My sisters and I got these matching tattoos 2 years ago and have had nothing but issues. They are expensive and you clearly don't get what you pay for. They wanted to hurry us so they made the stencil of what we wanted but we all ended up with different artists and a big variance. I expected that to a degree but the sister in the middle got the best version. The other two blew out. What I am most irritated about was that the leaves were supposed to be green but they pressured us to do the whole thing in black. Now instead of 3 birds on a branch they look like 5 blobs. Talk about customer service...I was showing one of the girl workers there a picture of a tattoo I wanted. Some blonde worker decides to jump in with her nasty attitude. She kept telling me that what I was showing them wasn't a tattoo. I couldn't figure out what she was talking about. I was showing them a tattoo that was on someone. She tried to convince me that it wasn't an actual tattoo. Then she told me it was impossible to do a tattoo so small (I kept telling her that I wanted it about 5/6 inches). My experience getting a tattoo here was awesome! I walked into the shop while on vacation already knowing which artist I wanted to book with. The staff was friendly and helpful helping me with placement of the tattoo and they also worked with me on getting the size and style I wanted within my budget. On the day of my appointment, I was immediately greeted by a shop employee and started paperwork immediately. The system they use is quick and easy. When I got into the room with my artist, Cortni West, she was just the best! She made sure I was comfortable and asked what kind of music I liked and put it on a music video station on the tv right in front of the tattoo chair. During the tattoo Cortni was so sweet and kind! Her laid back energy was contagious! My friend that was sitting in the room with me said it was so cool watching her tattoo because it looked liked she was painting. In May 2018, I put down a $300 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit for a friend and I to get tattoos. I have seven, and one of the was from Hart and Huntington six years prior. I wanted two words made dainty and small on my foot. I just went for my appointment in Feb 2019. The artist INSISTED that if I didn't make the words larger, they would bleed together. We went back and forth on it, and I finally agreed. First, I was required in the paper work to buy their soap and lotion. A tiny pump and two tiny packets of lotion for $23.00. I brushed it off, because I figured my $300.00 deposit would cover this. After I signed my life away, BEFORE my tattoo, I was charged an additional 167.00. You are looking at a 467.00 tattoo. I was furious. If I said no, they said I would lose my $300.00 deposit. So I was freaking robbed. I would give it 1 star, but I like my work, even if it's as large as MY ARTIST wanted it. Read Less

We were more than happy with our tattoos!! We gave them a budget and they worked with us to meet our budget. My mom did a shoulder cover up and I did a lotus chest tattoo. Pierre and Diggy did our tattoos. They took the time to really draw it out to make sure they were perfect. My regular artist moved to another shop, so I decided to get my next tattoo with Mark Fernandez because I loved what I saw when I reviewed photos of his past work. Shockingly Poor Quality.This place looks clean and professional and the artists seem to know what they're talking about. But apparently none of that translates into the quality of the tattoos.My wife and I both got inked here, and both of our work is riddled with amateur's mistakes:- Not coloring completely inside the lines- Coloring outside the lines- Not flushing the needle/ink thoroughly between color changes- Not using enough ink to make the image opaqueOnce my artist was done, I voiced my concern that the amount of ink used was not sufficient. He went back and added more ink. I told him that it still looked too sparse - there were multiple sections that looked my my skin tone. The artist told me not to worry. The base of my tattoo was blue, and he had used white to create highlights. I was assured that the skin tone would actually heal over to reveal white ink. But it didn't. Now, instead of a blue tattoo with white highlights, I have a blue tattoo with skin tone highlights.Afterward, It took some persistent messaging to get a proper response back. Even then, all they would offer is a free touch up, and a random spattering of excuses. Wouldn't even refund the tip.If all you're worried about is getting a free touch up later, this is the place for you.If you want a place that talks big but doesn't have the skill to follow through with it, this is the place for you.If you want a studio whose artists will continue making mistakes while you are actively pointing out what they're doing wrong, this is the place for you. I have been to Hart and Huntington twice and could not have been more happy with the results of my tattoos. The first time I went was for my Jurassic Park tattoo. I am a huge Jurassic Park fan (which the rest of my posts have