I have nothing but positive things to say about my tattoo experiences at Rock-A-Billy. I first visited 15 years ago on a recommendation from a friend. They have kept my trust and business. The place is really clean and the staff very nice! I got my septum pierced here a couple of days ago, we were helped right away and our piercer didn't take long to get the job done. Everything was really clean and professional. I had a problem with my jewelry as soon as I got home, so I headed back and sure enough they were very helpful and nice to me. My piercing is healing really good and I've had no problem with it. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to get a piercing done! I've been coming here since I was 18 (i'm 32 now). This place rocks. It always has, and I am fairly certain that it always will! My favorite artist here is Chris. He did a gorgeous hibiscus cover up tattoo for me in the last couple of years. He wanted to make sure I was happy with the position of the area he marked before he did it. Nice place with lots to look at, if you're interested in getting a tattoo or that special piercing! They have a ton of flash tats on the walls and in multiple binders.....not to mention the separate binders of art/tats for each individual artist that works there. I got my first tattoo here and I couldn't have been happier with the way it came out. My artist was Chris Slota and he was more than helpful with making sure I knew what this would be like and what the final outcome would look like. During the tattoo we talked and he was extremely friendly and always made sure I was okay to continue the tattoo. The final outcome of the tattoo was fantastic and more than I could've hoped for. We decided to spontaneously get a tattoo and have read great reviews about this place. We walked in on a Saturday evening and luckily the artist was finishing up someone's tattoo. We signed a waiver and gave them a copy of our licenses. I waited about ten minutes because our artist was getting the stencil ready. The place was clean and large with a ton of artwork throughout. They have an open style and it seats about 4 or 5 artists. There's a waiting area with some chairs. They also do piercings there which is typical for a tattoo shop. The girl at the front desk was nice. She gave us some samples of ointment and aftercare directions.My artist, a young gentleman, forgot his name but he was really nice. He got all the equipment setup and prepped my skin by cleaning it and shaving the hair. My tattoo was small and just an outline; he said it would take five minutes and he was right. It did not hurt, just an annoying scraping feeling. Overall, I'm happy with the outcome of my tattoo. The shop minimum is $60 so mine came out to that plus tip. My husband got a tattoo also but was a little bigger, he worked on his after mine. I'd definitely come back to get more tattoos there! Read Less

I've been here twice now, and both times I was very satisfied with the overall experience. Both times were walk ins, and they are always super friendly and easy to work with. They put my name on a list and called when they were ready to have me come in. My sister and I first went in 2 years ago wanting Harry Potter tattoos. When I originally showed the design I wanted, they were really honest about not wanting to do it as the writing was too small and would look bad over time. I really appreciated that! I came back with a new idea and it worked perfectly. PL did both my sister and I's tattoos. They came out great and he was a pleasure to work with. My second visit was a couple weeks ago. I wanted to get my sons initial on my wrist. Chris was my artist and again, awesome to work with. Even though my tattoos are small and easy to do, they seem to treat everyone the same and take their time. They also made the experience go by quickly because they are super fun to chat with. I feel like they are similar to hair dressers in the sense that you feel like you can easily open up to them and tell them your life story in your first visit. LOL! Saturdays is apparently a bad day to do walk-ins, but Sundays seem to be first come, first serve.  Roger added to a tattoo I already had and he did a great job.  He was willing to make the adjustments I requested.  Shop is easy to locate and my only recommendation to anyone planning on visiting them is to make an appointment, especially for a Saturday. Walked in to get a wrist tattoo today. First impression: CLEAN! Always a good sign. The receptionist was very friendly too. Another bonus! I showed her what I wanted to do and she told me she had just the guy to do it. Frank worked with me and combined two designs that I had brought in. He was light handed with the gun and I am VERY VERY VERY pleased with the outcome! Reasonable price as well. Once the bandage comes off I will load the picture to show it off. The people that run this shop know what they are doing. My artist John is the bee's knees. He is patient and cool as a cucumber but he ll help push you through the hard bits like a champ. All the guys are very talented and are worth every penny for their work. They have a spot for discounted tattoos as well, which I thought was super cool. Shops hella clean. Atmosphere is comfortable and jovial. Customer service is top notch. I came here for my first tattoo many years ago. Glad I came back. I will be getting more work done here in the future. If you are looking for a great tattoo shop with talented artists, look no further than Rock-A-Billy Tattoo! I have been going to them for years and collecting tattoos ever since Dave Poole gave me my first one. Once I made the mistake of going to a different shop only to end up at Rock-A-Billy to have them fix it. I have had work from 3 different artists there (Dave, PL Serrano, & Chris Slota). Each has their own style but all are professional. I have spent many hours in this shop getting tattooed (full leg sleeves and an arm sleeve as well as back piece and chest) and have watched the staff and the way they interact with customers. They are always honest with the goal of doing GREAT