I went here about 2 weeks ago to get my navel piercing. They charged my card first before even piercing me, which was sketchy and I should have walked away. But because I really wanted to get this done, I paid and met with the piercer. He was an older male who was extremely rude. When i asked him would he be piercing me while standing or laying down, he yelled at me saying "let me do my job". At this point, I have already paid so I continued going with it. He did not explain anything to me or allow me to pick a jewelry piece i liked. Infact, he ended up piercing me with a captive bead ring, something I definitely did not want on my navel. When he was done, he gave me lubricant jelly and told me to put it on twice a day.The next day i noticed that the swelling had gone down, however, the piercing did not appear to be centered well. So I went back to the shop to ask for an alternative solution. Everyone in the shop said it was centered that it was my eyes that weren't. Mind you, I had already showed my piercing to my family and friend who did verify that it was not centered. When I said I am not happy with the centering, the piercer got upset and said to just remove the piercing if I wasn't satisfied. once again, his tone was rude and he did not care to hear my concerns. He said once it heals after taking it out, I could just come back for a free piercing. Why would I ever want to come back with this bad service?!?A few days later, I went to a different piercer who had good reviews. She was shocked that a captive bead ring was used as it was a 90s method. She explained the cons in terms of healing when using that type of jewelry, especially since it was already migrating. She did verify it was slightly off centered and that there is nothing she can do besides to remove it, let it heal and then re-pierce. I did not want that option, hence, got the jewelry changed to a regular belly ring. Since the piercer used a captive bead initially, he had gone too deep making regular jewelries not fit. OMG! What a horror story..first time nose piercing. The man barely spoke to me.. rushed me to hurry and pay. Finally brought me back & used a piece of plywood no clamp no regular normal practice like in other shops. Was SO ROUGH with my FACE!! He finally rammed it thru my nose...told me to use salt water n that's it..said I can change it in 1 week. 2 weeks later went to Doc of Rock Ocala (thank god for them!!) n they confirmed it was infected with a keloid on the inside n weird placement and angle. They NEVER educated me (which I found out they are supposed to do so verbally n in writing) about saline solution and so forth... honestly they shouldn't be piercing people especially naive newbies like myself. I'm so grateful the keloid is on the inside and that I went to another place for proper education on aftercare and present infection control before it was too late. My daughter went to this establishment twice, the first time was to get her tongue piercing done which went fine and she felt comfortable with going back to get her Monroe done on the other side of her face. Now she is 18 and should have spoken up at the time of the piercing about the fact that nothing was being opened in front of her. I personally would have said my peace and walked out but she is 18 and was excited to do something like this without needing a parent. They did not go over after care nor did they give any other instructions! Luckily she knew what to do from when she had the first one done when she was 16. She started having issues with the piercing and went by the shop and it was closed so she went to FatKats and had them look at it. To which she was told if it wasn't taken out soon she would have to go to the hospital, again she went to Xtreme and again they were closed but the owner was there. She tried to let him know what was going on and he brushed her off and told her to talk with the guy who pierced her!!! Very unprofessional!!! When she finally got to speak with the guy he was very rude and unprofessional so she took it to Facebook and the response she got was them trying to place all blame on her instead of handling a bad review correctly they chose to attack her. And I looked on the Better Business Bureau and they are not registered with them which is a little sketchy.
