Licensed and approved by the State of Florida, Lou's Tattoos was established in 1975 and was the first tattoo studio in Florida. Now Lou's has four family owned studios, and employees almost 20 tattoo artists.

I was recently in Clearwater Beach and me and my friends wanted to get some piercings and Lou had many good reviews so I thought I would go there. When we got there Lou was very rude to us and rushed things very fast. After watching 2 of my friends get their belly buttons pierced I started to question if I wanted it since it looked very painful. He then yelled at me that he does not deal with “drama” and that I was going to get it done. He then rushed into clamping my stomach and then when my mom was holding my hand he yelled at her to move away and told me to stop holding her hand. The piercing took longer than usual and seemed as if he didn’t know what he was doing. Then after that my friend got her tragus pierced and he also did not seem like he knew what he was doing. Her ear started to bleed and he couldn’t get the needle through. When she cried because it hurt so much he didn’t stop or even care. After that he said that he “hates piercings”. I regret going here and would never recommend it to anyone.

I did a google & yelp search for a tattoo shop and found Lou's Tattoos right away. After asking around I found their shop to be Highly recommended especially David. Lou's Tattoos is extremely professional and clean. David, my artist was very patience and understanding as I explained my fears of my first tattoo. David designed my tattoo from our conversation and he was better than I had imagined.I have received so many compliments on my new tattoo. It's beautiful! Thank you David!! Can't wait to go back for my next tattoo. Overall they had great customer service! Gina.

Just no. Walk away. Not a straight line. Definitely not what was discussed or even on the stencil. Will cost more to get this tattoo even presentable than the actual tattoo cost.

This was my first tattoo and Lou was fantastic!! He's a nice guy, with years of experience and it really shows! I took my design in and he made it even better than what I imagined! Shop is very clean and all the tools were sterile. Whether it's your first tattoo or your 10th I would recommend Lou to anyone!!

He does wonderful, detailed work and I will keep coming to him to get all my future work done. His shop is very clean, and prices are very reasonable. Had to have my tattoo redone completely. All the outline was blurry and bleeding out. My reputable tattoo artist had to revise my original design in order to cover up Lou's mistakes. Two friends had the same tattoo done the same day. They're having to get theirs redone completely also. I'd give zero stars if possible. Do NOT go here!!!!

I live in Indiana. I have two tattoos and Lou is the only one who has done them. He is professional and his shop is very clean. He answers questions and will not steer you wrong. If he thinks something won't turn out right he advises accordingly. I so appreciate that because a tattoo is forever and I want it to look good forever. Lou's prices are good too. He has been in business for a long time and it shows in his work. I highly recommend Lou. :)
