I had a piercing done by April Dykes a couple of weeks ago. It was only my second piercing, and I had the first one done years ago with a piercing gun. I'm a big guy, but I was still a little nervous. April put me at ease, and couldn't have been more professional. I was very impressed about how professional everyone that worked there were, and how clean it was. It was truly like walking into a hospital. After much deliberation and research I decided to make an appointment with Tiph Flamel at Oddity Tattoo. I wanted some custom work done that was personal and meant A LOT to me. To other people the pieces I got arent a huge deal but to me they are as I have to look at them for the rest of my days. This wasn't my first rodeo so I knew exactly what I was looking for in looking for a new shop. I'm one of those people who researches these kinds of things months in advance to make sure I'm making the right decision. These types of things I don't take lightly. I physically went into the shop to get a feel for the atmosphere and make my appointment. I immediately was comfortable and confident this was going to be my new shop to get my work done. I booked my appointment with Tiph for a few months in advance... she's awesome at what she does so she books up pretty fast. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet Tiph that day. Hey, everyone needs a day off! Fast forward to the day of my appointment. Tiph is absolutely adorable! She's very smart, sweet and damn good at what she does. I didn't have a final picture of what I wanted when I walked in but based off of a picture and a post it note we were ready to roll in 5 minutes. What i had imagined in my head she was able to get on paper exactly as i described it. Both pieces were on my foot (the same foot) and she was very understanding about the sensitivity of the area and worked diligently yet maintained the quality of a true professional. I must say I was impressed. She's very considerate and made sure I knew we could take a break at any time. (I realize all artists do this) she made sure I was good and comfortable throughout the entire process. She cared. She only took an hour to get everything done! This woman works fast yet maintains astounding quality. Her work is nothing shy of perfection. I was pretty happy with the last artist who did some work for me but Tiph was so relatable and personable and her work was far superior. In addition to the great quality of her work she offered a free touch up. Not every artist offers that.She has a wonderful personality to say the very least. She makes the experience as a whole quite excellent and allows u to actually feel like u are treating yourself to something special. The fact that she's not happy unless ur happy speaks volumes. The quality of work she demands of herself keeps me confident that I have made the right decision in choosing her as my go to artist from this point forward. Read Less
