I came to know this place when my barber started working here. Even though it's not exactly on my way I don't mind driving here to continue getting my haircut from Aaron. Saying he is great would be an understatement, every time I get up from the chair I look and feel refreshed, he has great attention to detail and makes sure the cut is on point. Stopped in yesterday for a small tattoo for my birthday without an appointment. Alex Joelle helped me as soon as I walked in and offered to draw something up to make sure it would fit the spot I wanted. Within 5-10 minutes she had me fill out the paperwork and then she got to tattooing me. I absolutely love my new little piece :) cute design and nice clean lines! Cody always gave a clean detailed cut (especially this last skin fade) and even forward enough to point out and correctly cut my hair for my oddly shaped head, lol. I first had a beard trim when Cody worked at another location, and I loved my experience with him so much that I hunted him down to where he works now by contacting the owner of the previous place. I became that loyal from just that one experience. I've gone back to him a few times now and it's been excellent every time. I came into Calavera with a group of 7 people on a Sunday afternoon, all walk-ins. Tony was the only worker there, we were all absolutely blown away by the customer service he provided us. He made sure to work with all of us and make sure every single one of us got exactly what we wanted. He was extremely friendly, hospitable and respectful to all of us, even under pressure. The attention to detail he showed for each individual tattoo was remarkable and his tattoo work is a g...ift from God. This experience was more than everything I would expect from a tattoo shop. This isn't just any place to get something done, this is THE place to get tattoos. I would recommend to anybody to invest in the time to go see Tony because you won't be disappointed. 15/10 WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECCOMEND. Tony is down right incredible. I went this past Saturday to get a cover up tattoo. I was a little unsure of what I wanted at first but Tony was super patient and helpful. We decided to go with a black rose. Calavara Tattoo is one badass place to get a tattoo done. The walls are covered with tons of traditional tattoo artwork and has the look and feel of a professional shop. The main reason I choose this shop is because Esteban Dalpra started working there. I have been going to get my tattoos done by Esteban for the past 3 years. This came from the recommendation of my friend David aka Ahol local Miami artist. Starting with my first tattoo , a traditional Sailor Jerry, to honor my mom who passed away from ovarian cancer. I have since then gone back and had several tattoos done. Esteban is an artist that has talent that is hard to find. A tattoo is a permanent choice and only the best should be sought out.
