Having gotten 4 tattoos at a single shop elsewhere, I was definitely nervous about changing tattoo parlors after moving back to Jax. I chose Inksmith & Rogers and I couldn't be more happy with that decision. Everyone I interacted with was really helpful and I really did feel like they were all doing their best to give me the best possible tattoo. I'm no artist, and every comment they had about my mock-up was constructive and helped me realize the vision I had in my head. My best friend and I went in for a tattoo last weekend. We had something in mind that we wanted, but after telling them what it was they talked us out of it. For good reason. We decided on something else that we had considered and agreed it was a better idea. After over an hour of talking about different options we finally decided on a tattoo. A friend and I got our tattoos done here. This was my second tattoo, and her first. The entire group of guys working that day were really friendly, and made the two of us comfortable from the moment we entered the shop. Kenny Rice tattooed me, and did a wonderful job. He tried to talk to me as he was working on it, but I was in too much pain to hold up much of a conversation, so I'll give him credit. My poor ribs hurt afterward, but they look gorgeous! My friend's tattoo was of the drawing of Simba that Rafiki did in The Lion King, and hers looked beautiful. I don't know the name of her artist. I'd definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking to get a tattoo around here. Read Less
