Neil is a great guy and a very talented artist. He helped me fix a tattoo from another shop and turn it into a masterpiece. He was always diligent on following up with me via text/calls and confirming dates/times as well as ideas/decisions for my tat. His shop is very clean and a relaxed setting, make sure to sign your name to his wall! Most importantly, i wanted to share that I just had a daughter and Neil and I ended up discussing our children and fatherhood for an hour or so. This is above and beyond the customer service and client experience you can expect at a regular tattoo shop. It's really hard to find shops in my area that are open on Sundays. I came in with an idea for an ivy but I was rushing it just hadn't formatted in my head. As soon as I walk in I meet Neil!!!! Immediately he took my ideas and pictures and worked with me to come up with my vision of my ivy. My hand is pretty small so the placement was key. Neil is amazing! He's an amazing artist, a true professional, and willing to take on a challenge! I wanted to get an extremely long quote on my arm (105 words to be exact) and I had other artists tell me that it just couldn't be done "too many words, not enough space" so after being shot down, I reached out to the Ink God himself, and he was not only willing to do it, but for a reasonable price, and actually was excited for the challenge! He was very precise and patient while... we worked on the size, style, and spacing of the font. It was the only tattoo shop in my area open late on Sunday. I was warmly welcomed by tattoo artist Neil and he listened closely to what tattoos I wanted to get due to my personal story and he even congratulated me on my progress and seemed to really care and said he was excited to work with me and draw up my wants in my tattoos. He was very helpful and gave no complaints when I asked to see different fonts and images and even added in his honest professional artistic suggestions which I appreciated ...and my tattoos turned out even better than I thought! I took my daughter here for her birthday tattoo based upon other Yelp reviews  ... and I'm so glad I did. I am amazed at how well Neil duplicated my handwriting! Called Neil on hours the shop wasn't even open and got an answer. After talking to two or three other shops on the top ten rated shops in Pinellas a link I had Googled which happened to be a link to Yelp, the first of which in its Yelp ad said it had three artists and one did scripting (which is what I wanted) to find out they only do full sleeves or more. Now I realize for a tattoo junkie sure that may be the best, but imho the best covers everyone's needs.... Left a message with another that never got returned. Left a voicemail with Penny at 13 arrows which sounded like the perfect environment for me she promptly texted me asking for my email, then asked for a description of what I wanted, and within minutes (again super responsive and professional) told me she didn't do script work it was a very specific skill set, so props for her running her business very professionally then like I said I get Neil OUTSIDE business hours told him what I wanted it was my first tattoo was pretty basic and he said it would probably be the shop minimum of $60 (which I wasn't going to let him get away with unless I hated it as tipping isn't a city in China) so as I live right down the road and sleep days I asked him if he could call me 20 minutes before the appointment and I ended up having to take my sleeping pills getting to sleep later than I had wanted to, he got busy and forgot to call (heck life happens to all of us no biggy) and I had even set my clock but I have chronic pain so after waking up was still a bit drowsy from my sleep meds and my painkillers dropped me back into a light doze. When I woke up later that night didn't feel so well went back to sleep and slept through the next day till around 6ish. When I woke up, called him he apologized for forgetting to call, like I said before no big deal he said to come in around an hour and a half from that time. Called back a bit later to find out what I wanted done again, I asked him if I should go ahead and head up, he said sure, so I jumped in the car and drove up to the shop. He had 3 drawings done of the letters, I should have mentioned beforehand they were female initials and I wanted them cursive and kinda feminine so he quickly drew up a couple different ones I picked the first he had done as it was just what I had pictured and he got the stencil we made sure it was exact placement then he started doing it. I hardly felt it although I won't lie I had taken a couple extra pain pills before he started so really I felt no pain whatsoever. Normally I don't do that but I limit myself and only take what I have to and since I'm used to pain even on the pills maybe I'm not the best person to ask about pain rating. Anyhow we kinda just bs'd while he worked and he was done before I knew it. I gave him a nice tip and was on my way - he gave me very specific care instructions and was sure I left with the printed version and the ointment to keep on it. I am no expert but I'd recommend him to anyone be they first timers like me or anyone looking for more work. He's a great guy! Thanks again Neil - Chris. Read Less
