Easily one of the best tattoo shops I've ever been to. First off, this shop is owned by the artists. This is a big deal to me. Personally, I am always a little weary of tattoo shops not owned by the artists. I believe the artists have a lot more power when they own the shops themselves. (Tattoos are one of a kind art going permanently onto your body... always make sure you're supporting the artists creating your tattoo is the best way possible.)The vibe is welcoming and extremely professional. Each member of the staff is extremely approachable and exceptionally knowledgeable. The shop is clean and very organized.I also appreciate the huge range of styles amongst the artists in the shop. Often there are guest artists visiting as well. I've been to the shop to be tattooed by the resident artists as well as a guest artist. Each and every of my experiences has been amazing. I rate this store with four stars as one tattoo was supposed to be realism and ended not being at all and turn over is quick for artists. Russell seems to be the only one sticking around. This is the one Russell did and is very good tattoo. We are changing the center so stay tuned. Read Less

The tattoo shop was very clean, the atmosphere was very relaxing and we were greeted immediately as we walked in. My boyfriend filled out thorough paperwork which made me feel good that the place kept good records and covered lots of topics. Squire's reputation proceeded him as he was friendly, courteous, efficient and so talented! He created the exact image we had discussed with him in a few minutes and his detail was spot on. I like to feel out tatoo artists before I make any decision on using them. I ask some dumb questions on purpose to see how they react and if they will take their time with me and give some effort. At almost 200 an hour for something permanent, they should put effort into that consultation. The guy I met with didn't make any effort at all. Do not go to Chloe. She is not skilled, did not do a quality job, then after the fact blamed the shoddy work on the placement by the ankle. (During the consult she never brought up any concerns or statements that placing a tattoo on the ankle would lead to color or clarity issues.) Russell is the man! He did awesome on my piece--drew it all himself and free handed a lot of the details. His other work is absolutely insane! He really does awesome shade work. I haven't had any of the other artists do any work on me, but I've only seen and heard great things. They're waits can be LONG, but that alone just attests to their great work. Of all the hundreds of tattoo shops in Tampa Bay; Trilogy Tattoos is the BEST!!! At least in my opinion, here's why. It's non-pretentious, clean open shop, and every artist here is extremely dedicated and incredibly talented!!  Walk-ins are welcome BUT it's better to schedule something that way you're not waiting forever in the lobby, and it gives the artists more time to design the stencil.Most of my friends get there work done here including my wife and I and NONE of us have left disappointed, but instead leave wanting more and more. It's hard to find a shop this good but this IS IT!!! The artist my wife and I cling to is Jennifer Lynn (IG: @jenniferlynntattoo) and she's just kills it every time!! She primarily focuses on the old-school traditional style of tattoo which is exactly what we all love and she does it amazingly well. Jen is also an easy going pro who knows how to guide you when it comes to placement, size and color. Which is perfect cuz you def want to leave with a tattoo looking right! She's also super patient and kind and if you need to tap out, get food or take a potty break at any point, she'll be understanding! I can't say enough good things about this artist! A few of my friends also rave about Squire Strahan and Russell Widner and love their work. I haven't personally had any work done from the rest of the artists here but being that this a pretty chill shop, I've made small talk and conversation with them and everyone here is soo cool. Pricing here is a super reasonable rate, but it always varies depending on placement, colors, and design. So def think: you get what you pay for, and this shop is worth spending the money on. Just talk to your artist, share ideas and ask for an estimate! And DEFINITELY don't low ball an artist. Just be honest if you're on a budget; tell them what you can afford and let the artist decide how much they can realistically do. Great custom shop if your in the area and have some time. All of the artists are cool as shi@ and are all about making your tattoo awesome. Brent Springer is working on my old school leg sleeve and is a cool dude for sure. They all know what styles they like to do, and have no issues directing your style at another artist. I traveled to from Naples to Brandon to visit my sister, and we were planning on getting tattoos during my visit. We ended up at Trilogy Tattoos, and honestly, it was the best decision we made. We were paired with Aaron, and between the two of us we got three tattoos, mainly just black script writing. These tattoos were very important to us so it was crucial they were perfect, and Aaron helped us accomplish that. He understood what we wanted, brought some ideas to the table and our visions came to life. The level of professionalism in this store is astounding, and all of the staff are very friendly and caring. This is my very first tattoo and I'm so insanely happy that I waited and found the right artist. Squire is insanely talented and honestly that's an understatement. I showed him a rough idea of what I was thinking with a few changes. He drew up my idea better then I even could have dreamt. Trilogy Tattoos deserves no less!Squire Strahan has been so pleasant and courteous to work with since I first contacted him months ago. Their online contact system is efficient and they reply to you promptly. The consultation allowed me to come in and see the shop myself and the artists in action. Clean, spacious, bright, sanitary, and steady flow of customers. Squire understood what I wanted right away and only had positive things to say.  He quoted me an estimate on time and total.Then came my own fumble...I had an initial appointment set for months ago. But financially, I couldn't back it. So we rescheduled for October 17. THEN it turned out, I had reached my budget faster! So I contacted him once more and moved up my appointment to...last evening!He thanked me for moving it up. I thanked him! He didn't consider my constant changes an inconvenience at all. Also- we arrived a little late and he was just concerned that the traffic we dealt with on the way was okay.As for his artistry- it's all great! I may not be a top tattoo expert but a lot of his work is American traditional as well as neo-traditional. The piece I got can be categorized as...black work/line work. Anyway- from what I've seen on my friend, fellow Yelper Katrina, his flash work and my own piece- I don't think there's anything he can't do.Oh and the cherry on top is realizing a piece that I had anticipated to be a 3-4 hour session- turned out to be 1.5 hours. He doesn't mess around and works quickly and diligently. So I met Alex at a tattoo convention in NYC. This guys knows his stuff. I knew when I was back in FL I would visit Trilogy. First off its bright and CLEAN and welcoming. We had discussed what I wanted in NYC and when I got to FL he had everything drawn up as of from my own head. He was light handed and quick. Came here to get ink done by Squire. A friend of mine has several tats from him, and all of hers look gorgeous - bright, colorful, awesome.The prices are fair, and the guys are super chill. The atmosphere is laid back. Anyone who walks in is greeted, and they never hesitate to take a second - even if they're with someone - to answer any questions someone might have walking in. They also don't hesitate to give honest answers.The table I was on was very comfortable. The temperature in the shop is frigid, but honestly, when you're getting tattooed (at least for me) I get a little clammy so the cool air definitely was a godsend.The ONLY possible complaints I could have is that being that I got a relatively large rib tattoo, I felt extremely exposed with my shirt almost off on the table closest to the door. There are no walls or curtains or anything blocking off view from people walking in. I'm not the skinniest girl so I'm a bit self conscious about my fluff.Also, later in the day, the sun shines directly through the windows, so it's definitely bright (and warm) if you find yourself in the sunlight.Bottom line: the guys know what they're doing, and they're good at it.
