After binging on Pinterest in my search for the perfect tattoo, placement/size etc. I finally decided on a minimalist small script tattoo. Next came another decision of choosing the right artist (which took another couple of months because I'm extremely picky).   Which was a hunt of its own!! I finally found Phil Morgan at RLMG and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!  I had to wait for my appointment for a few weeks but he wait was totally worth it and having to wait just shows you how sought out his artistic services are!!!! Phil has a great eye for design in every way (design of the tattoo, placement, sizing, basically making sure your tattoo fits with your body perfectly). He also made the experience of getting my first tattoo a blast. He is very easy going, funny and makes you feel comfortable.  I would describe the whole experience as having "boutique" feel (versus a factory or chain, if that makes sense). The day before my appointment I started to get cold feet and asked if I could just come in to speak with him about my tattoo  and placement. He applied absolutely no pressure and told me to just come in so that we can discuss any questions that I have and then I could make my decision to get one or not. By the time I met him, I knew right away that I was getting my tattoo. He answered all of my questions and I was instantly comfortable. This was my first tattoo and I was terrified to get it in my rib. To my absolute dismay (and I think partially to Phil's), I felt no pain!  Phil was gentle and has a light hand. It literally felt as if he was just sketching on my skin with a pen.  I wanted to write this review not only because Phil was awesome and made the whole experience so very comfortable and stress free but because when I started the process of looking for someone in Orlando who can do the perfect delicate minimalist script tattoo, I could not find anyone specific!! My google search actually led me to another tattoo shop website, but their works PAILED in comparison to Phil's. Now don't be misled, Phil does amazing larger scale intricate work (not just the tiny minimalist work I was hunting for), just look at his portfolio.   But I wanted to write this review to help anyone who is looking for an artist who can do a delicate minimalist tattoo (or a large scale gorgeous art).  Phil is your to guy!Thanks again Phil!! Phil was awesome and very creative with the tattoo concept I gave him. Throughout the process he always made sure I was comfortable and cracking jokes along the way making the experience fun and pleasant. What a great experience! A perfect experience.I think it's safe to say that most people have a certain assumption regarding tattoo shops; that is to say that most would picture them to be dark, grungy and located on the wrong side of town. Most would imagine a tattoo artist to be some rude guy that reeks of liquor and/or other unpleasant scents. Well, do you know who happens to be the complete opposite of that stereotype? Phil. Not just by a bit, but he and his tattoo shop are the exact opposite of what most would expect.Located in Thornton Park, Phil's amazing work has transformed a two-story house into the best tattoo shop you'll ever see. Now this isn't the type of shop that is filled with binders and binders of overly used tattoos that are found on way too many people, he has his actual artwork and awards scattered through the shop. It'd be worth going simply to see his work, but once you're there you'll have a hard time not setting up an appointment for a consultation because his work is great.After two consultations, Phil and I were on the same page and eager to turn my 'crazy/odd/funny/you name it' dream into a reality. He is extremely helpful, highly informative, personable, very down to earth and most importantly highly skilled. Whether you're looking for a traditional type of piece or something that has never been seen before, Phil has the ability to make it happen and make it look amazing. My mom passed away in 2013, and I had the idea that I wanted to do a tattoo in her memory. Initially, I had thought about just the word ‘Mom’ in a nice font, but after meeting Phil, he gave me an option of copying some of her writing, like the way she signed a card. It was perfect, and I loved the idea. I’d never had a tattoo done before, though, so I was a little concerned. I met with him for a consultation and was instantly impressed with his location. (Before meeting him, ...I’d been very hesitant to even go near the typical sorts of places because they made me uncomfortable and nervous.) Not Phil or his place, though. I was immediately at ease. And when I went back for the tattoo, he completely humored me with using a little water in the machine before the ink so I could see what it would feel like (because needles are not usually my friends). Phil did a FANTASTIC job on my script! My mom writes in calligraphy and he suggested she write something out and send it. I did just that and he was able to flawlessly copy that script right onto my arm. I absolutely love it! Him and his wife run a beautiful and very clean shop in Thorton Park. I saw phils work on instagram and that was it. When i heard that he was relocating to orlando...had to get work from him. Super talented guy. Easy going and a vet. So needless to say never a dull moment during our sessions. Second session now done. 12 hours of work into my arm and its looking amazing... highly recommend phil. His talent and skill is top notch. I just recently got my first tattoo from Phil. It was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend him. I was very nervous about my first tattoo but I am also a crazy perfectionist. I was afraid of the pain and needles and I was also constantly obsessing about every detail about my tattoo idea and I wanted updates from him all the time. So let’s just sum it up and say I was a bit of a pain in the ass. But he was amazing. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process and blew me away with his talent.