probably made that clear) and I have always wanted a Jurassic Park tattoo since I was a kid. I decided to do it and will say I did a lot of research into locations for a tattoo. I visited a few places, but the thing I liked most about this location was the friendly staff, the quality of the artist and the cleanliness. I knew what kind of tattoo I wanted but could not really come up with an idea on my own. I was introduced to an artist named Isaac who helped me walk through my ideas. I decided on doing the logo in all black and with out the title of the movie. I made the appointment and returned by myself. I am not the biggest fan of needles but want tattoos, yes I know what I just wrote. Isaac did a great job on the tattoo, the attention to detail from the dinosaurs ribs to teeth are phenomenal. While I was all by myself getting the tattoo, Isaac was great at paying attention to the detail and at the same time holding a conversation with me. I was very satisfied and excited about the Jurassic Park tattoo. The second experience I had at Hart and Huntington had a deeper meaning for me. I am born and raised from Philadelphia, PA and a huge Eagles fan. After the Eagles won the Superbowl, I not only wanted a tattoo to celebrate the win, but I wanted the tattoo to honor my dad. I did not have to think about where to go, I knew I wanted to go to Hart and Huntington and wanted Isaac to do the tattoo. I went ahead of time when Isaac was working to discuss my idea and the location of the tattoo. I decided on the Eagles logo with 'Dad' underneath. When I came back to the shop a few days later to get the tattoo done, I had extra words 'We did it' written above the logo. The tattoo would say 'We did it Dad' with the Eagles logo in the middle. Isaac was awesome, and was able to make the adjustment. I went into more detail and wanted the font of 'Dad' to resemble the Eagles 1970's font. The tattoo itself took about an hour. What I really like about Isaac, is the attention to detail he pays attention to on the tattoos. During the process Isaac again held a conversation with me. I could not have asked for a better tattoo and I am very satisfied with my decision to have the tattoos done at Hart and Huntington and by Isaac. The staff at the shop is very friendly and, as I said already, very clean. I would like to get future tattoos and I will definitely be going to Hart and Huntington for them. I got my first tattoo here about a month ago, and I don’t think I could have asked for a better experience! I went in the first night of my trip for a consultation, and Zack was incredibly helpful and fun; despite being nervous, I went ahead and put down my deposit (the shop does have a $150 minimum). I came back a couple of days later, still super nervous, but as soon as my session with Ryan began, I was incredibly comfortable. Not only is Ryan incredibly talented, but he is a genuinely nice person and responsible artist, as he does everything to ensure that your experience is positive and makes sure that you properly understand the process and the aftercare. He also contributed great conversation throughout the entire session (including making fun of me for saying “perfect” too many times, haha). I highly recommend Ryan to anyone looking to get a tattoo, especially first-timers. While the shop is more on the expensive side, the experience and quality provided by this H&H location is well worth the investment. Read Less

Had a blast getting my 1st tattoo by Mark Fernandez. He patiently assisted me with my design. Being a nurse I was impressed with his knowledge of wound healing & after care. I have to say my opinion has greatly changed, as the Store Manager,  Todd Parker, reached out to my personally to understand more about the issue. He was very gracious and understood my concern and offered to resolve it. I have to say in a world based on reviews, he is one of the few to reach out and to me to listen to my issue and resolve it. My wife and I got a tattoos here a few weeks ago while in Orlando for vacation - interesting experience:The store is nice and clean, and staff is relatively friendly. My wife's appointment was at 12:30p, and her design was simple (although it took her artist a few attempts to get it right after trying to severely over-simplify the design she provided). The drawing and tattoo were done by 1:45p, and it (somehow) cost her $400 (NOT including the $150 deposit).My turn: my appointment was at 2:30p, with our flight out of Orlando at 11:15p - plenty of time. My artist showed up around 2:45p, drew until 3:30p, and the tattoo (estimated at "2-3 hours, max") took SIX HOURS. I'm not sure how they got the estimate so wrong (even after drawing the design), but I ended up having to send my wife back to the resort for our bags, and I had to Uber straight from CityWalk to the airport without even having time for dinner. The tattoo itself is fine - something I could have easily gotten from near home without all the stress/rushing (and, likely, for around 1/2 the price).The place is in Universal's CityWalk, so obviously a tourist trap - sky high prices, artists