My friend lost the ball from her rook piercing while we were in town for a conference. I also wanted a daith piercing so after reading the reviews we walked in. We are moms/teachers in our 40s who have a few tattoos and piercings but are not real "hardcore."Ian helped us and was incredibly friendly. He looked at my daith and said he felt it was too small to safely pierce me there. He also told us that the daith piercing as a migraine sure is a myth and has been debunked. Ummmm Ian, aren't you here to make money!? HAHA. I really appreciated his professionalism and honesty. I also really wanted a piercing and he suggested a conch. He sanitized my jewelry, talked me through every step, was quick and made it easy, and then went over aftercare. I asked about an additional set of lobe piercings and he said that is too much at once. Again, so honest and professional!He was so great my friend decided to get her nostril pierced too! I would definitely consider heading back to St. Pete just to get another piercing from Ian if I'm in the area again! Highly recommended!

Today (Sunday) I went to get a small Tattoo and since they "open" at 2pm I thought it was the best place. So 2.5 hours later they were not open even though on the website it said they opened at 2pm. I stayed downstairs at 5 Buck Drinkery and no one came to open the shop. Even a staff member said that he was waiting but told me to tell them that he went home.. really? Cool i will take my business somewhere else.

I was fortunate enough to get Chris Jamison as my tattoo artist. I'm not only have skin that's been on my body for 65 years but I brought him a difficult tattoo. He explained that with my skin he was going to really take his time because he didn't want to traumatize my skin. He took his time and it turned out beautifully. He was thrilled with his masterpiece. We were together for 5 hours and he is someone I will never forget.

I was nervous as one can expect, but he babied me all the way through it and made me feel like a million bucks. I simply cannot say enough good things about getting pierced by Kat. I've been pierced 11 times in a variety of shops and this was the best. For starters she is so sweet and gentle-natured. I found her personality to be very calming and reassuring. She was also incredibly informative about the jewelry, anatomy, and piercing procedure. She takes her time to ensure that the piercing is exactly what you want and where you want. After we did the initial markings, she used a ring to show me exactly what the piercing would look like when I switched to hoops, and even how the hoops would fall in that position. She was very professional and kept everything very clean but was still fun and relaxing. I got a beautiful double helix and it was easily the best piercing experience I've ever had. You can tell how much she loves what she does and tries her best to be damn good at it. Even my friend was blown away and left the shop saying "Oh my god, I love her." I will definitely be returning to her for my next piercings.

Lost a plug late on Saturday. Was looking to get a new set and saw they were open until 8 pm. There were other places I could have gone if I had known they weren't going to sell jewelry. I arrived around 6:30 to find a sign that said "back in 30 minutes." We got some food, waited probably an hour, and checked back. I explained to the front desk person I needed new plugs. He pointed me to the tattoo artist who said he didn't know anything about jewelry and was just a tattoo ar...tist. I asked the front desk person if they could call someone to find out a price, I can see the plugs, I don't need them put in, I just need jewelry. They said they couldn't sell jewelry unless the piercer was there. I just needed a plug and I waited so long for them, nobody else was open. They referred me to another business and called them, but they were closed. I've never been to a shop that refused to sell jewelry. I just wanted to buy new plugs. See More

But, after it healed, I started realizing that the piercer pierced my septum so close to the tip of my nose, so low, that the piercing hangs very low, and he pierced my cartilage instead of the space between my cartilage. I even had another piercer at a different shop say it looked insanely low when I went to get a new piece of jewelry =(

As soon as we walked in the door they said that they're booked for the day (but there was all the employees watching only one man tattoo another), and then they referred us to a shop of a "close friend" that was CLOSED. So I went to Treasure Island Tattoo Company instead and they are so wonderful over there. Treasure island tats gave me the best first tattoo experience.

