Oscar and Lisa run a Class A shop. Lisa was very friendly and helpful in setting up my consultation and first appointment. She made sure to offer water on more than one occasion while in the shop. Oscar is a true artist. I had a concept of what I wanted and he was able to offer input into what would look best and work with what I already had. During the tattoo he checked to make sure I was doing ok throughout and communicated well with what he needed from me in terms of positioning my arm. I booked an appointment with Lisa, who specializes in permanent makeup, for eyebrow microblading. My eyebrows were always naturally sparse and drawing them on gets old quickly.  I cannot emphasize enough how thrilled I am with the results. Lisa took her time to explain everything to me during the consultation and then again as we were going through the process. Her attention to detail is second to none and the end result is more natural than I had even hoped for. She asked me what my thoughts were on shape, color etc.  and then made very educated, skillful suggestions based on my bone structure, skin tone, etc. She provided thorough instructions on after care and we booked my 4 week follow up before I left. She even provided me with guidelines on how the brows would be changing during the next several weeks as they heal so I would know what to expect. The artist are truly dedicated to the work they do and it shows in every aspect of the shop. It had been roughly 17 years since I last got inked and I wanted to make sure that if I was going to do it again, it had to be done in a place where art was the headliner, customer service the theme, and fun the attitude. I researched roughly 15 places before settling with OG Tattoos and I could not be happier I did. My artist was Skye, an amazing artist with a very professional yet calming demeanor, she made the entire experience so amazing. The attention Skye took to make my piece unique and personal was above and beyond anything I had expected. My tattoo was a custom piece in black and gray in the realistic style of subject matter that is not only not common in tattoos, but also holds a ton of significance behind every element, it had to be right or it would be completely ruined. Skye took time to listen to the details I wanted, the placement of objects, worked with me to get the perfect reference material, and then used her artistic genius to mesh it all together to render an idea in my head into a true art piece. I will be getting more work done in the near future and OG Tattoos and Skye will be the place I entrust to make the art in my head a reality. During my Research of other Tattoo shops here is a list of why they didn't match up to OG Tattoos: - Many of these rank in the top 15 if you do a search on the web for Orlando. - First Interaction: o In many of the shops it felt intimidating just walking through the door, due to not having a ton of tattoos and none visible. I often felt as though the one greeting customers just didn't have time for new customers, often not even acknowledging I was present until I said something. - Cleanliness: o This was a major concern of mine just for health reasons. My bottom basis was Poor Detail to Shop Cleanliness = Poor Detail to The Work Being Done. Since I am not into piercings it only made sense to find a place solely dedicated to tattooing. Also the location had to reflect what the primary focus of those working there is, and that to me was the art. This was my first time coming to OG Tattoos & Gallery and I must say they rock! The people are friendly and our tattoo artist Oscar did an awesome job with my sister and I tattoo. Oscar at OG did my last tattoo, which is also my biggest piece of art to date. I cannot speak highly enough of him, and of the entire experience as a whole. He was accommodating, regardless of both of our schedules being demanding and hectic. He worked fervently and tirelessly, as well as meticulously to finish the piece, and provided lively conversation when it was needed, and silence when so desired. He is one of the few artists I have ever met who has the necessary intuition to do so. The piece is amazing and shows, in my opinion, the highest level of artistry of a mature artist. Every year for the past 4 years I have come down to Florida for work and end up getting a tattoo. This was my first time at OG Tattoos and I can tell you it is the only shop that I will get my tattoos at in the future. The staff is friendly and have great personalities; they genuinely care about the customer and what they do. I was lucky enough to be tatted by Eric Steen, an absolute magician with lines and a true art fanatic down to the core. I couldn't be more happy with my Fibonacci Sequence tattoo; it is easily my favorite piece I've gotten thus far. After completing our first marathon, my friends and I decided we wanted tattoos to commemorate the occasion. I selected a tattoo place like most normal  people do... based on Yelp reviews (duh!) ;)I called OG Tattoos to book an appointment and Eric was able to fit all 3 of us in on the date I wanted. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised with the facility. It was clean and nothing like a divey tattoo joint that most people are used to. I have been following OG Tattoos on FB for awhile.  I happened to have the day off and decided to drive over to see if they had any openings that day.  I was greeted by Lisa upstairs.  What do you know, I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Oscar, later that afternoon.   I was able to work with Oscar on the design of the tattoo, and the result was amazing.  Everything in his room was so clean.  