Went in with a vague idea, Luis helped me out with details and sent me a text with a sketch a couple days before I sat in the chair. I had plenty of time to really look at my future tattoo with no pressure. Over all the guys in the shop seemed like a nice crowd and very easy to be around for a few hours. Luis threw on some Netflix for background noise but didn’t rely on it to occupy me; he provided good conversation which is always helpful in maintaining a relaxed state. In the end the lines are clean, the skin wasn’t overworked and Luis followed my request for simple and minimal but added just the right amount of artist flare to make those little details pop. I am very happy with the end result, the pricing was very fair, the guys were funny and nice, and the environment was relaxed. I paid $350 for an arm piece graffiti tattoo by an artist named Johnny. I paid the full amount up front and was told it would take two sessions. The outline came out great and his sketch was amazing. So upon contacting the shop to finish the tattoo I already paid in full for I was politely told not to come back to the shop by I think his name is Ryan Beaty or Beauty. I was confused so I contacted the original artist and he said that he was no longer employed by them. He also let me know that Ryan was paid and he was not. So I am now out $175 and completely disgusted with the lack of transparency pertaining to resolving this issue. I basically got robbed with a smile. I have also previously brought business to this shop including my Brothers first tattoo who was home from the Navy. Johnny again did a fantastic job and was always fair. My next step is to contact the B.B.B. to protect Ryan from taking advantage of anyone else. Read Less

I had Casey do a little armadillo on me today. To say he was incredible would be an understatement. My piece was done in a timely manner, the lines were tight and clean, he has a VERY light hand and was extremely pleasent. I have been very hesitant about going to anyone other than the same artist I've gone to for 10+ years..... today Casey changed my mind. I will definitely be returning because of this experience. One of the best shops I have been too. Got to have Luis do some work and have been back 3 times and requested him each time. Also had my sister in law see him along with my two girls. Ja Miller in the last week I just want to say, I have had multiple tattoos from almost all the artist that work there! I have always had an amazing experience, I'm taken back by a review posted about people getting high, I have been in this shop the past 3 years and never seen anything but professionalism. On the other note - I have some of the most amazing work! I get stopped daily to be asked about my work! I have been in many shops all over the world! And by far this shop...... with all artist included have been great! I was so impressed with what this shop did for Pulseand the community! For anyone to say anything different is an understatement! I have to say at first my experience was good but as the time went on to get my tattoo we noticed the artist step out to continually get high. As he even told us he was. I guess it was at this point we should have left but we were already part inked. The finer parts of my tattoo do not even show up, which could have been avoided had maybe the artist been alert enough to suggest a larger size to show the detail. The same problem has occurred with another tattoo from my group. So needless to say I now have two tats from my party that will require further attention. Moral of the story. Amazing work. Very comfortable environment. Ryan went out of his way to ensure I wasn't scared or anything while in his chair. Very professional. Lots of breaks (which is awesome, honestly. What can I say about Luis.... not only does his gorgeous artwork speak for itself.... realism, fantasy, color, b&w, freehand and his creative vision, excellent communication and great listening skills make him THE PERFECT artist for your job! He has a gentle hand (I mean as gentle as rapid fire needle pricks can be I suppose!) and a warm, welcoming personality. I am sooo pleased with our session and can't wait to do more!!! This place is great! I felt very comfortable and Ryan, the owner, did an amazing Pulse tattoo for me and my friend. All proceeds are going to the families and victims of the pulse shooting. It's very easy for a  tattoo parlor to be skeezy and gross but this place is really classy and clean. I definitely recommend for anyone wanting to get their first tattoo or for anyone who wants a really awesome comfortable and clean tattoo parlor for all there tattoo'ing needs. Highly recommend.
