I went there to have multiple tattoos done. I was going to have them each done at separate dates. So Tessa sold me a package for $150.00 for 3 hours. I had the first one done. Not so good.  Told her it was ok! I wanted to see what she could come up with for the second one. Told her I really wanted it done before Christmas which was 1 month away. After texting her several times she finally told me she would have a sketch in 2 days. Never texted me back.  I have texted her several times and she will not respond. She has totally blown me off and still owes me for 2 1/2 hours of work. I now have to go to a tattoo artist and pay more to have the one she did fixed so it doesn't look cheap and juvenile. Very disappointed. I went to the shop twice during their business hours and they were closed both times. Their hours read that they closed at 8 pm and the first time I came in was at 7 and the second time was at 6. No notice on the door, just lights off and door locked way before closing time. I understand closing early if business is slow. But closing two hours early seems a little unprofessional to me. I was looking to get my first tattoo there, but now I'll be looking elsewhere. The staff is super friendly. They were more than willing to take time to discuss my designs in depth to help me come up with exactly what I want. And they were straightforward about realistic ideas of time for each piece. The studio was clean, but it is small. And wait times for appointments is about two weeks out. But they have crazy specials, which makes it possible for me to finally get all the work done that I want!  I've gotten three pieces of work done there so far, and I have yet to be disappointed. Tressa (who has done my work) is an amazing artist, and I've seen the work that Dan (the other artist) has done on other customers. They both do a fantastic job. This shop is absolutely amazing! Dan and Tressa are so nice and easy to talk to! I saw their work on Facebook and instantly loved it. I had my first appointment with Tressa yesterday and she was just so down to earth! She showed me the sketch we had for my arm and got the stencil on but I was so nervous! I came alone and I could feel my heart racing. She could obviously tell I was nervous and she also knew it was my first professional tattoo but she made me feel so comfortable, she gave me time the breath and let me know it was okay to ask for a break. They even offered me a soda and candy and kept reassuring me the nervous feeling I was having was normal. On top of their excellent hospitality both are amazing artists from what I have received and seen! All and all wonderful experience at Bad Applez! Can't wait to come back in three weeks to finish! So I've been searching for a tattoo place that has a good atmosphere, good talent, and an artist that makes you feel comfortable. I recently moved to Sanford and seen an ad on Facebook for them promoting their gift certificate special. It was buy and hour and they'll match your. Buy 2 hr get 2 free hrs buy 3 get 3 and so on. They did amazing work!!! They both me feel comfortable, we were laughing, she listened to what I wanted a delivered it. They have amazing tattoos for an adorable price. They post some really nice ink and people say they are really good. They run a lot of good deals which is hard to find at a good tattoo place. I haven't had any work by them yet but will be checking them out for myself soon. Read Less

Dan and Tressa are amazing. Tressa did my first tattoo and she has such a gentle touch and did an amazing job. The store is so clean and well taken care of and they're such a sweet couple. Dan and Tressa are both amazing artists. I got a cover up tattoo. I wasn't even thinking about covering it up because cover ups are usually just big and dark and blah. I just got used to my pathetic tat and was like 'whatever'. Lived with it for 22 years while the tattoo industry is evolving and tats were better and better and there was my embarrassing 1995 tattoo �. Dan took one look at it and immediately knew what to do, like instinct! He said he thrives on cover ups, ...loves it. Now THAT's the person you want to do your tattoo - instinct and passion.