are okay, but clearly rushed and over-booked, and it seems like you're just being pumped through as quickly as possible, since they know no one is going back for a 2nd tattoo from H&H. They also make you pay before getting the tattoo - also extremely shady, which I've never experienced before.It's likely decent for a quick small/flash tattoo or something they have pre-designed, I guess. Great shop! Very clean. Great retail selection but let's be real I went for the reputation and artists ability. All artists were very professional. More than I've seen in any other shop. All were friendly and made me feel at home with great conversation. As talented as these guys and gals are there at no "Pre-madonna's" or "Diva's". Many artists act like they own the world and you should be worshipping them when you walk in even though they're work may be mediocre and your about to pay them hundreds or even thousands of $$$ for a service! You don't get that at this shop. High quality work from Isaac Bills and great conversation. This is a first rate shop. We had a great experience here. We got tattooed by Stephanie James (she has a recurring guest spot tattooing here) after we looked at her work online. She was so sweet and made us feel comfortable. The prices weren't crazy ... we got matching tattoos. My friend's tattoo is bigger than mine because his arm is bigger. His was $250 and mine was $200 (black outline only, no shading). What can I say about Hart and Huntington. Well people I can tell you this shop is not like any other. When you walk in you feel like everyone actually cares about what they do. The staff that help us get book in are so fun and friendly the have help me get my wife in online, got her quoted and booked with ease so when we walk in on the appointment day we could get started. We also have walked in on a sat we came down on a visit but even though they where so busy they still got us in, even after they had closed! The Managers have both been super helpful with us when we had to move our appointment time, and the artist are top notch. No attitudes here, this is why we keep coming back! Couldn't recommend it enough. First time getting a tattoo and I opted for H&H largely because of their reputation and they have such a good website and friendly buzz (but of pun fun) about the shop. Woman on the desk was so helpful in giving me a quote and answering any initial concerns I had. Met Dave Sedano who tattoos there a few times a month I believe- he listened to my rough ideas and went off and drew something beautiful. He was so patient and great at his job. Pain wasn't too bad until the very end (3 1/2- 4 hour sitting) and Dave was gentle and efficient. All the other tattooist and staff created a great atmosphere. Let me first and foremost say I am thrilled with the tattoo I received. I was tattoo'd by Russell Van Schaick he did an amazing job from beginning to end. I went in there with a really vague idea of what I wanted (cherry blossoms and water) and he, on the spot, designed a rough draft that was exactly what I was hoping for. He nailed it, it's super vibrant and elegant and it was really the best (first time!) tattoo experience I could have.I'm a designer myself and have always been rather apprehensive about getting a tattoo. Hart and Huntington is located in Universal City Walk along the big stairs from Element to the top of the food court near the AMC theater.My brother in law was getting some art done on his arm at Hart and Huntington after they were visiting Universal Studios and we went to meet them there for dinner.  After I went to Element to check out their Stance stock on both socks and underwear I noticed that Hart and Huntington also had a selection of Stance wear.  I ended up getting stuff here too as they had some items that Element didn't have.  Along with the Stance stuff they had a variety of other clothing as well.While I wasn't interested in a tattoo they do have other things besides that which worked out because I had no idea they had more than just being a tattoo parlor. My wife and I were spending our wedding anniversary around Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida and decided to get matching tattoos.  Simple wrist tattoo's, heart beat with music notes on the sides.  While we showed one of the "artist" the tattoo we wanted another female "artist" under her breathe says, we don't do under $150.00 so when I asked her what she had said, her response was "nothing".  Wow your business thrives and stands on tourist money.....I mean your located in one of the most famous tourist attractions in Florida with that kind of attitude? No wonder the place wasn't packed.  There prices.....wow!  For the simple all black tattoo my wife and I wanted on our wrist which wasn't going to surround our entire wrist, only on one side $300 per!  $600.00 dollars for 2 simple wrist tattoos?!  I'm from NYC and I know 3 things when I encounter it,  Attitude, Sarcasm, and the definition of expensive, and that place had alllll 3.  With that price I can get  Tattoo's with my wife and have left over for a dinner and maybe a movie when done in another place.  I understand you get what you've paid for, but that was ridiculous.  I wasn't the only 1 who thought so.  As my wife and I walked out the store,  a few more people walked out the store complaining about the prices.  Beware if you go into the store.   If you have thousands of dollars to blow off because you have nothing better else to do with it, then kudos....if not stay away because you will get pocket raped.  P.S I've uploaded the "$600.00" wrist tattoo pic we wanted and you tell me if it's worth $600.00 Read Less