My experience getting pierced at St. Pete Tattoo Company was wonderful. Earlier this year I got my nostril pierced and it healed perfectly and looks great. Matt was my piercer and he is awesome and very sweet. I've had many piercings before and they would all get infected so I had pretty much given up on getting piercings. I'm thankful I went to St. Pete Tattoo because these piercings are doing so well and look great. I went back to get my septum pierced by Matt because I had such a great experience with the first one. By far one of the greatest piercings I've ever had. Everything is healing great and I am incredibly pleased. Highly highly highly recommend Matt for any piercings. He has reasonable prices and has many years of experience. The company also has a great shop and professional staff. 10/10

Just have to say, Matt is a phenomenal person and an amazing piercer! I used to go to another person for all of my piercings, now I only go to Matt for anything piercing related. He always takes great care of his customers and makes them feel welcomed. I warned him when I went to get my first piercing done by him that I have a history of becoming faint when being pierced, and that I would need to lay down and everything; he assured me that there would be no passing out and that it would be done before even noticing that it happened. I have not once passed out with him! Which is such a relief. His shop is clean and sterile - all jewelry is high quality, top-notch embellishments for the human body. I've never had a bad experience with Matt. I will be constantly returning to the shop for all my piercing needs. If you don't stop by for your next piercing, well, you're missing out!

He did such an amazing job piercing my nose and it never got infected or obtained keloids once. Now it's fully healed and I will never go to another piercer again. 10/10 recommend.I also got tattooed by Adam and his line work is so clean. I love my gnarly turtle tattoo he did on my ankle. I told him exactly what I was thinking about for my tattoo and it was like he read my mind and drew it on paper. I was so impressed by his imagination and his great personality .10/10 recommend!! :)

I highly recommend St. Pete Tattoo Co. in downtown St. Petersburg. I called beforehand, and spoke with Adam on the phone, and he told me I could come by anytime. I met with Nick and he looked at the typography samples I brought, and said that he could do it no problem. My main priority was clean type with thin lines and precise curves. I wanted both of my layouts on my inner upper forearms, and Nick took the time to place the transfers just right, so that the designs aligned properly. Nick took his time and was very steady and patient. He was thorough, yet he finished both of the layouts within the hour and I was on my way. I am extremely happy wth how the type came out and would definitely go back and have Nick do more work on me. Both Adam and Nick were amiable and easy to get along with, thanks again!

I will NEVER get tattooed anywhere else. I've made the mistake of going to different shops in the beginning of my journey to be covered in tattoos but now I know better. These artists are not only patient with you but will help educate you and not just put anything on you. Something we all know you'll regret later or will look like garbage in 2 years and I really appreciate that!!So glad I have St.Pete Tattoo Company and Ybor City Tattoo Company to lay under the gun for. There's a reason why I get so many compliments on my tattoos and have earned a spread in INKED magazine, twice! It's because I allow these artists to work on me, and I could not be happier with the outcome.It's permanent people, make the right decision and go see these lovely, classy and extremely talented folks at YCTC or SPTC.

Chris exceeding our expectations and we are beyond happy with our tattoos. He talked to each of us through the process and made sure we were doing good!! I simply cannot say enough good things about getting pierced by Kat. I've been pierced 11 times in a variety of shops and this was the best. For starters she is so sweet and gentle-natured. I found her personality to be very calming and reassuring. She was also incredibly informative about the jewelry, anatomy, and piercing procedure. She takes her time to ensure that the piercing is exactly what you want and where you want. After we did the initial markings, she used a ring to show me exactly what the piercing would look like when I switched to hoops, and even how the hoops would fall in that position. She was very professional and kept everything very clean but was still fun and relaxing. I got a beautiful double helix and it was easily the best piercing experience I've ever had. You can tell how much she loves what she does and tries her best to be damn good at it. Even my friend was blown away and left the shop saying "Oh my god, I love her." I will definitely be returning to her for my next piercings.

Lost a plug late on Saturday. Was looking to get a new set and saw they were open until 8 pm. There were other places I could have gone if I had known they weren't going to sell jewelry. I arrived around 6:30 to find a sign that said "back in 30 minutes." We got some food, waited probably an hour, and checked back. I explained to the front desk person I needed new plugs. He pointed me to the tattoo artist who said he didn't know anything about jewelry and was just a tattoo ar...tist. I asked the front desk person if they could call someone to find out a price, I can see the plugs, I don't need them put in, I just need jewelry. They said they couldn't sell jewelry unless the piercer was there. I just needed a plug and I waited so long for them, nobody else was open. They referred me to another business and called them, but they were closed. I've never been to a shop that refused to sell jewelry. I just wanted to buy new plugs. See More

