Friendly and professional shop. Walking into the place I knew I had chosen the right studio based on the design and decoration. Very clean, very straight to the point and fairly laid back. My artist was Dave and he handled my odd request for a taco tattoo like a boss. Being a walk in customer with a custom request, I was super pleased to be in and out with my tattoo in under 2 hours. Went to tattookah, they screwed up my tattoo went to Dan loose at fat Kats and he happily offered to fix the mess up. Willing to go out of his way,to draw something up that will cover and fix there mess up. Awesome prices. Word.of advice.. waiting is worth it. So I was skeptical because of some of the reviews but they were honestly few, and there is always going to be criticism. I go in and staff immediately stops talking to engage me. I tell them where I want my tatto, show it to them and ask the price. It's a super simple tat so it was reasonably priced. They asked when I'd like an appointment and I said immediately(I had been wanting this tat for the past 4 years). Nick goes, "Well I can do it right now if you want, it won't take long!". I said yes, of course, that was so amazing of him. He sat me down and talked about the placement, and recommended changing the design a bit because he said he wanted it to heal nicely, not like a squished together mess. Some tattoo artists would give you what you ask for and not even give a crap, so I love that he worked with me to make sure it would come out great. While working on my tat, he'd tell me at what point of the tattoo he was working on.....I loved that! It was reassuring and very kind of him. I came in and asked to talk to an artist. Instead, he made me an appointment, which is fine. Two weeks later I show up (emailed him the concept art the day I made the appointment) and he canceled on me and rescheduled an appointment to get the tattoo I hadn't seen. Again he reschedules. Then I show up only to realize he told me Sunday of next week when he meant Saturday. I called and left a message and no one called me back. I put 60 bucks down. went to fat kats today and as soon as i walk in i see the body piercer sitting at the desk with his legs up playing a computer game. the guy was a total tool...i had asked a few questions and was given rude answers in response. no suprise! i will not be going back there again just because of him! I just had my first tat done yesterday and I could not have asked for better service. The staff was very professional and the Dan, my artist, was fantastic! They do nice work but way over rated and over charging. I but a deposit down for a tatt then i before i could get to my appointment date i ended up in emergency surgery. When i called them they said they wouldnt refund the money. I tryed to talk to the owner the clears wouldnt talk to me a told them i had prouf in paper of what happend. They said to bring it down there threating almost. I dont play i showed up like a good floridian just in case. The looked at my papers then desided to go back to refusing to return deposit. Pricks! Its only Petty cash so its not about the money. Its called bad business. No relationship with the customers. Just jack there price up and over rate themselves. Look, tattoo shops aren't supposed to be warm and fuzzy and serve you hot cocoa to make you feel welcome. Fat Kats is a clean shop with competent, experienced artists who will give you good advice if you listen. They're fair and very accommodating, and though he offered me no cocoa, Tim Fox was really helpful. He knows how ink interacts with skin and how it will age, and understands the art of tattoo placement on the body. I have had nothing but good experiences here, and have full faith in all the artists if you let them help you make the decisions you will have to live with your whole life. Read Less

I've had mixed experiences here.  First, I want to say the place is immaculately clean and the artists (except for Steve) are very pleasant and friendly.  The first piece I had done here was done by Ronnie.  He was pleasant, professional and nailed what I asked for.  The second piece I had done was by Steve.  Though professional, he was surly and anti-social and appeared as if he didn't want to be there.  Not something I want to experience.I did stay with a friend while she got a larger piece done by Tim, who was amazing and super friendly.  I would recommend him any day.  Overall I would recommend this shop to anyone.
