From the minute I walked in all employees greeted me while they were taking care of customers. I've been to the shop before but this time I brought my child for some ear piercings. Tiffany was extremely patient when picking jewelry and very thorough in explaining how the process was done. The quality and selection of her jewelry was incredible. I would strongly recommend her she did a much better job than my kids pediatrician and is great with children. I randomly ended up here because it was nearby. I walked in and I noticed the place was super clean and the artists were extremely friendly. I was very indecisive on which side of my ear to get pierced and which jewelry to get. They were super helpful with loads of information and tips on what jewelry I should get for which part of my ear. The jewelry is probably the highest quality I have ever seen. They have titanium and gold. I got the cutest little gold hoop with an opal stud. I was freaking out about getting my ears pierced - from previous horror stories. Best tattoo shop I have ever been to. In the past I would hop from shop to shop getting different tattoos but ever since I stumbled upon twisted heart tattoo that was the end of that. The artist are extremely talented and very respectful. I had issues in the past with different artist but never experienced any issues at twisted heart. Hollywood has a few shops I've seen but this one is by far the best! First time coming across this shop I wandered in mostly to look around. It's a little hidden and if I wasn't walking I probably would have never knew it was there. I was greeted immediately by friendly artist. Though I wasn't going to get a tattoo then, one of the artist still drew up a quick sketch for me regarding what I wanted. Their piercer was also there so I managed to swap out one of my piercings for a much prettier piece of jewelry. They have a great variety. A month goes by and I decided to go back mostly because it was my birthday and I always like to treat myself to a birthday tat. And based on my first interaction with the folks that work there I knew this is where I wanted to go. I was greeted by Jason who also ended up doing my tattoo. He isn't heavy handed at all which made it a really smooth experience. I was pleased and left. I've since been back for another piece and the quality of it makes me leaving wanting more. My 2 girlfriends and I were on vacation and really wanted to get some tattoos done. We did some research and found this place based on positive reviews. We called ahead to make sure they could take walk ins and they were very nice and said come on in! All 3 of us went in, told them what we wanted and we were all tattooed in less than an hour! I came to this tattoo shop on a recommendation from my friend who has gotten a lot of work done here in the past. Went in requesting a cover up tattoo on my hip, and left with a beautiful piece. I honestly couldn't be happier with it! The artist my friend used to go to no longer works out of this shop, so instead I was introduced to an artist new to the shop but had 10 years of experience, Cody. I gave Cody a couple of picture ideas of what I wanted before I booked my appointment and he was definitely happy to do it. When I got there for my appointment a few days later, Cody had drawn out one rose, but I really wanted two that looked a little different so he told me to hang tight while he drew up another sketch for me, totally cool and understanding. Cody took his time and made me really feel comfortable during my session. He did a beautiful job of covering what I needed to and I am excited to see the completed tattoo after I fully heal and do the touch up session in a couple of weeks! Read Less

I've had the worst luck with piercers in the past. From a botched septum piercing with someone wildly incompetent, to a rude, rushed piercer who ruined my first attempt to get a nostril piercing, I'd become incredibly jaded with piercers and really wanted a professional who was trustworthy and courteous for my second attempt at a nostril piercing. Tiffany met and surpassed all of my expectations! She was kind, patient, and knowledgeable. She confirmed what I knew and gave me invaluable information of her own as well. The jewelry selection was gorgeous, the shop was very clean, and this was hands down the best piercing experience that I've ever had! I would recommend Twisted Heart and Tiffany to anyone! This shop is an absolute blessing. Located in Hollywood, I walked in for a consultation on a cartilage piercing and to get two more lobes done. I also brought my sister and cousin, who Tiffany, the wonderful body piercer, was happy to help. Horrible experience. The Tim guy up front put me off time and time again. Never responded or followed through with what he said he was going to do. He did one tattoo on me and had me waiting 4 hours the appointed time without even so much as a sorry. The tattoo turned out less than satisfactory. I wish I would have done my homework before wasting my time and money with this joker. He's full of excuses, and far from being professional.  