I would never go back there again. I texted the artist and set up a time to come in and get some work in that night...after driving all the way there and waiting for him to draw up the stencils and get ready to do it he says he noticed now he can’t do it due to time limit. I said u didn’t know the time when we first spoke on time. He kept using different excuses and every time i would prove a point he d come up with another excuse. We were in St. Augustine for a girlie week trip and my bestie wanted to get her first tattoo while I was getting another one. We looked up Electric Chair on the web and didn’t look at any other place. We went to the first one and Cindy was nice stating she didn’t have openings until later but directed us to their newest location on A1A. When we got there it was quiet, and charming. You could tell they were still setting up the place, but the shop was clean, decorated well, and everyone was very friendly. John was setting up a new tattoo chair when we expressed we wanted to both get little hearts. He finished putting he chair away and then helped us. He was super friendly, kind, talked to us and made the experience feel great. He set up to do our tattoos with clean and steril materials He did a small heart in red on my friend and a stitched heart on mine. He hand drew very well both of them and they both look amazing. The bikini shop in the same shop had a very friendly and nice girl making suits who talked to us as well. My experience wit The Electric Chair Tattoo shop was phenomenal. I chose to go to the shop on US 1 since it is closer to my residence. Everything was seamless from initial contact via email to a phone call to Danny to set up an appointment. Jeremiah graciously let Danny know he could see me within 20 minutes. I arrived at the US 1 location and Jeremiah was ready for me. He was very respectful , very kind and acted as if I were getting a $600 tattoo as opposed to the small Wrist Tattoo I wanted. He did an excellent job while being both professional and friendly. I would make an infomercial for this particular shop if they asked me to. Kudos, Jeremiah. My cousin and I found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out. We got the same tattoo done by Charlie. After reading the reviews on this place, I was sure everything would turn out great. The tattoos looked good as soon as we left. Within 4 hours, the ink on my tattoo had completely spread and now after 3 weeks, I realize it's badly blown out. My cousins tattoo isn't blown out, but it has got several missing areas of ink now, like it just chipped off. We both did the proper post-tattoo care. Beautiful, immaculate shop located in the plaza on A Street and A1A. Skyler is unequivocally amazing. He's a skilled artist who will create a beautiful work of art from your (potentially) abstract concept and work with you if you have any alterations or suggestions on the final design. He's not pushy at all, his bedside manner is unrivaled and he isn't heavy-handed, so your new ink won't heal with ridiculously raised scars (like my first from a different shop).Note that this shop is cash-only. This was my first tattoo and I went in with a friend who was also getting her first tattoo. We were so clearly freaking out, but so quickly we were made to feel calm and had it been any other artist, I'm not sure if I could have gone all the way through with it. My tattoo came out perfectly and I'm so happy with it. If it wasn't a secret tattoo I'd be raving all about this place on FB, but instead I created a Yelp account just so I could recommend that anyone searching for a tattoo parlor should look no further than Electric Chair! I'm familiar with St. Augustine because I went to school there, but I now live over an hour away and I think it's definitely worth the drive. The place is super clean, and if you're freaking out, it's two seconds from the beach, you can go walk it off!
