Dave is a true professional in every sense of the word.  He is truly a master of his craft and since I have come across Dave and his shop, I have made the trip from DC to Florida twice to have him work on my tattoos.  There are many tattoo artists out there who claim they can do Polynesian style but I doubt many of them lived and trained under the masters in the islands as Dave did for 18 years.  I have never seen straighter lines or better shading work anywhere in my life, even on the reality tattooing shows on TV.  Dave's shop is spotless and a very comfortable setting, especially with the Hawaiian radio station playing in the background.  The fact that Dave is by appointment only makes for a very relaxing and comfortable tattooing session as there is no foot traffic coming and going and there are no interruptions, so you're always getting the most for your money.  Dave takes the time to explain the design and why he chose the symbols he did and it is very easy to see that he takes complete pride in his work.  Dave's wife, Pam, is one of the nicest people that I have ever met and together they make the whole experience calming and enjoyable.  I consider myself lucky to have been tattooed by a tattooing legend like Dave Latora and every time I look in the mirror, I could not be more proud of my tattoos.  Anytime that I show it to people, they can not get over how straight the lines are or how amazing the design is.  I highly recommend Dave to anyone that is looking for a true Polynesian tattoo and not just some knock-off out of a stencil book.  Dave does not use any stencils or tracings, all of his designs come out of the conversations he has with you about your life.  It is with great pleasure that I write this recommendation about Dave and his business, I'm not one to review businesses online and I created a Yelp account just to be able to write this review, so that should tell you something!