The other people in there seemed nice however. I have gotten ear piercings (cartilage) done by multiple people in multiple places over the years. However never have I felt such a solid sense of a piercer's expertise until coming here. From the jewelry to the actual piercing process, Tiffany clearly is an expert. I got a very clear sense from her that she will only work with efficient means and with safe, high quality products. I felt significantly less nervous and uneasy about it than I have in the past because I truly felt like she knew what she was doing. In March 2016, I started doing some research in regards to the best tattoo shop in the area. I was looking to get a massive peace that would cover a large majority of my back As a tribute to two very dear people who have passed away, I wanted to get angel wings on my  back. But I was picky, and I wanted them re-drawn, re-edited and so on. I came across this place. I read all the reviews, saw all their published work and finally decided to go there in a fine afternoon to inquire about details. When I walked in, Tim was the only one there - he was working on a beautiful rose peace on someone's shoulder. He asked me if I needed help and I told him what I was looking to do. He said he would be willing to work with me, I just needed to make an appointment and we will discuss more. I took a business card and left with a good impression. I eventually called, made an appointment, and went for the first session. He re-drew the wings. I told him I didn't like the base of the wings, I'd like that changed. He changed it, but explained that's how wings normally look like. Sure, no arguing there! After maybe an hour, I was happy with the drawing and agreed to proceed. This would be my second tattoo and the largest one. Before, I had only experienced one tattoo - for about 5 minutes! This would take approximately 10 hours! So he started. I am a VERY ticklish person, pretty much any touch will make me giggle, at least. Throughout the experience, I did just that. I would forever be remembered as the human who laughed the most during a tattoo. Tim was extremely friendly, accommodating and checked on me the entire time. I could only tolerate 2 and a half hours for the first session. By the time I went for the second one, I had learned to take Advil and lasted about 7 and a half hours - I really wanted the piece done that day. By the end, I was annoyed with the pain, but I was highly satisfied with how the piece turned out! Tim showed creativity and figured how to enhance the look of the whole tattoo. He is truly talented and you can clearly see his passion through his works! He loves what he does and it shows. Because a tattoo experience doesn't end with the actual tattooing, Tim gave me some samples for after-care. I apologize, I forget the name. They turned out crucial! My body normally tolerates just about everything I put it through and, with Tim's help & advice, my tattoo healed quickly. I can't describe the itch, which I haven't forgotten a year later! But, it's part of the healing process. The picture attached was taken right after it was finished, after over 7 hours of tattooing. The price paid was way worth it! However, for me, it was reasonable. He could have charged more.I can't stress this enough! Please, whatever you do, do not get a cheap tattoo - you will get what you pay for! I highly recommend Tim & anyone at Twisted Heart Tattoo and for any reasonable requests. Throughout my "stay" there, some other artists there, like Jason had started and finished pieces - they all looked awesome! This place is a gem! I will forever be thankful for this tattoo and any subsequent ones I may decide to pursue; I wouldn't want anyone else to do them! Today, my experience with at Twisted Heart ended with the biggest smile anyone's ever seen! My journey started when I went in to inquire about two large wings on my back and spoke with Tim. A few days later, an appointment was set and the work was about to start. Because my experience with tattoos is somewhat limited, I could only last for two and a half hours before I decided to continue at a later time, possibly in a month. Surprisingly, the outline and the shading done th...e first time, had healed very quickly and I was ready for the second session. Tim accommodated me as best as possible and I was in for the second session a week later. The expectation was to do at least two and a half hours, like previously. 5 hours later, the opera was finished! His attention to detail, competence, and ability to make anyone comfortable are remarkable. He is very friendly, as are the rest of the artists. I will also mention that before deciding to go in, I did a ton of research and Twisted Heart was the best I could find. That's an understatement. They have no need to convince you to get a tattoo, their clients speak for themselves. Their art speaks for itself. What they will do is deliver the best possible quality of your vision. This place is really good, all the artists and the piercer are very experienced and careful. They're all friendly so you don't have that condescending tough guy tattoo artist attitude making your tattoo experience uncomfortable. They aren't really so pricey, their rate is $100 an hour. Places like My Tattoo Shop will charge you more than that for a really poorly done tattoo. Remember, tattoos are forever, so is AIDS and Hepatitis C. Get inked somewhere safe. Read Less

Prices are a little pricier then other tattoo shops around, but you're paying for the service as well as the environment. I've gotten 3 of my piercings done there, as well as an upcoming tattoo.
