, fair prices and awesome staff. They aren't pushy at all, they are soo nice. Place is better than any TV show studio I've seen. Sorry Kat... Its colorful, well designed and fun inside. Soooo clean, literally been in dirtier hospitals.They have tons of tattoo selections and the artists quote you at the counter. Grane is awesome. If you like Celtic or Scandinavian style, its his specialty. He and others do cover ups for a small additional fee. Just got my second tattoo from their shop. My first was years ago with Tony who is no longer there and last night my wife and I got our wedding date on our ring fingers.
