It's clean shop with nice flash but you can't judge it based on that. I was a walk in client and very hyped over a special tattoo I created to commemorate my Dad that recently died. It was not my 1st tattoo and it would be my smallest. Within 12 hours it started to swell and seep ink. This was NOT usual for my body. I followed instructions of the artist and it swelled, bubbled and seeped more like oozed color out of my skin. By the next aftetnoons end I had to wrap paper towel on it. I was at work. And because it was just seeping out and looked gross and unhealthy.  Worried I went back to the artist (after work) to ask if he had seen this b4. I was concerned because this never happened to me over the 20+ years I've been inked. I was worried it may be a reaction to new ink. Never did I accuse him of doing anything wrong. The artist immediately got rudely defensive! He repeated himself saying "I don't know what you did to it, I don't know what you have put on it, I don't know what you have been doing to it" and so on. "I told him LOOK I'm telling your what I have done, and what you instructed. I'm just wanting to  know about the ink and letting you know this is not normal for me. Could it a a allergic reaction? I'm wanting your instructions not looking for balme"  He continued to repeat himself and told me to come back in a week let it air out 100% and come back if it needs touched up.  I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. I will go to another shop even if I have to pay.  This artist made a quick $140 for a small single color tattoo taking him less than 35 minutes. He had no care about the after effects. I didn't appreciate him insinuating I did anything wrong and all he did was deflect back onto myself. If you want a good before and after experience I advice to go elsewhere. Read Less

I went here at age 17 doc did my butterfly have bat wing with blood dripping down tattoo he was amazing and his kids are amazing people as well. And mike did my guitar for my papa tho its not how I wanted it. It still turned out amazing and I love that he at least try to see my vision. I would not say nothing bad about them or they shop. And if any of you have a problem with them than maybe take your own advice and sit the hell down and grow up good tattoos are not cheap. I know I'm way late on my review it's 3/11 I got my piece done on 1/27 but even almost 2 months later I still look down at my arm and I can't believe it's mine, and it will be for the rest of my life. Bruce did my half sleeve/shoulder piece and I plan on having him finish it. I sat in that f*cking chair for 6 hours and out of the atleast 20 hours worth of ink I have in my body it was easily one of the easier 6 ours of my life. If you ride a motorcycle I highly recommend this shop because it makes it that much easier to strike up conversation. I got this tattooed by an older man with a ponytail; worst tattoo ever! I'm actually embarrassed by it. The lines are uneven and I have permanent blue ink stain on my skin that I've been told won't ever go away, I've had this tattoo 2 years and the stain in still there. I went to Aces and Eights today to get my cheeks pierced. I am so happy with the way they came out! I don't think anyone could've done a better job. I just moved from another state. I was already established with a piercer from there for 5 years. It was a little nerve racking to just trust another person, but Doc was awesome. He was very nice, and made me feel really comfortable. Nice and clean shop, very professional. Not to mention it's a family owned business, which for me is a plus. I will definitely be going there again to add on to my list of piercings. I also took a look at their tattoo's they've done there and I'm quite impressed. I was first recommended to Aces and Eights back in 2001. At that time I had a butterfly put on my chest by Paul. The environment is great and the staff will do all it can to assist you in getting a great tattoo. I then returned again in 2003 and had a symbol for star done, again by Paul. I moved to Indiana and have not come across a shop as great as Aces and Eights. I returned recently on a visit to Clearwater and made it my first priority to stop in and get another piece done.This time Curtis put my twins son's names on my wrists. The parking is still great and the shop has only improved. The work is still remarkable! I HIGHLY pass on the recommendation that I received years ago! P.S. While on vacation i was looking for someone to recolor a tattoo that i had previously.After going to visit 5 or 6 shops in the Clearwater area i was referred to Aces and Eights. The overall experience at Aces and Eights is very comfortable, yet professional.