The piercer was very nice and friendly, but the piercing was more painful than I had anticipated. I ignored it, given most piercings are painful especially on the nose. But, after it healed, I started realizing that the piercer pierced my septum so close to the tip of my nose, so low, that the piercing hangs very low, and he pierced my cartilage instead of the space between my cartilage. I even had another piercer at a different shop say it looked insanely low when I went to get a new piece of jewelry =(

My mother and I went here so I can get a tattoo done for my birthday. As soon as we walked in the door they said that they're booked for the day (but there was all the employees watching only one man tattoo another), and then they referred us to a shop of a "close friend" that was CLOSED. So I went to Treasure Island Tattoo Company instead and they are so wonderful over there. Treasure island tats gave me the best first tattoo experience.

My experience getting pierced at St. Pete Tattoo Company was wonderful. Earlier this year I got my nostril pierced and it healed perfectly and looks great. Matt was my piercer and he is awesome and very sweet. I've had many piercings before and they would all get infected so I had pretty much given up on getting piercings. I'm thankful I went to St. Pete Tattoo because these piercings are doing so well and look great. I went back to get my septum pierced by Matt because I had such a great experience with the first one. By far one of the greatest piercings I've ever had. Everything is healing great and I am incredibly pleased. Highly highly highly recommend Matt for any piercings. He has reasonable prices and has many years of experience. The company also has a great shop and professional staff. 10/10

Just have to say, Matt is a phenomenal person and an amazing piercer! I used to go to another person for all of my piercings, now I only go to Matt for anything piercing related. He always takes great care of his customers and makes them feel welcomed. I warned him when I went to get my first piercing done by him that I have a history of becoming faint when being pierced, and that I would need to lay down and everything; he assured me that there would be no passing out and that it would be done before even noticing that it happened. I have not once passed out with him! Which is such a relief. His shop is clean and sterile - all jewelry is high quality, top-notch embellishments for the human body. I've never had a bad experience with Matt. I will be constantly returning to the shop for all my piercing needs. If you don't stop by for your next piercing, well, you're missing out!

I have gotten numerous piercings at many shops around the country and I've Had to take almost every single one of them out due to bad piercing jobs. I had lost faith until I met Matt. He did such an amazing job piercing my nose and it never got infected or obtained keloids once. Now it's fully healed and I will never go to another piercer again. 10/10 recommend.I also got tattooed by Adam and his line work is so clean. I love my gnarly turtle tattoo he did on my ankle. I told him exactly what I was thinking about for my tattoo and it was like he read my mind and drew it on paper. I was so impressed by his imagination and his great personality .10/10 recommend!! :)

He was timely and still did an AMAZING job on our matching tats. We're so happy with how they came out and he was so appreciative of us and his tip (some guys don't show appreciation because they're either cocky/arrogant or ungrateful). This made us happy. I highly recommend St. Pete Tattoo Co. in downtown St. Petersburg. I called beforehand, and spoke with Adam on the phone, and he told me I could come by anytime. I met with Nick and he looked at the typography samples I brought, and said that he could do it no problem. My main priority was clean type with thin lines and precise curves. I wanted both of my layouts on my inner upper forearms, and Nick took the time to place the transfers just right, so that the designs aligned properly. Nick took his time and was very steady and patient. He was thorough, yet he finished both of the layouts within the hour and I was on my way. I am extremely happy wth how the type came out and would definitely go back and have Nick do more work on me. Both Adam and Nick were amiable and easy to get along with, thanks again!

I will NEVER get tattooed anywhere else. I've made the mistake of going to different shops in the beginning of my journey to be covered in tattoos but now I know better. These artists are not only patient with you but will help educate you and not just put anything on you. Something we all know you'll regret later or will look like garbage in 2 years and I really appreciate that!!So glad I have St.Pete Tattoo Company and Ybor City Tattoo Company to lay under the gun for. There's a reason why I get so many compliments on my tattoos and have earned a spread in INKED magazine, twice! It's because I allow these artists to work on me, and I could not be happier with the outcome.It's permanent people, make the right decision and go see these lovely, classy and extremely talented folks at YCTC or SPTC.