tattoos. Sometimes, a customer will come in and ask for something that just won't look good and the staff at RABT will tell them so instead of just doing it to get the $$$. In the years that I have been dealing with them, they have earned my trust and respect. I would recommend RABT to anyone looking for a great tattoo. Unless you're a jerk. I was recommended by a friend and after reading the reviews about the tattoos, I decided to go. When I walked in someone immediately asked me if they could help and started working with me. After signing paperwork, he introduced himself as John and with 15mins of preparing the stencil, I was at the station ready to get inked. I did go on a Sunday and noticed that they were the only 2 artists there, so when it came to doing servicing there was always a break to answer the phones. The facility was clean and they seemed very chill. I do believe that if you are deciding on getting a tattoo there you should know what you are getting before walking in. because they seem like they're not into dealing with the bullshit. Soooo I went in a few days ago (yes I'm just now posting because I'm literally that petty) to get a replacement ball on my septum piercing because the one I had originally had fallen off and I lost it. I walked in and all of the guys were actually really nice I think they were all tattoo artist and they were really great at greeting people but when I went to the piercing lady she was quite unfriendly. Maybe she had a bad day but I am always a little bit nervous when somebody is doing anything with my piercing and I asked her if she could put the ball on for me which was like five dollars so that's cool. She tried a couple times and then had to get this metal tool for something and I asked her what it was for because you know, She's putting it next to my face and everything and she literally said nothing. I asked again and she still said nothing. I don't know, maybe I'm just overly friendly and it could be a bit of a turn off but as a professional I feel that it's your job to explain everything that you're doing to ensure a person's comfort! Anyway, the place looks great and super clean but the piercing lady has some work to do on her attitude! That is the only reason why I giving them twostars instead of five. Read Less

I would never recommend this place to anyone.... The night I went to pick out new jewelry the piercer had already gone home. The guy who tried to help me said that if it ended up not being what I needed or there was a problem that I'd be able to return it. I had to go to a second piercing place because the person here didn't even know how to take out my jewelry which just popped out....I just tried to call to confirm that I could come in and return it because after I went to another place they showed me how the jewelry hadn't been stored properly and how it had a bunch of dents/marks on it. Go else where for a piercing! I had been coming here for three years and have gotten most of my piercings from here. Greg has done great and always answered any questions I've had. The only issue is, when something goes wrong with your piercing or if you need help NO ONE CAN HELP!I recently got my nostril pierced and the ring put in was entirely too small for me. If began sinking and my skin was healing over the ring. For three days I called the shop and told them my problem and a piercer was not in shop for three days to take a look at it. I went else where and the difference in customer service was extreme. The shop I went to explained everything, changed my ring, and even mentioned that the swelling was severe partially because it was pierced at a wrong angle.Sad to say, my days with Rock a Billy are over because after being a customer for three years and expressing my displeasure with the nostril experience, a piercer could not take ten minutes out of the three days to contact me or even see me. I've never received a tattoo here, but I have gotten two piercings. The first of the two, a nostril piercing, went alright. I returned for a septum piercing, which was unfortunately not pierced in the correct spot. Because it was pierced incorrectly, I have a lot of pain in the tip of my nose when it is pushed on. The piercer there is also kind of pushy and made my experience feel uncomfortable. I gave two stars because they properly clean and sanitize everything before piercing you, but other than that I would not return here for a piercing and would send friends interested in getting pierced here elsewhere. Additionally, this was one of the first shops I looked into while I was first getting into the world of body mods and the person who answers the phone was incredibly rude to me and seemed aggravated that they had to answer my questions. Met with Roger to get my first tattoo. I had several photos of what concept I wanted and he free-handed it. With a few minor changes I suggested, he was open to customizing it to exactly what I wanted. He listened well and paid attention the the small details that make my tattoo "right". He was professional and polite, and totally comfortable to be around. I'm glad he didn't force any conversion during the tattoo because it being my first tattoo, I was focused on breathing. And he was focused on my tattoo. Going back tonight for another design concept...I hope he can bring it to life again!!He also showed me his portfolio prior to getting the tattoo which I find comforting in seeing his past masterpieces. I got a tattoo at Rock-A-Billy about 15 years ago, and absolutely loved it. The work was great and everything was tip top; however, I sent a couple of my friends there to get tattoos done and the staff was extremely rude and hostile. I am ashamed to say I have a tattoo by people who would insult customers. I had 3 friends, 1 being my sister-in-law, go in wanting white ink tats done. The staff insulted their choice stating that they only do real tattoos there. As far as I know, ink on skin is part of the art form, regardless of the color ink. I'm disappointed in this shop, and needless to say I will be going elsewhere for future work. Read Less
