Started out good went here to get a cover up for an old tattoo and the irony is I am now in the process of getting a cover up for my cover up. I don't know if I was more  pissed off at the attempt of Robby trying to do the shading or his excuse for the lack of consistency of the shading. But I would never do business with that shop again. I've been lucky (or unlucky) enough to have experiences with shops that don't create a clean, professional environment, so I appreciate his shop even more. He's fast and committed, sessions run like clockwork. The shop is one of the most beautiful I've seen, and as clean as they come. Called in for an appointment with a description of the tattoo and placement (on hand). Went there and were told they do not tattoo on hands or neck if you haven't done it before, which i do not. We drove for 40 mins to get there only to get turned down. Over 1 hr wasted. I understand your policy and don't have any problem with it, but you should consider asking that question when someone is calling asking for a hand or neck tattoo. I am not a body art queen by any means, but hopefully my review means something. I went for my very first (and last!) tattoo and met with Aaron. It was something pretty special to me and he helped with the sizing and location, which I'm sure is standard. I told him how I wanted it in white ink and he warned me about how it might fade/bleed with the carbon (it wasn't something you could free hand, considering the design was done in my grandmother's handwriting) but I was too stubborn to listen. He promised that if it did bleed or just didn't fade the right way to come back and he would fix it bc he stands by his work. Needless to say, he was right. I went back in and he went over it with a darker color...which I should have done in the first place. Lesson 1- listen to your tattoo artist! But in all seriousness, the tattoo looks GREAT, the shop is super clean, workers are friendly, table side manners are awesome, and it's just a really quality establishment. I think anytime you're getting something done forever that you should do your research, so hopefully this review is helpful. My first appointment, I had no idea what to expect and yet, he hit the nail on the head. His creation was absolutely perfect. I travel the country for a living and I've been looking for just the right place to commit to getting tattooed. I knew someone in Jacksonville who had a beautiful piece and decided I'd go with her recommendation. I was super wary about going just anywhere because this would be my first tattoo that would be visible on a day-to-day basis. She told me this place was wonderful. I decided to go for it. I called the shop and set up and appointment with Aaron Murray for a few days later. We chatted a bit about what I was looking for and where I wanted it. I emailed him a picture of what I was looking for. I came in, pretty nervous, as this was the biggest tattoo I've ever gotten (the length of my forearm) and was WOWED by what Aaron had created. It was way better than the picture I had shown him (and original... can't beat that) and it had all the elements I was looking for. The tattoo took about two hours and Aaron was great about making sure I wasn't in too much pain and was easy to talk to! James, the owner, was just as friendly and welcoming.This place is pristine. They've got awesome art hanging on the walls. And there are two amazing artists that will give you a tattoo better than you imagined it could be! GO HERE. So I literally just got a tattoo maybe 30 minutes ago, and I am so happy with it. Aaron Murray did a small infinity symbol with a heart inside on the inside of my finger. The shop was clean, the guys were really friendly, and I felt immediately comfortable.  I was pretty nervous about getting a tattoo on my finger but when he started the tattoo he also kept talking to me so the pain wasn't really noticeable. The whole time I was in the shop I was laughing and felt like I was among friends. I usually get tattoos in Orlando, but driving down for such a simple tattoo was not going to happen. I started looking for shops around the area I lived, I came across this shop on my yelp app, the reviews were amazing and after looking at the artwork on their website I was sold. This is my new shop in Jacksonville and I recommend it very highly. If you are looking for a great atmosphere and badass tattoo by some pretty cool guys, this is the place. James has been tattooing me for almost three years since I moved to Jacksonville 5 years ago. He never ever fails to amaze me - I just have to give him a slight idea of what I want and he runs with it, creating something I could never have imagined in my head. He blows my mind every time and he has never disappointed me once. I live on the beach and usually try to keep my business local, but a good tattoo is one thing I AM willing to drive a little for. Coming here is definitely worth the journey to Riverside. James has been drawing on me since I first moved to Jacksonville in 2012, beginning across the 'hood at Black Hive (which is a fantastic shop that I also recommend). He is an absolutely wonderful artist with a great sense of humor. His quick and light handiwork makes being tattooed nearly a downright pleasant experience; well, as pleasant as being repeatedly poked in tender spots can be! Sunday Tattoo Gallery also has a great atmosphere -- welcoming, impeccably clean, and super relaxing. If you're considering a new tattoo I highly suggest that you call James post-haste... just don't make him TOO busy or else I might have to wait longer for my own tattoos! ;) Read Less
