Phenomenal shop filled with artists whom you can trust, understand your style and make you feel comfortable during the whole experience. Pepper made me feel so safe & drew up each tattoo I received prior to the actual tattooing so we could edit them to my liking - she wants you to leave happy. She's also organized, clean and neat. Pepper is a unique gem in the tattoo world! With so many tattoo shops to choose from in St. Pete, Pepper stood above the rest with her passion, talent, and commitment to quality. If you're looking for a shop to just copy a picture from the wall onto your body, she's probably not the artist for you. She takes the time to make each tattoo a unique piece of art; not the same unoriginal image you see over and over on everyone else. I had a one-dimensional concept that she helped me put into reality and took the time to make sure the design was something that would look great long term. Pepper is the type of person who makes sure her art work fits your idea. Do make a consultation, but she can deliver on the fly afterwards too. I gave her the basic form of anchor I wanted and invited her to add the rest. The original anchor design came out great, but close to tattoo time I noticed something was missing. Finding someone whom you can trust, understands your your style and makes you feel comfortable during the whole experience is not an easy one but when you find the right person, you get to become part of as masterpiece. This brings me to Pepper & 13 Arrows Tattoo!When I first met Pepper for a tattoo it was in Hawaii, before the birth of 13 Arrows. I was in my nervous stages. She made me feel so safe & helped to design me a simple cat silhouette on my ankle that still managed to have personality. I loved it and shortly after decided I wanted a small color piece. I had seen some of her artwork & the passion was evident. I've never met a person so dedicated to her work and not just as a tattooist, but as an artist. The apple on my shoulder was next, something I had seen in her paintings and OH MY GOD it was perfect. Pepper made me realize how much personality a tattoo has on the person it adorns & she knows her to make you shine in her work. She is also probably one of the sweetest souls I've ever known & it's so easy to pass time with her. The addiction was real & she went on to make me a moon, stars and a beautiful bumblebee universe before leaving Hawaii for St. Pete. My heart broke... & then she opened 13 Arrows & a trip to Florida happened!Walking into 13 Arrows, you almost feel like you're entering an artists living room. It has a very clean, sleek, modern feel; a comfy white leather couch with colorful pillows, artwork adorns the walls and her drawing desk straight ahead. Black and teal accents warm the space; you can't help but feel comfy & at home. It's honestly almost a view into her soul, such a personal vibe and I appreciated the openness. I had already called ahead so she had my design ready - a Tinkerbell sketch with watercolor splashes. I had given her my wants but she managed to go inside my head & made the most beautiful sketch I couldn't have known I was dreaming of. A perfect mix of my style with hers; it's scary how well she reads you. This was my biggest piece to date, covering my calf & I was almost nervous... until Pepper set up. She's organized, clean, neat & treats you like you've known each other for years. She offered me any music I wanted, water, anything I needed which was new for me; I imagine this is what first class life is like! Like I said, she wants you to feel good the whole time. The whole experience took way less time than I thought it would for the quality and I was blown away by the final product. Pepper truly cares about what she does and you can see it in all her work. This is her life and it's why her work is such perfection. I've never met a tattooist with her personalized touch & I don't imagine I ever will. True ARTIST! I recommend 13 Arrows highly for anyone new or old to the tattoo community. I can't wait for my next trip to see her! This place rocks! I've had a few tense and stressful experiences while being tattooed...this was the opposite. Light hand, relaxing music. The artist, Pepper, is so talented. Her work speaks for itself which was the main reason I booked after having seen a friend's tattoo from her. I like that she's the only artist in house so it's a very private experience. In other shops I feel like cattle lined up on tables with loud music and all those machine's running. 13 Arrows does it the way it should be. Especially if your piece is meaningful because the experience of getting it is worthy of the piece. She does all custom one of a kind pieces. I feel like I'm walking around with fine art in my arm! Had a fantastic experience here. The shop is a little more lux than your average tattoo studio. The front lobby has a cozy leather couch where you can look through the artist's books of work. Her art is also all over the walls and for sale at reasonable prices. Tattoo prices are the same as everywhere in St Pete except she's running a grand opening special for first time clients..20% off. Score! I wanted a small octopus on an anchor. I wanted it girlie/feminine and colorful. She listened to exactly what I wanted and drew it up. Asked me if I wanted to make changes...listened to my ideas, which is fantastic. Her studio is clean as a whistle and she was meticulous about sterilization. She played music of my choice which again is amazing. Most studios I've been tattooed in I end up listening to death metal or something that does that opposite of helping me relax through the pain of a tattoo. Another thing I liked is her machine is way quieter than ones I've been tattooed with before. This whole combo helped me have a much more zen experience.
