RIPOFF......Whats good with the staff the lil guy at the counter with the HAT is a weirdo just stands there and makes you feel uncomfortable went to get 2 Simple tattoos both the size of a dime. A letter “K” and a outline of a triangle this man wanted to charge $100. There was not one person in the shop at the time either. The color I wanted did not come through, I followed the care instructions very closely. Instead of having my bright red, I have a dark burgundy. Not very sanitary place either. But you get what you pay for. Going somewhere else, to get it covered. Replying to the response from the owner: I didn't say your tattoo practices were unsanitary. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I came in for two piercings (belly button & snake eyes). Let's just say I am starting to have complications with my belly button of course right after the snake eyes. I went through a week of awful pain with my tongue, had indentations and my tongue was having little areas that was turning purple. Because of my job i commute a lot and had to rush to a different tattoo shop to get it removed. According to that piercer they had mentioned that my piercing would've never healed because of there they pierced it. With the piercing they did nothing right... it was sad... especially since I was very excited to have it.Now with my belly button piercing I am noticing that I got a scab that I haven't had while having it. Plus I've been taking good care.In which the piercer didn't even give me any documentation or verbal advice on how to take care of the piercing...They have terrible customer service I am surprised I even bothered to come here.I will be stopping by for a full refund because I am not happy with my results. I came in yesterday to get my nose pierced , the guy who did my piercing (I forgot his name) was very unprofessional . After the piercing he just stood there and stared at me awkwardly. He didn’t give me any paper with info on my piercing or cleaning procedures . I asked him how long before I can change the jewelry he stated 3-6 weeks . That’s all the interaction we had . I’ve gotten piercings before and that’s not normal behavior for me and as a piercer that’s horrible service . I tipped him anyways because I’m nice but I really shouldn’t have . I went to get my industrial done yesterday, it was pierced by Enrique, he was really quick about it which is goo, because it was less painful that way. The reason I only give three stars is because on the app it says it's $30 but they charged $45 i didn't complain though, and if you want to get pierced and have a friend they don't let your friends go in with you. I also did not see him take out a new needle or see him take out a new piercing and he was handling it without gloves he put on gloves after touching everything and he did wipe my ear with alcohol and gloves but I would have preferred to see him take a brand new needles out and piercing out of a sterilized package. Also another thing is that, i wasn't talked through it like aftercare and i was hoping to get it marked to see how it would look after it's pierced. But he just pierced it without showing me first, it came out nice can't complain. And it was just a silver bar I would have thought I had a choice on what it would look like. All he said was wait six weeks before I change it and that was it. But yea moral of the story the app prices aren't accurate, no aftercare info, no friends in with you, and doesn't show you what it will look like before. But thankfully I have the internet to go to and it actually came out nice, he did tell me if I have any problems to go back. Read Less

i got a nose piercing a couple days ago and the price was good- $25. I wish they took cards since i rarely carry cash on me. the piercing was quick and easy but afterwards the piercer didn't even tell me how to clean it, no type of aftercare instructions. Even though i'm clearly new to this (i only have two ear piercings). The piercing started to bleed and he just handed me a piece of paper towel so I can clean it!! Got my nose pierced, it was really quick and painless. The place was nice, good music, great ambient although I wish they were more friendly. No communication at all, I had to keep asking questions because it was my first piercing. They had just one piece for the nostril, I agreed to use it but that's not the piercing I wanted. Ridiculous the way customers are treated. Went last week to show what I wanted, artist couldn't do it on the weekend so an appointment was scheduled for today (Monday) at 1 pm.  Arrived 10 minutes early to find out the scheduled appointment time was a waste of time, artist wasn't in, could I come back at 3.  Why schedule appointments if you aren't going to honor them??? Ok, 3 it is.  Get back home and get a phone call to inform me that the artist isn't coming in at all.  In their defense, they did try and reschedule but if a gallery is going to pull this, forget it, you ain't getting my $800.  Wasted and entire day off for nothing. I am a regular here, I would say every month or so I come in with a friend(one only) and everyone is always happy with the artwork they do. I have gotten 3 tattoos done here and my belly piercing and I can't thank Reek and James enough for always doing an absolutely amazing job and they make me feel at home and comfortable. They also have a really cool app now, very easy to use, and you get discounts with it as well which is always awesome when it comes to tattoos, not easy on the wallet. I had Neil as my tattoo artist. What a nice guy. He was very calming and very respectful. They all were. Neil kept talking to me to help me keep my mind off of the pain. It didn't work lol but I did appreciate the effort. He did exactly what I asked and for a great price. I'd recommend this place to any and everyone. Very clean also. This review is based on my experience getting pierced. The piercer was extremely nice, and calm. Which helped me because I was a bit nervous. He did it so so quickly, and it was not painful at all. Never ever come here first of all Amanda is rude very little customer service skills so that made me hesitant. Second the dont honor there by one get one tattoo and piercing deals they claim its just tattoos then why dont u guys say that. Third of all I get back there and the guy with stretchers in his ear with the ponytail looks very young so I ask him how old are u he said "Im almost 19" so i said how long have you worked here he said "long enough". So that made me think e...ven more but I already paid so I went through with it anyway. Before he does it I ask him to clamp it he says "oh we dont do that" So I deicide to still get it anyway so he pierces it with a L shaped ring right after he did it he was like "oh i should of looked at the shape of your nose first" WTF so he's trying to turn it the right way and it slips out. Then He trys to put it back in it wont go he starts pushing down hard trying to force it through thats when I tell him to stop and give me my money back he tries to explain himself n I tell him no at this point Im bleeding like crazy. So I see an older man who looks exactly like the owners picture online so I ask him if he is the owner he says no. Moral of the story is go with your first