About 2 weeks ago i walked into Alley Cats Tattoo, just to see what our of they could do a specialty piece. I wanted an American flag tattoo wrapped around my arm. The owner Chad seemed like he didn't want to do the piece so he asked Joe if he wanted to tackle it. Joe jumped right in with some Google images of what i was kinda looking for. They required me to put 50 dollars deposit, For them to hold a chair for me and to draw up the tattoo. Now I made an appointment for 4/21.../17 which was like 2 weeks after the timeI walked in to talk to Alley Cats. I friended Alley Cats Tattoo on Facebook, so that Joe could show me the rough draft of my tattoo and for him to answer a couple of questions I had. Joe responded in a timely manner (not sure how quick) but he answered my questions. Finally tattoo day, my appointment was at 12:30 pm and as soon as I walked through the door, Joe was just about ready. It was a rough start. Joe made the stencil and placed on my arm but out didn't turn out quit the way I had imagined it. So he made another, this time he made some marks on my arm and paper so that he could line it up before it was applied. Then he sat the stencil down in some rubbing alcohol and ruined the second stencil. On to the third stencil. At this point i was starting to think about my decision. But the third time is always the charm. Joe and I come to a decision not to use white for the stars and stripes and that he would put a shade in them to make it look like they are white. White fads too an ugly yellowish color over time. Joe put in his earphones and went to work. He was very professional and very clean. Alley Cats Tattoo is not a fly by night tattoo shop, here today and gone tomorrow. They take pride in there work. And I will recommend Joe at Alley Cats Tattoo for anyone looking for some new ink.