I had a wonderful experience here from the moment I called. The girls there that book the appointments and help customers are just outstanding. I had a pretty masculine trash polka skull on my thigh that I wanted to make more feminine. They were very prompt at getting back to me via e-mail and phone call. Naturally I was very nervous and not having a creative eye, Brit suggested a couple artists for me to look at (which I SO appreciated). Everyone here seems to be phenomenal,... however, I decided to go with Nate. Brit was very patient and understanding with me, she was just wonderful. Visited here with my boyfriend as part of our vacation, and I have no doubt that I'll come back to Florida solely on the basis of returning for another tattoo! I was really nervous as it was my first larger/coloured tattoo but I could not be happier with it! The lines, colour, sizing and placement are all spot on and even though I made a fuss about getting tattooed before my boyfriend as I was nervous (even though his was already being drawn up first) I was fully accommodated... and made to feel totally at ease. I never went because I had limited time here on vacation like literally everyone else. I messaged them 5 days ago asking a question. Their message response time says "typically responds within a few hours" that's FINE, if they actually responded. That needs to be changed. Had they responded AT ALL to my message regardless of the answer I probably would have actually visited to be tattooed or buy merch or even just to gawk all touristy. It shows they have read my message, I got no response at all. For some people that might fly but I'm here out of state I'm not going to go waste my time checking out a place that can't even respond to Facebook messages when it says they typically respond AT ALL. *shrug* I don't have any comment about the quality of work or facility. I worked with Steve Oker to complete my sleeve where 50% was done by another artist in the shop - Russell Van Schiack, who is also a joy to work with! Steve worked meticulously to ensure that the style would flow and match my previous work and was an absolute joy to work with. The fastest 7.5 hours ever! Not only was the art he came up with everything I dreamed of and more, but he was fun to talk to, made sure I was comfortable and truly made for an enjoyable experience. I had sent Steve photos prior to our session of what I wanted the tattoo to look like and he blew my expectations out of the water! I am obsessed with my new piece! My wife and I walked in by chance while on our honeymoon. We had talked about getting matching tattoos and were able to agree on a concept idea while in the shop. We booked a time and paid our deposit and then came back later in the day to finalize the design and get inked! JC had drawn an amazing compass tattoo that we both loved on sight. Absolutely love this place. Everyone is so upbeat, outgoing, and friendly. I got my very first tattoo here yesterday and certainly not my last with Russell. Ugh I love everything about his work. Everyone is different on what they like and don't like and it's important to know what styles you like. I love everything about the abstract water color Russell does. It's like a permanent painting on your skin. I am in love with it, and I can't stop staring at it. He is amazing at what he does and I love his passion for it. We were on vacation and just stopped in to see what they had, after seeing Ryan's artwork we were glad we did! From the girls in the front to Ryan our tattooist everything was awesome! The shop is clean and the attention to detail and speed was great. Ryan really went above and beyond to accommodate what I could never imagine. I gave him a simple idea of a skull and Ryan turned it into one bad ass tattoo! His creativeness is out of this world. Ryan was very down to earth and easy going made the experience great. Didn't expect to get my ink in Orlando but happened to go to Universal Citywalk in Florida and saw H&H! Nice modern shop and very clean. Great staff! I just came in looking around and then asking questions about what to get. My original design I wanted would take longer and more funds. I wanted simple but they recommended not to add more as it's a small design. I respected their advise. To design a tattoo was free.I came back after thinking about the design and chatting with my husband. It took about an hour process as they had to design it first then create the template. Tattooing part only took about 30-45 min. Cortni was great and in her zone most of the time