As a memeber of the military community here in Pensacola, I did what any person new to a duty station would do- I asked around. An acquaintance referred me to Gulf Coast however, I was extremely unimpressed with my brief visit. The artist who had been working on a shoulder piece with me willingly agreed to draw some sketches for me and encouraged that we "hammer ideas out." After a few revisions though, he became extremely agitated telling me to make up my mind. He even started to walk around to other artists, explaining to them how tired he was of drawing, loud enough so I could hear. For a place that claims to be military friendly, I was severely disappointed with the lack of respect and courtesy given. Save your time and take your business and money elsewhere. Read Less

If I could give this place 7 stars I would because thats how many they gave me (literally) I got the big dipper constellation on my shoulder blade and I absolutely love it! The staff was so helpful on my decision and I couldn't have asked for a better experience especially since this was my first tattoo. They make you feel very comfortable and relaxed and the setting is very cool to be in as well. Very clean place and well kept. The staff knows what they're doing and shares a lot of knowledge with you, such a great experience, 10/10 would recommend! Read Less

I'm not sure who 'Angil' is but i am Shane Jolly (manager) at gulf coast tattoo . i do not tolerate price gouging at Gulf Coast Tattoo and I'd like to know where this information was gathered from . as a matter of fact the first person who walks through the door and mentions this post will get their tattoo for 50%off . as for the cab situation goes ; we pay to have our advertisements in their windows . and we do this with multiple cab companies . there always has to be a hater out there but we appreciate our haters because having them means that we are doing something right . I'm sorry if we've stole your business 'Angil' or should i say 'disgruntled ex employee' . i cant help if we treat our customers as important as they are to us . we make sure that every customer is greeted at the door with a smiling face and positive attitude and quality service . if y'all will notice i put my real name on here because i am not scared to be truthful to the people who want to find a nice , professional tattoo shop to get work at . we buy food for our customers on the weekend and provide them with a lounge to hang out in while they're waiting that has 3 plasma screen TVs , play station 3 , Xbox 360 and Netflix .
