Chico's shop is always meticulously clean and organized, all his artists are top notch, incredibly creative, and very skilled. They all have portfolios to show, the majority of their work is original and unique, and they work with you in a timely manner. I got a beautiful eagle tattoo from Medz last night at the tattoo convention in Atlanta. He worked with me and was a truly amazing artist. He took his time and was very professional. This place gave me PTSD. Scheduled an appointment with a guy, I got there, the guy was working on another guy when I got there for my appointment, asked me to wait three hours. I didn't have three hours, we had confirmed the time slot for days, I even asked for a day off in my job to accommodate to this artist's schedule and he sucked at being serious. He passed me to a guy who ruined my arm forever. I didn't know he was an apprentice, I should've been told. I read on yelp this exact thing happened to somebody. I came here regardless. Do not get your piercing from this place. My most recent bad experience was when I got my nose pierced. The dude that did it used a regular sized cork screw stud instead of a longer one and after a day my piercing was sinking into my skin. The pain was unbearable for 3 days because it was so swollen and tight, then I finally decided to go to another place and remove it. They explained that the stud was the incorrect size! Before my nose piercing, I also pierced my belly button in this place and it got infected even after cleaning it every single day as instructed. I took it out, waited some time and got it re-pierced at another place then had no problems. They need to train their piercers better. Read Less

I had some work done at this location over the summer. My artist was Laz. I gave him the concept and he ran with it. A realistic sugar skull with traditional roses as the background. I couldn't be happier. He's an exceptional tattoo artist. I actually had the chance to see some of his works on canvas... He's just a dope artist in general. I had work done about 5-6 years ago, at this location (with hector). Loved it!!!! It was a medium-small size tat, paid about $70. Came back a few weeks ago, for something less than half the size of previous work, and was told $80 - cash only-. I understand that prices have increased since the last time I was there, but I feel that, that's a pretty huge increase. I found out hector is working at a different location, going to pass by there and see what's up. He does great work, will go with him, for sure! Read Less

Went to get my first tattoo today at Chicos Marked for life  (Tamiami Airport location) left with nothing but a sour taste in my mouth...The artist: GOOPMASSTA was a real nice guy and had the best intentions to give me exactly what I wanted.... The Service:Horrendous!!! Worst than a McDonalds at 3AM. The artist was still drawing a sketch of my tattoo and they (Some guy named Asaad and friends) were asking for me to pay because they wanted to close the register at 8PM on a Friday night. Their closing time is 10PM!! Maybe its cause I was a first timer and I don't know the routine, but who in their right mind would pay for a tattoo before the artist is even done sketching it???Left with nothing done, bitter, and feeling sorry for the artist helping me who lost his client because everyone else was unprofessional and in a hurry to go party.Bottom line: I absolutely DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. I Started Looking For a tattoo shop so i can get my first tattoo, in all honesty i didnt know where to start looking for one either. (I Hadn't Discovered Yelp At The Beginning of this Year Yet, would of helped a lot). My Manager actually refered me here, i wasnt convinced until he showed me the Huge Piece he has on his back. Thats when i decided to go take a look since they did a good job on his back Piece tattoo. So before i went i did my research online, and made sure they were trust worthy and made sure they use sterile Equipment and New Equipment that is required to Put ink on your skin. Once That was Checked i finally decided to pass By and started talking to one of the artist here and told him exactly what i wanted and what my ideas where. He Started showing me his portfolio and i was convinced to have my Tattoo Started. The Artist told me since it was short notice, it would take him 3-4 days to come up with a sketch, since he had other sketches for other clients to make.He Proceeded By calling me 2 days later, 2 days Earlier then anticipated. Told me to come in and take a Look at the Sketch, First sketch he drew was the Final One. It was Exactly everything i had in Mind, So Off he goes! BZZZZZZ ..... Oh S*t, this was my first Tattoo and it wasnt a small one either so i had a reason to be nervous. LOLOnce he touched me with the Needle, There was no way i was turning back. All honesty it hurt at first but i got use to it quickly, The Artist (Mark a.k.a. Big Boi) Was On top of me making sure i was ok, asking me if i wanted to drink water, asking me if i needed to go to the bathroom, and telling me to let him know when i want a break. Just making sure i was comfortable, it went on for about 2 months since i would get out of work late and he would only be able to get 4 hours in each session, and had to give it some time to heal to put color in so he can see exactly how it was coming out after the healing. After he was complete, i was just super happy i was done only thing is i wish he would of use a little more color on the fish. Well he offered me at the end if i wanted color i can go back at anytime .... I might just go today! .... I would put 5 stars if they would accept Credit Cards, But Besides all that ... The Staff is Super Friendly In Bird Rd. and Miller Drive. They Have a couple of location setup around in Miami.  In The Miller Shop they have A HUGE, BUT I MEAN HUGE Selections of Belly Button Rings For the Ladies. Same Goes for other jewlery Gauged Earrings, Tongue Piercings, Eyebrows ... You name it! Checked them out at either one of their 3 locations-Bird Rd.-West Kendall (Miller Drive)-Tamiami AirportSomeday I would Definetly Go back here for a piercing or Tattoo ...... I recently got my first tatoo at Chico's Marked For Life.  My husband and I were on our honeymoon and had decided to get tatoos.  We asked around Miami and found Chico's recommended by several people.  We walked in and were happily greeted in a professional manner.  Our tatoo artist personally designed our tatoo for us and modified it as we requested.  She was efficient, reasonably priced and thorough.  This was my first tatoo and she helped to keep me from getting nervous!  She's also done tatoos for celebrities and muscians... her portfolio is fully of a wide variety of tatoo styles.