mind and cheap isnt always the best. I went to My Tattoo Shop two weeks ago on July 24th with my friend Jade. Our other two guy friends came with us for "emotional support" lol. Now this wasn't my first time being here, but it was Jades. I had previously been here a little more than a year ago to re-pierce by belly button. But since I'm terrible at keeping my jewelry in, it closed up. ):On a whim we had decided to go and get some piercings... I wanted to get my nose pierced on the other side of my face (and was considering redoing my belly button) and jade wanted to get her nipple pierced. Now even though I have multiple piercings (some of them multiple times lol) I still had that nervous, butterfly feeling in my stomach... so you can imagine how jade must have been feeling lmao. We open their front door and walk in to a VERY CLEAN and FRIENDLY looking shop. As you walk towards the front desk there are two plush couches on both sides of the rooms, a pool table, artwork portfolios lining the wall, and an arcade game. When we approached the front desk, a man was in the middle of a discussion with cliental, and so we waited. **now I don't understand why everyone is getting so butt hurt over not being greeted. your not invisible, they know you're there and they will get to you. I know that when its my turn he will give me his full attention and courtesy, the same way that he is behaving with the people at the counter. and that is something to be appreciative of, especially when discussing things pertaining to your body and needles lol.**Then it was our turn, as I got closer I realized it was the same guy who did my belly button last time.. Reek.While we were filling out our paper work, we bombarded him with questions. Through it all Reek was very friendly and funny, and continuously smiled even with stupid and nervous questions being thrown at him. His relaxed demeanor made us feel like he was friend not foe and put us at ease... **again I don't understand some of you people... do you want them to give you a serious stare and make you feel like your about to have a life altering procedure? Because personally I'd rather they act like a friend and make me feel comfortable**We finished our papers, gave our I.D.s, and paid.. we were ready to go.We waited about 10 minutes and then it was our turn.. I went first, got seated in the back room **without jade, because unlike most tattoo shops, "My Tattoo shop" actually follows the state's Health Regulations**He marked the area on my nose, asked me to check and make sure its even and where I wanted it. it was... so he pierced it in 1,2,3 done! He did it so efficiently and painlessly, I thought "the hell with it, lets do my belly button". So we did my belly button and again same experience quick, easy, and as painless as could be. **to the girl that was perturbed that no one told her her belly piercing was done... are you stupid? or are you blind? because all you had to do was glance downwards to tell....0_0**Jade came and went... and said she had the same great experience... I was very impressed on the way everyone handled themselves and the customer service we received from Reek. We are very happy with our piercings!! Many of my friends (and strangers) admire his handy work and how perfectly even he got my nose piercings. All of them are healing really nicely and I will definitely come back (with friends) for more work! thanks guys and thank you Reek!And WOW, it is such a shame that their rating is being affected by yelps terrible review processing system. DO NOT GO HERE FOR PIERCINGS!!!!!!! You pay for what you get. Cheap piercings with extremely cheap jewelry that will cause complications.Cheap prices and shitty quality. I got my nose pierced here 3 months ago. The guy did it in a second, said we were done and walked out of the room. I had to ask how to clean it, etc. He was not helpful at all. 2 weeks later I  get an infection that I couldn't get rid of for 2 months. I called for help and they once again were unhelpful. I went to another piercer to get their opinion. When I told them My Tattoo Shop did the piercing they laughed! This shop uses the cheapest jewelry on you and does not pierce properly. My stud was made of steel and apparently was pierced at the wrong angle.. all reasons why i had an infection.  I had to take it out. Apparently this is the reputation this has. They pull you in with the pricing, but I guarantee you will not be satisfied as they are putting shitty metal into your body. Read Less

I will begin by saying that I did not get any work done at this shop. Since I'm considering in getting my first tattoo, I decided to check out this location and see some drawings. As I entered, and for the remainder of my visit, I was never greeted or approached. And not once but twice did one of the employees burped very loudly. Now, I will prefer to assume that someones disregard for manners will leave room to doubt on their hygiene and practice. I will not take a chance on this place. I went in for a piece that I had been playing around with in my mind for a while and when I talked to the artist I received great feed back and ended up making a few changes that made the piece even better than what I could have came up with on my own. The shop is very clean and the staff was very friendly which was important to me because I think it is important to feel comfortable when making such a huge decision. I would recommend this shop to any of my friends and I already have an appointment for my next tat. I went into my tattoo shop on Hollywood blvd today to get some work done. I knew exactly what I wanted, I printed the picture I wanted the stencil of. I walked in the shop & all the workers were sitting eating Chinese food and not one of them lifted their heads up from their won ton soup to greet me or even say "how can I help you" you know, something called manners..so when I showed them what I wanted the lady @the counter took the picture gave it to the tattoo artist James, then brought it back to me and when I looked @it I said I would like it to be a little smaller and the lines thicker. She said "well it can't be smaller and he's already complaining about the lines" then I signed this weird piece of crap  release form that had a bunch of sketchy questions and statements on it. I paid ahead of time. 50$. Then when James was ready I went back in the room and he didn't even conversate with me. He gave me one word answers like I was wasting his time and he also had a glazed look in his eyes then kept sniffling...I don't think he was sick btw. Then after he was done he added a line that wasn't on the ugly stencil he used so it looks like a piece of garbage. DON'T EVER GO TO MY TATTOO SHOP the artists are not even good and they go through them like I go through chicken soup. STAY AWAY. I went in because I've passed by this place every day and had been thinking about getting some new art done. I was not greeted by anyone and strangely enough, no one was busy. I finally got the attention of one guy who was pretty nice, and he did a pretty simple piece for $140, more than I would've spent at Twisted Heart or Silver on the Mount. I've had the tattoo I got there for about a month and a half and it looks like I've had it for thirty years.
