I had an amazing experience with James! I messaged him to discuss idea to cover up that I got nearly 22 years ago. I really didn't like it and I wasn't sure how it was going to happen. I knew James was who I wanted to hire as soon as I decided I wanted to do it. I have known him for a couple of years and seen his artwork, not just tattoos, but work he has done on other fields, and knew he was incredibly skilled! I first reached out to have a chat and see what is possible if anything. He gave me great advice and was able to see a way to make what I wanted happen and he quote me what I thought was a very reasonable price! We were able to schedule the appointment and get it done. The tattoo was better than I could have hoped for and he was able to create what I wanted and used his skill and experience to make it come to life! Couldn't be happier with my experience with James and the quality of my tattoo! Highly recommend and I plan on going back for any future work. I know what to expect and what I will receive! It was really quite comforting to be able to enjoy the experience knowing that the finished product was going to be exceptional! Thanks James!

Have known James Hicks for years, trusted him to re-do three of my tattoos. He took a very long time to complete all of them charging me way too much money. I think I paid well over $400 for one. He did not have me sign a waiver form. He also took it upon himself to put male genitalia on my gargoyle tattoo. I did not ask for that and he proceeded to laugh. I am now stuck with these embarrassing tattoos and the one is vulgar. He is inappropriate and very very conceited. I feel betrayed.

When you first walk in it seems kind of shabby place to get a tattoo but after talking with a guy and listening to his story and looking around his shop it's very clean very secure and I do believe the health department is giving him an okay to do tattoos and he does really nice work for really nice price I recommend this place other people who wants quality work for reasonable price

This guy is completely irresponsible and extremely unprofessional. Lost his last shop which was on Cleveland heights due to non payment and hostility with the building owner. Called to get a tattoo and was cursed and call a lot of prophanity and racist remarks. He is well known in Lakeland for being disliked for his attitude and his lack of work. He also has an EXTREMELY slow hand when tattooing to purposely make a piece that would have originally only been 1hrs an a half and stretch it into a 3hrs session "100$" an hr that is his hustle and I'm pretty sure a lot of his past customers would agree. He always has a creepy reputation with female customers who've all felt uncomfortable whenever being tattoo by James. He would lock the door if only him and a female client and make them feel very uncomfortable with sex jokes and such. He is know in the tattoo community for his actions. Go to any shop and lakeland and ask them about James Hicks at vendetta tatttoos and look at their facial expressions. He is also a drug user. This guy is a complete disgrace to the entire tattoo community.

I had heard for a very long time about the quality of James' artistry. I knew for a fact that I wanted him to do my tattoo. We talked about the concept of my design and he wanted to fully understand sextants before he started drawing. I really appreciate the time he took to fully understand and draw out the artwork before he began the actual tattoo. James is not some tattoo hack, but a true artist in every sense of the word. I will definitely use James again for my 2nd tattoo.

James is an incredible artist. If you want an original tattoo, he designs it freehand on you in sharpie first so you can see how it would look on you. He really works to make sure that the tattoo is right for the client, and he is honest. If he thinks an idea for a tattoo can be made better, he'll work with you to develop the idea into something you'll really be proud of.

The Vendetta is the real deal. James is my one and only tattoo guy in Florida. As an art museum curator, I wouldn't trust just anyone with skin work. I originally chose James because he is a professional artist in and outside the tattoo studio. His large scale street murals have earned him a reputation on the FL scene. If you want quality tattoo work, seek someone who is an artist first and an experienced tattooist second. If you're in central Florida and want quality work from an artist worth his salt, go to Vendetta and talk to James. Trust me.

I had an amazing experience with James! I messaged him to discuss idea to cover up that I got nearly 22 years ago. I really didn't like it and I wasn't sure how it was going to happen. I knew James was who I wanted to hire as soon as I decided I wanted to do it.
