Alex is a stone cold killer and everything about this shop is perfect. I got my tattoo about 7 months ago and it looks just as good as the day I got it. I get asked all the time if it's new and where I got it done at. The shop is super clean, a really nice vibe, everyone working here is super nice and inviting. He made sure the tattoo was the color I wanted, the size I wanted and that the placement was perfect. a flaw some tattoo artist have is that they want to make the art their own and usually take it so far that it isn't what the customer wanted in the first place. I was incredibly impressed with the work done. I got my husbands initial and a previous tattoo touched up. The 'S' is flawless and the touch up looks better than the original. I had the pleasure of getting a cover-up piece done by Alex at Evol Ink while on vacation from Memphis. Like many people, I did a lot of googling and searching on Facebook for reviews and examples of the artists' work before deciding on Alex and Evol. The shop was very nice, as were all of the staff. They made me feel very welcomed and that my business was appreciated. Alex was very attentive to my ideas, and took a poorly executed, 15year old tattoo and turned it into a colo...rful, meaningful piece of art that reflects heavily on my values and beliefs. With very little notice, he crafted two matching yet custom tattoos for me and a friend who had completed aircrew training at NAS Pensacola, and were on our way to our respective commands. This was probably the best tattoo experience I've had since I started getting tattoo's. Me and my friend decided to get matching tattoos but had our own desires as to how they should look. Alex, our artist, took each of our concerns into consideration and crafted individual tattoos that we can both tell emulate one another. They are by no means a standard tattoo shop they are custom work they put a spin on everything they do. My wife and I went into the shop on 7-18-13. The tattoo she wanted was all from her head and was drawn exactly as pictured and came out just as well if not better. I also got a huge tattoo on my forearm with a lot of line work and shade work. I gave Daniel Howard two images of what I wanted and he drew in the 3rd from hand. once completed it looked amazing, we showed up around 5 pm and by the time both tats were drawn up and completed it had only been 4 hours of being in the shop. The artist I saw was there for only two months time. Between getting my tattoo and going back in for pictures two weeks later he was no longer working there and two people I had never seen before claimed to not know who he was. It kind of threw me into the Twilight Zone.The experience beforehand was great! I walked in to see some work, I talked with the girl who did scheduling and then spoke to Mitch, the guy who did my tattoo. They were both enthusiastic about the design and scheduled me for an appointment a few days later. When I got there for my appointment I was shown a sketch and absolutely loved it! Mitch did it all in one sitting, with a small break for dinner. The tattoo turned out wonderfully and I'm constantly getting compliments and others asking where I got it done, people I wouldn't have believed were actually interested in tattoos. It is by far, the best tattoo I've ever had done and the best experience I had up until the whole Twilight Zone thing. The price was more than reasonable, I think I actually got a steal of a deal. This wasn't my first tattoo and I know they can be pricey. The only reason they're not getting five stars from me is simply because each artist has their own style and I can only vouch for the one I saw. Read Less