but I respect that since I wanted her to do a good job instead of chatting with me.I forgot about the pain and how itchy it can be once it heals. You sign an agreement that when you get a tattoo done by them, you agree to their vegan soap and lotion ($8). It's easy instructions, too. Their agreements are all on a tablet and will take about five minutes to look thru and sign. All in all, it was a great experience! I do recommend to make an appointment and come after 6p as parking at Universal Citywalk is free. I totally recommend this shop if you decide to have a piece done. Getting your first tattoo is absolutely terrifying. I should know because I just got my first one. I was skeptical at first of choosing a place on city walk that's essentially part of the theme parks, but it turned out tremendously. They let you choose your artist from a large collection of each artist's work. I went with Nate Needles. What a fantastic decision. He took my idea, pitched some ideas of his own, drew up a sketch, and we went with it. He was patient, understanding, and really creative with his approach. I thought I knew exactly what I wanted, but he came up with something similar but far better. It took about an hour and a half or so for it to be completed, but he made the whole process as comfortable as it could be. Yes, it hurt. Yes, it's not the most fun you'll have, but the end result was amazing. So good in fact that my wife and mother both decided to get tattoos from Nate as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know. For those debating your first tattoo, I say go for it! It was a decision I did not regret. Just make sure it's something good! Read Less

What an amazing group of people!! I am so satisfied with how my tattoo came out! It was done professionally but they made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Russell was my artist and I can't thank him enough for everything he did. He did beautifully and exceeded my expectations. He gave great ideas when I asked for them and made sure that I was completely happy with what I was getting. He took the time to really make sure to the finest detail that everything was in place. I wish I had read the reviews before going into this shop...I thought I would get the best work possible at this shop, wrong ! They told me it was my lucky day to get Ron as my tattoo artist, that was a joke, the guy at the counter stated they could not do the tattoo I wanted (that is simple and about the size of a dime) on my arm for less than $150.00,,,then Ron appears and stated he would need $200.00 to do the tattoo. I thought it would be perfect so I paid the $200.00 up front (required) This is a terrible tattoo ! I had a picture of exactly what I wanted and what I got looks nothing like the pic. Sad but true. It was suppose to be black with gray shading, I got dark blue with splotchy shading ! The lines are crooked, it was a simple tattoo that I wanted. I called to set an appointment for a touch up and he has no time available unless I can come in first thing. I guess so the other potential victims would not see the kind of work to expect, they needed to get me in as soon as they open. It took him 20 minutes to do the tattoo, how long could touch up take ?? This company is use to ripping off the tourists !!! Well guess what, I'm a local. Everyone that sees the tattoo tells me I got ripped off. I plan to go to Lizard lounge in Kissimmee , to get this fixed, their prices are very reasonable and they do quality work and THEY STAND BEHIND IT ! Steer clear of this rip off business. Read Less

Absolutely the BEST tattoo shop / parlor in Orlando or even the state of Florida. Hart & Huntington Orlando is by far the most professional group of individuals that I've ever dealt with in all my years of getting tattoos. These are not your typical cookie cutter artists, the guys working there are true artists that create custom pieces of art for your skin that will last your entire life. I had two complete hack jobs on my leg that had to be fixed. Several shops told me that there was no way whatsoever that a coverup could be done. When I asked the guys at H&H they were ready for the challenge. Since then I've had another piece on my arm done (black & grey - amazing) and my wife had a script tattoo on her wrist that was done poorly…Jeremie Lafrance was able to retrace, put a drop shadow on it and literally make it 100% better than it ever was. I'm going back for another custom tattoo in late April and can't wait!There are a lot of shops in Orlando do choose from, but there is only one that I trust and that's Hart & Huntington. They are located in Universal City Walk (just FYI) and be sure to check out Jeremie Lafrance…..one of the best tattoo artists in the world. Absolutely amazing work! You'll even find Spike TV's Ink Master Finalist Jime Litwalk there and this guy is a legend in his own right. Totally top shelf operation. Don't make a mistake and go bargain shopping for a tattoo - H & H has good pricing, but the last thing you want to do is go looking for the lowest prices in town….tattoos are FOREVER! Read Less