Showed me all the needles in the packages and prepared everything else.  I have to say I was beyond satisfied with the tattoo.  I know I cried when I first saw it. They explained the aftercare instructions and also had them printed out for me.Thank you,  Oscar,  for this beautiful reminder of my mother, siblings and daughter.   I will definitely be back for another!! This post is not in regards to the work but in regards to the attitude of the person that greeted us or I should say lack of greeting. I know tattoo artists can be alittle rough around the edges . My friend and I walked in last night 2 1/2 hours before the salon closed . When we walked up the steps a man was standing there and said " are you with them" . No hello how may I help you . Which in my opinion is very rude. We told him that we were looking to get tattoos. He then told us that they we not taking any more tonight but yet only one person was getting tattoo. We were in the area and decided to get a tattoo. With only having 24hrs before we had to catch our flight we were so blessed to get Eric as our tattoo artist. When we got there Eric took time to listen to our ideas and thoughts. He definately had a challenge in front of him but as a true artist would Eric took our ideas by the horns and made them come alive. Again let me remind you.....were talking 24 hrs.....Eric stayed past shop times to fit is in. The end result was better then expected!!!! We loved his work. Friend & I did a walk in late at night & they told us they usually don't take walks in past 7 but they were willing to help us out. They were extremely nice and patient with us. Skye did my wave tattoo & my friend's cat was done by Eric. Skye added a white line along with dots which was a cute surprise when I got home and I absolutely love it. Arranged ahead of time for my 17-year-old to get his first tattoo with Oscar while we were there on vacation last week. We were greeted, brought upstairs, my younger kids were welcomed, engaged and tolerated in the waiting area, and Joey got two tattoos that I have to say are gorgeous. Oscar is friendly, talkative and super professional. The staff I saw there this day were a refreshing change from the brooding hardcore tough guys that have done my ink. Exceptional service and workmanship. I went in for my first tattoo and was very nervous. I was immediately greeted by a staff member who offered me something to drink and confirmed my appointment time. I didn't have to wait long before Oscar was ready for me. He was very calm and professional the entire time. The best thing I noticed was how clean the place is! Everything is sanitized thoroughly and completely spotless. Oscar explained every step and made sure I was completely comfortable the entire time. Oscar used a light, gentle hand and made sure I had some time to rest during the tattooing process. He asked how I was doing and checked in on me. He was honest about how long it would take and communicated everything he was doing. The final result looks amazing, it bled very little and didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would. I would and plan to recommend this location to anyone who asks. WOW! LET ME START OFF BY SAYING THAT I'M NOT "THE TATTOO BILLBOARD". I LOST MY DOG OF 14 YEARS AND WANTED A PORTRAIT OF HIM ON MY SHOULDER. I LOOKED ONLINE AND SEARCHED FOR A TATTOO GALLERY THAT DEMONSTRATED TO ME THAT THEY HAVE THE ABILITY TO DO MY TATTOO VERY WELL. I FOUND OG TATTOO IN ORLANDO, FL. THE ARTIST (AND I MEAN THIS IN THE TRUEST SENSE) SKYE, HAD A TATTOO OF A DOG ON HER GALLERY THAT WAS DONE ON A WOMAN'S HAND. I THOUGHT OK, I WILL WRITE TO HER AS I WAS OUT OF THE COUNTRY AT THE TIME AND SHE HAD THE ABILITY TO DO THIS TATTOO WELL. SHE WROTE BACK TO ME AND WE SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMRENT FOR THE DAY AFTER I ARRIVED. WHEN I WENT TO THE TATTOO ESTABLISHMENT EXPECTING A GRUNGY ATMOSPHERE AND HUNDREDS OF FLIP CHARTS, I WAS GREATLY SURPRISED TO SEE NEITHER OF THOSE THINGS. INSTEAD, I FOUND AN ART GALLERY, WELCOMING ATMOSPHERE, AND FRIENDLY PEOPLE. THE STUDIO WAS VERY CLEAN, AND THE ARTISTS WERE FANTASTIC. I CONSULTED WITH SKYE AND TALKED ABOUT THE TATTOO I IMAGINED AND PROVIDED HER A PHOTO SO SHE COULD START PLANNING FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY. WHEN I RETURNED THE NEXT DAY, SHE ALREADY HAD THE DRAWN BASE AND IN LOOKING AT IT, IT WAS EXACT! MY TATTOO IS MUCH LARGER THAN THE ONE I SEEN IN HER GALLERY AND IT WAS TO BE PPLACED ON MY SHOULDER. SHE BEGAN WORKING AND IN TALKING WITH HER, I ASKED WHY THE STUDIO HAS NO FLIP CHARTS, SHE RESPONDED "WE DO ALL ORIGINAL ART BASED ON EACH PERSONS DESIRE". WHILE SKYE (AND THE OTHER ARTISTS) CAN DO SIMPLE DESIGNS FROM BOOKS OR MAGAZINES, THEY PREFER TO TALK WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS TO MAKE SURE THEY TATTOO ONLY THE DESIRED IMAGE. DURING MY TIME IN THE CHAIR, A GENTELMAN HAD A TATTOO FROM ONE OF THE OTHER ARTISTS. IT WAS OF A LOCK (WOULDNT BE MY FIRST CHOICE) BUT IT WAS PERFECT. THE DEPTH AND DIMENSION MADE IT APPEAR THAT IT WAS THREE DIMENSIONAL. MY WIFE ACCOMPANIED ME AND SEEING THIS TATTOO INSPIRED MY WIFE TO HAVE A SMALL TATTOO ALSO. THEY TATTOO'ED HER AND IT WAS FANTASTIC! THEY CAPTURED THE SAME THREE-DIMENSIONAL APPEARANCE. MY TATTOO TOK ABOUT 4-1/2 HOURS INCLUDING A COUPLE BREAKS AND IS PHENOMIONAL! SKYE CAPTURED THE EXACCT IMAGE OF MY BUDDY. SHE WORKED FROM THE PHOTO SHE PRINTED AND USED AN IPAD TO ZOOM IN ON EVERY DETAIL. WHEN I LOOK AT THE TATTOO, IT IS UNMISTAKINGLY MY LITTLE GUY.I WILL BE GOING BACCK AGAIN AND WILL ONLY USE SKYE AT OG TATTOOS. SHE PROMISED TO PUT MY TATTOO ONLINE BUT I HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET.
