I was recommended by a co-worker because she said the prices were cheap and the work was good so I said why not right? As soon as I walk into the place it smells like cigarettes, I didn't think anything of it. Then I walked up to the lady and she asks me what I'm here for and I say a tattoo, I show her and she says $45. My friend compliments the shop and she doesn't even look at him and just says "thanks." She was very rude with no excitement in her voice, very bland and horrible customer service skills. Because of her I did not want to get tattooed there, so I left. I've had a lot of piercings done here over the years. I've never had to wait unreasonably, or had to deal with anyone unprofessional. They open their needles in front of me everytime. My industrial was done here and I love it. I also did some other places which are also great. My last experience wasn't the best though. I got my septum pierced but he didn't do it straight.....so I took it out! Waste of pain and money. Got there about 45 minutes before closing they were rushing us the whole entire time forcing us what we needed to get done. The piercer ended up putting in jewelry that was way too short for me and it started embedding into my skin and got a little infected they also used cheap jewelry in the new piercing. also in their bathroom their garbage was piled way high higher than any business should have their trash, especially a tattoo shop. NEVER go here. The place is so unorganized. I went in to get my nose pierced for a hoop. After telling the piercer what I wanted, he forgot and pierced with a smaller needle and put in a stud. He had to re-pierce over the hole with the proper sized needle. He also used an open hoop that he just squeezed to smallen the opening, then rotated the opening into my nostril. I asked if the opening would go into the pierced hole, he said no. I noticed I couldn't rotate my jewelry at all. So after 2 weeks, I went to a better shop and got it confirmed that the opening of the jewelry was in the hole and half of the hole healed. And, the piercer put it like that! Plus he never marked where he was putting it or asked where I wanted I places other than left side, or right.The piercer kept insisting that I was high and must have done x,y,z drugs.Long story short, they're unprofessional, cocky/arrogant/ full of them selves, and didn't really know what they were doing. I got both of my nipples pierced and my best friend had three dermals done here. We're both very happy with the experience that we had the piercer I forgot his name was very nice and professional. He took his time with doing my friends dermals but he had told her before hand that he does not rush dermals which is good in our book. He even went back and re anchored one of the dermals he did on her because he didn't think it was flush enough like the others. Also he made sure that they were all lined up as perfectly as he could. Please do not come here, get your tattoos done somewhere else! I got my first tattoo done and the man at the counter was very unhelpful. It seemed as though he had no care for my needs. I should have known something was wrong but I continued in excitement for my tattoo. The tattoo artist placed the tattoo outline or whatever on me without realizing that it was crooked. He was then obviously able to move it after I pointed it out. After, the tattoo was not fully shades the way it was supposed to. It was also not the same sized letters. Ehhhh, I have mixed feelings about this place. Me & my sisters and cousins were visiting the area and we decided to get pierced. Me and my sister got our nose and my cousins got their tongue web pierced. The good: *the prices are really good. I paid 25 for a nose piercing. The tongue webs were 35.*the actual piercing process went smoothly (for me anyway). *The guy who pierced us was nice enough and he answered all the questions we had. *We didn't have much of a wait. the bad: *when you first walk in, all you smell is cigarette smoke. I was really turned off by that. I would've walked out but I didn't feel like finding another place.*It's cash only. *And one of my cousins said the guy cursed at her when he was doing her piercing. Now, she was being a little difficult, freaking out over her piercing. But she's getting a new piercing and it's understandable for someone to be a little scared. He should've handled that way better. *no aftercare instructions! I didn't need any because I already had the other side of my nose done and I know what to do and what not to do. And I told him he didn't need to go over anything with me. But my sister and cousins all got new piercings and they all felt like the guy should've gave them more thorough instructions on how to care for their piercings. They ended up looking for instructions on the internet.*And, I didn't realize this til a day or so later but the jewelry the guy used on me was too small. My jewelry is sinking into my nose.All in all, you get what you pay for. The very low prices kinda makes up for the experience. Horrible customer service.. I asked for a medusa piercing & the guy there, that looked like he was 15 years old, told me it would cost 30$. I agreed & gave him my ID but then he asked for the money upfront, i said NO ill give you the money when my piercing is over like every tattoo shop does.. When i went inside the room i asked the guy to pierced my lip from the outside going in, but he insisted it to be from the inside out. I told him he would see where he was going if he did it tht way. By the way very unproffesional he was dressed in a white tee, shorts, & jordan slides with no socks. I kinda felt discusted. So i ended up leaving w/o a piercing. 1st and foremost the shop on 27th ave is ran by an old lady that sounds like she's going through menopause with her nasty attitude! Not only does she have a nasty attitude she seems like she's racist! I've witnessed her treating her employees like slaves and with attitude as if they were dogs! Never have I been to a tattoo shop where the artists are not allowed to price tattoos when THEY are the ones tattooing! Who in the world does that?! I e been to plenty tattoo shops and the artists are allowed to price their own work! I think these artists should consider working in other shops, how in the world is it that they are the artists and a manger that has NO TATTOO EXPERIENCE gives a price??? Are you kidding me? I would understand if it was an experienced tattooist or someone who has tattoos but no freaken way dude! My husband whom is a police officer was not pleased with this at all. I don't know if the other my tattoo shops work the same or have an experienced individual managing the stores but they need to replace the manger on 27th ave.. She does body piercing NOT tattoos! I've never seen this in my life. There's 2 artists that are great workers but with a boss like that I would of been quit! I even felt ashamed for those guys. If your looking to get tattooed and tested fair with a nice attitude DO NOT go to the shop on 27th ave as long as that old nasty attitude inexperienced lady.. I'm so disappointed with that place. Let me start off by saying I've  been to my share of tattoo parlors and I have about 6 tattoos.  I came here after work on a Friday about 5:30.When I first walked in here the first thing that hit me was "Damn this place smells kind of funky". I proceeded to ask the front desk girl about getting my nose pierced. The good thing about My Tattoo Shop is most piercings are $20. If you know anything about piercings you know damn well thats cheap. There was only 1 tattoo/piercer and he was "finishing" up a tattoo. I wasn't in a hurry so I waited. Hello guys! Well heres my review! Ive have a few tattos and pierceings done from the my tattoo shops and i have to say over all theyve been good expierances. The staff was friendly, and helpful and the work was professional and great. They helped make my decisions easy and were very informative when it came to the aftercare instructions, more than willing to answer any and all questions i had. Ive also called a few times with questions and the person who answered the phone always sounded inviting and were veyr helpful!. My self and my whole family and exteneded family go to the my tattoo shops for anything we want to get done and i cant see us doing it any other way. Personally Ive seen some very beautiful work come out of these placesand everyone i talk to have nothing but good things to say.
