I've been talking about getting my 18 year old tattoo re-done for YEARS in a way that honored my mother who passed from colon cancer and while on vacation from Arizona my girlfriend made it her mission to make it happen before I went home. I was looking for a shop that I could trust to put something on my body for a lifetime. I cannot be happier that I made the right choice with Thirty Six Black. First, let me share my experiences with some of the shops from where I live over an hour away in Lake County. First I went into one where I was ignored for 20 minutes where the artists were standing around, before I left. Then I went into a different one and had an artist tell me they were booked for a while and to just send me the work I wanted and my schedule on FB, two weeks and they never got back with me. Keep in mind, these are the same shops that post little flowers, and other crudely drawn tattoos on their websites, which they are some reason proud of. In my experience NOTHING comes close to the quality of Thirty Six Black. When you first walk in you're greeted by the amazing atmosphere and artwork on the walls, unlike any shop you've ever been to. Then, it's kind of unfair, because you're helped so quickly by the staff that you can't even enjoy it! The next thing you know you're already in the chair getting a masterpiece completed because the artists can free hand like gods and/or replicate anything you could ever want with perfect accuracy. Honestly, the worst thing about this shop is probably how hard it's going to be to get an appointment, once celebrities find out about it. My husband and I decided to be spontaneous and get tattoos. We picked this place after seeing their Instagram page. I loved the shop. All the artwork on the walls and the furniture immediately got my attention; I was in awe. We spoke to a couple of different people while there and everyone was very nice, friendly, personable, and excited to be there. JB did my husbands tattoo and he was so happy with JB's lettering. Zeke did my tattoo and he was great! I was very nervous as this was my first detailed tattoo. Zeke did a great job at holding conversation and it helped keep me distracted and calm my nerves. I also liked that he explained everything to me. He let me know what he was doing and why he was doing it and how it will effect the tattoo at the end. Overall, our experience was positive. I was planning to take my brother to get our first tattoos on his 28th birthday. Since it's our first ones I wanted to make sure that it was done properly, especially because both of our tattoos were going to represent our father who recently passed away. I looked on Yelp and was very impressed with what everyone said in their reviews so I called up to book an appointment. From the first call Michelle was very friendly and inviting. We booked our appointment and when we arrived we were very happy once we entered. The place looks amazing with all of the cool art inside and it's very clean. Johnny and Janelle were amazing!!! They were super cool and friendly and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The tattoos came out better than we expected and we are so happy with them! They are perfect! From the moment I had my consolation with Janelle I knew my tattoo experience would be a great one! She was so full of energy and seemed excited about my choice of design, made me excited! This is my first tattoo from a female artist and I was stoked about that, GIRL POWER!!! I am truly in love with the final outcome! This is by far the best tattoo place in Orlando, if not the best one in Florida. Rick kamla is personally my favorite, currently all 7 of my tattoos have been done by him and I LOVE every single one. He really works magic when he tattoos. Everyone else in the shop is fantastic as well, and I would recommend any artist here. They all make me feel super welcomed and comfortable every time I come. Where to start with this place. The second you walk in you are surrounded by art inside of an extremely cool atmosphere. Every artist here is extremely kind and takes an interest in your tattoo. I personally was tattooed by Johnny. Instead of just taking the image I had printed it out and throwing it on my skin he showed me what would work better in regards to the style and location on my body. He is highly skilled artistically and came out with a concept that I couldn’t have been more happy with. The actual tattoo process was great. 1st he put on TV so that there was some level of distraction then he went ahead and began the process and walked me through the parts that would be more painful so that I could be mentally prepared. As we were tattooing the other artists came in periodically to look at the work, again showing interest.the finished product was easily the best tattoo I have ever gotten and I’m only sad that I didn’t discover this place sooner so that I would have more room on my body for them to work with. Pricing is very fair. Instead of chiseling in a time during an artist’s day, they offer half day and full day sessions so you never feel rushed and the artist has time to Really focus on your work. Out visiting Orlando from California  wanted too get some ink so I yelped Tattoo shops Thank God I found this shop because it was the best tattoo experience. I had to call a few times because I was lost but they were so helpful and nice!  when I walk in it was like "WOW" place was so artsy and beautiful. Never seen a shop look that dope!!!! Meet the owners of the shop and they were so down to earth. I got inked by the Beautiful wifey  she made my experience awesome. There's no way to prepare for how awesome this place is. Take deep breaths, count to three, do whatever you have to do but it will never be enough to prevent your mind from being blown out the back of your skull when you walk in. Don't pick it up off the floor right away though because there are plenty of oddities, original shirts, and artwork to see around the gallery and studio. Oh, and do you know who tattoos there? Talent!! My friends and I drove over from Tampa to visit Pulse nightclub and lay flowers for the anniversary. Thirty six black was doing Pulse tats to benefit the One Pulse Foundation, so we decided to stop in and get one. It is across the street from Pulse. I was impressed walking in.. awesome, clean space with a great feel. Great art on the walls..super nice and welcoming artists/owners. I had the chance to see some of Johnny's work and I have never seen such detailed and beautiful work. Since I will be getting a sleeve and a cover up on my back, I will be driving over from Tampa to thirty six to have them done!
