7-12-2018 Madeline and I had been in contact off and on for three weeks or so. Yesterday we nailed down a time to schedule Stephanie for her repeat faith piercing. We had never been here before, and there wasn't a error with the previous one we just could t tighten it and it came loose and out in her sleep. I have so many great things to say about oddity tattoo. The people that work there, the environment, the professionalism and cleanliness are all top notch and the best in Sarasota. I went to Ambo for my first large scale tattoo, and he absolutely nailed it. The color is vibrant, the lines sharp. I cant wait to come back and get more work done. Honestly everything I could ever hope for in a tattoo shop is here. Everything is handled professionally and the artists are so friendly and easy to talk to. The environment is open and welcoming, exactly what you want from a tattoo shop. Oddity also does so much for their community. My two friends and I went to z-edge originally and after waiting an hour for help we decided to check out this place. We arrived 30 minutes before closing time and we welcomed warmly. April dykes the piercer gave us a great price and stayed an hour after closing time to carefully and safely complete our cartilage piercings. I got my first tattoo here after at least a year of debating whether or not to do it and what exactly I wanted. I looked at lots of places and decided on Oddity. All of the artists are crazy talented and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Because I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted I emailed them two pages of pictures and inspirations and they set me up with the artist they thought would be best for me. The sketch he came up with was perfect and I LOVE my new tattoo. If you're like me, someone who had never ventured anywhere near a tattoo shop and was apprehensive about the whole thing, Oddity is the place to go. A group of us all got somewhat matching tattoos. They were so flexible and kind. This was such a momentous occasion that the staff only enhanced our experience. We went to the one on Bee Ridge and Typh and David- both were amazing. We kind of took over the shop while we were in there so it was awesome that they were so patient with us. Some artist make you feel weird or are a bit stand offish- not the case at all here. The shop is the cleanest I have ever been to or seen. It is very open and the decor isn't overwhelming. The bathroom is gorgeous. I don't know why that stood out for me but it did. It was so clean. I guess if they take care of their bathrooms they must take care of the rest of the place. And they do. Our tattoos were small so they took maybe 5-10 mins each. They are so clean that it took them longer to set up and clean up then the actual tattoos. The artist were funny, welcoming, and kind. This place is great! They always do an amazing job. I currently live in CA and I fly back to FL whenever I want to get tattoos. The shop is really clean and everyone is super helpful. Some say it's pricey, I say it's worth it. Travis is incredible! Book your appointment far in advance though, he's usually always booked. Matt Helmer is my go to guy.
