SHES AMAZING! As soon as you walk in, you smell and see the cleanliness of the shop. She was so down to Earth and so REAL!!! I got my nipples done and I can't stress enough how straight they are. We came in today to get my 6 year olds ears pierced.  She really wanted to get it done but was petrified and had chickened out before a few times.  Karen was very patient and made sure not only my daughter but mom (me) and dad were happy with the earring hole markings and redid her target many times to get it just right to please us all.  When it was time to do the actual piercing she did it so fast that my daughter didn't even notice she had done it until after it was done.  She normally cries and screams and throws a fit when getting a shot and for this all she said was ouch. When it was time to do the second hole she started to freak a little bit and Karen calmed her down and waited until she was still and did the second one even faster.  We have a very happy 6 year old with perfect earring holes.  I highly recommend this place. I have never posted a review for anything before. I just want to say that Karen is awesome. Not only is she an amazing person but she is a wonderful tattoo artist. I had a tattoo that I was not pleased with and she went above and beyond any other tattoo artist I've ever been to (now 5 different people). She gave me her opinions and drew and redrew and placed and replaced until it was perfect. I am from out of town and will fly in to Sarasota just to go to her if I ever want another tattoo. On top of that, she was having a not so great day due to another customer. They were not pleased with their tattoo and thought it was Karen's mistake. However, when we dug into it and looked back on the customers initial email, Karen actual did exactly, word for word and letter for letter, how the customers initial email was sent. He also checked and rechecked the wording and lettering before she actually did the tattoo which looks beautiful. I only mention this issue because she was so visibly upset that someone was not completely satisfied and I could tell that she truly prides herself in her work. So, if there are any negative reviews around this time frame, I can say I was there and saw what the customer wanted and signed off on multiple times and that is what he was actually given. The work was beautiful he just didn't like the word that was used. Unfortunately, it was the exact word he gave her to use. I went to Karen's shop as a walk in on my week long vacation to Florida. She was very welcoming and I had to wait about an hour because I was a walk in and she was working on another client. When it was my turn she was awesome with designing my tattoo exactly how I wanted it (I brought two pictures but she made it unique and her own). She did a great job, very light handed. A few of the lines are crooked or jagged.. And I can mostly attribute that to location, me talking while she was tattooing, and also she seemed to get distracted a lot because a friend of hers was in the shop. It took a very long time.. I took my daughter to another piercer at a tattoo shop and short and sweet the girl pierced my daughters belly button and took too much skin and ended up not being able to get the ring closed. The girl pulled the top part of the ring out and then tried to fish it back through the top hole which caused my daughter excruciating pain. I asked the girl to stop and she told my daughter if she lost some weight to come back and she would try again. My daughter is not fat and I couldn't believe she was blaming her mistake on my daughter. We left there and went to Eternal as it is near our house. Karen looked at it and said she could absolutely pierce it. We went back the next day and it took her less than 3 minutes to pierce my daughter and virtually painless. This is the 2nd piercing my daughter has gone to Eternal for. I would make Eternal my first stop from this point on. I saw 5 other girls get various piercings while we were there and they all came out fine. If you follow her directions about using the sea salt and keeping it clean and no dirty fingers touching it there should be no problems. This may seem odd, but I didn't end up getting a tattoo from this particular artist, however, I'm still giving her 5-stars. She worked diligently with my brother and I on a piece of art we may eventually get. She was clear and honest and offered her professional opinion the way someone considering getting a permanent piece of art inked onto their body should communicate with customers. She quoted us what I thought would be a fair price for the piece and was understanding when we said we needed more time before we decided to go through with it. Gotta say, this is a terrific place for a tattoo.  Got one on my right foot Monday.  Karen is entertaining, pleasant and honestly, a pro!   I was expecting a very painful 15-20 mins on the top of my foot, but instead was pleased with only a few "ouches".  I brought in a picture of what I wanted, but Karen thought it didn't look like what it was supposed to be which is the initial "C".  And she told me that the lines were too close together, so that in 5 years or so it would be one big undiscernible line.  She spent lots of time flipping through google images for something that would be feminine and pretty.  She then drew up an image from two different images.  It is perfect.  Simple, pretty and exactly what I wanted.   I would highly recommend Eternal Art for your first or your next tattoo. First off I must say I researched eternal art comparatively about a year before I pulled the trigger. (I should also mention I moved to the area a little over two years ago from 1300 miles away so everything was unfamiliar) I've had work done before so I was well aware of what I needed to expect. Being that this was my body and permanent I needed to make sure I was making the right decision. On the website I learned it was an all female run shop. To me that was a major scale tipper. Previously all my work was done by a male. The last time I'd gone for a session (with my previous artist) I felt rushed and almost as if because the piece I wanted wasn't a huge commitment (as in a multi session commitment) it wasn't really worth the effort to make it look like something I'd want to look at for the rest of my life. I wanted extreme attention to detail and a level of professionalism that should be expected when putting permanent art on your body. With that been said I was still a bit nervous walking in. Within 30 seconds of showing Karen the ridiculous "doodle" I'd been stuck dealing with and communicating ideas and intentions on how to fix the abomination I was stuck with I was 100% comfortable and at ease. I actually said "I trust you, so do whatever you think needs to be done to make this actually look good. " I asked for a price and was absolutely shocked. I was expecting it to be MUCH higher for the amount of work it was going to take to fix my situation. Yes it truly was that bad. When Karen said "I would've never let you walk out of here like that" I knew that not only did she understand my unhappiness and extreme dissatisfaction but she also upheld a certain standard that should be expected in her profession. I'd go as far to say she is a perfectionist and also has a higher expectation for herself on a personal level as it clearly shows in her work. Which is exactly why I trusted her 100%. Fast forward to the finish... I am more than satisfied with the work she did. Would I go back? Honestly I'd never go anywhere else from here on out. She's a keeper. If u want honesty, quality, commitment, professionalism, cleanliness and a down to earth perfectionist for an awesome price the only place you will find it to this high of a degree is at eternal art with Karen. Don't waste your time looking anywhere else because you will never come close to finding what they and she have to offer. I am definitely one sore but VERY satisfied customer and would recommend her (Karen) and Eternal Art any day of the week. I can't say enough good things from my experience. Read Less
