I have had 2 failed nostril piercings in the past due to inexperienced piercers and was super hesitant to try again even though I wanted one so badly! I hadn’t had the courage to do it again for 8 years before I moved to Melbourne recently and found Alternative Connection. I can’t say enough about this place! Lisa, the piercer and owner of the shop was beyond amazing... she listened to all my concerns and was friendly, open and honest with me about the whole process and I had SO many questions LOL. After speaking to a few different piercing shops in Melbourne, I finally got ahold of Lisa. Who was very helpful and comforting when it came to getting something a little "personal" pierced. She made me feel more excited and less worried about getting it done. She was gentle and very comforting through the whole experience! She's so funny too, she had my friends and I laughing. Also, this tattoo shop is the cleanest I've ever seen and I've been to a lot. She even sterilized my body jewelry for almost a half hour, made sure I ate before and was very caring. Came in with a gift certificate(no expiration) and treated us poorly because the money went to the old owner, she made sure we knew that. The staff is super friendly an knowledgable. I got a piercing with them today, and the lady who pierced totally helped me get through my nerves. I definitely will be getting more piercings from them in the future! I highly recommend them to anybody thinking of getting a piercing :) Read Less

I've lived here all my life and had used a few different piercing/tattoo places. I got my lip done by Stephanie. She is awesomely amazing! She and the whole staff had made me feel comfortable and right at home. To me that's the most important thing, you feel confident and comfortable getting any form of art done. Billy is mind blowing good for an artist that has been tattooing a couple years and he is extremely humble. Alley and Lisa are great piercers and really take the extra step to make you comfortable. Lisa is freaking amazing!! I first met her by going to the shop to get my tongue bar changed. She gave me such amazing advice and answered my questions.
