This establishment and more specifically the artist Alejandro has been recommended heavily around my social circle and social media. After seeing the quality of his work on my boyfriends last 4 tattoos I was convinced and ready to sit in his chair myself. The cleanliness of the shop is the first thing I noticed. Both the common areas and the restroom (which is not always the case). Next would be how well lit the establishment is. Most tattoo shops have dark/dingy vibes that aren't always comfortable or comforting, especially new clients. Each of the artists stations were neat and organized. The atmosphere was also very welcoming. We were greeted by everyone when we walked in the door and the TV's and music weren't so loud and overbearing as I have witnessed at other shops in the past. In the professionalism department, Alejandro takes the cake. He was ready and prepared to get started in a short period of time. I did not have to wait for him to finish drawing or editing my design only sizing and he was ready to begin. The quality of his work is impeccable and as of right now I would not go anywhere else to be tattooed (I lived an hour 1/2 away).The shop is located in a busy shopping plaza with minimum parking. I love to write reviews, especially for good experiences, but I am not sure I can put into words how amazing Major League Tattoos is & I even think amazing is a tremendous understatement. I pass quite a few tattoo shops on my way here, since I live out of town but I won't go anywhere else. Walking in to this clean, well kept establishment makes the drive worth it. I feel like I am with family the moment I walk in through the doors. Major League Tattoos doesn't have that grungy feel many tattoo spots have. It's well lit & very clean, which makes me feel extremely comfortable. If anyone ever asks me where to go for a tattoo or piercing I always send them here. It's worth the drive, time to wait (if need be) for an appt and any money spent here. I have gotten many many piercings and all my tattoos here. They always know what to do and see my vision to completion when I go in with any crazy requests. I can't say enough good things about this place. All the artist are great at what they do and are very professional, Major League Tattoos is sooo reasonably priced for the quality of the work they deliver. Honestly my tattoo is only about 6 months old and the quality of the ink is horrible; it looks like I've got my tattoo years ago. My older tattoos look newer. Also, I thought my down payment was going to count towards my tattoo at the end and it turns out they "lost" my paper even when I showed them a copy. Unfortunately, I would've not gotten tattooed here if I knew these mishaps were going to happen. Wish I would've received a better experience. Read Less

Sometimes you need a bad experience to write a good review. The first time I got my nose piercing I went here, and I have to say I did not feel anything or bleed. There was a little bit of blood around the nose stud but no blood dripping or any pain. About four months later I took it off for a facial and forgot to put it back, eventually it closed. Today I went to get it reopened, I went to inkaholiks instead because they had a 5 dollar special. The piercing process was painful and I had blood dripping down my nose in what seemed to me like a lot. Not worth the 15 dollars I saved. Would definitely be going to all star for every other piercing I get. Apart from that I did my wrist tattoo at all star about 3 years ago, and they were extremely nice, delicate, and clean. I went for a consultation and I loved how they work with me and my budget. The guy are super nice and my tattoo Artie's Javier he did an awesome job. Today i visited Major League Tattos in Hialeah, FL. I was welcomed by a young gentlman at the counter very pleasant. I explained i had a tattoo which i wanted to have someone look at it and see what I can do to it. The main reason was I wanted to get a sleeve started and wanted to add images around it. He directed to a very large gentleman in a corner which sat there as if he was the Don of the shop (not the owner) when he looked at my tattoo the first thing he said before i even spoke was "I dont touch other peoples work" then when i asked for ideas of what to put around it or what blending can be done around the tattoo he wasnt even interested. There was no desire to help me as a customer. I asked him if he was availble to do a piece and he said no i have the guy behind you and totally dismissed me. He didnt offer another artist in the shop he didnt say to stick around he didnt offer anything. Its as if i was taking up his valuable time. I thought this was extremly rude and none sympathetic to the customers needs. I had $1500.00 with me ready to be used. I guess my money is no good at major league tattoos. Read Less

I have 5 tattoos, 4 of which were done here. Something as personal and PERMANENT as getting a tattoo requires thought, and a sense of comfort about the place you're getting it from. This place is that place for me. They're clean, professional, and all of the people that work there make you feel super comfortable about the whole process, which helps those who go into it more nervous than others. From the design to the actual tattooing they're patient and that is essential when dealing with different people with different pain tolerance levels. If you're thinking of getting a tattoo, go here. Been meaning to write this review for a while. I went back in September 2015 to get myself a birthday treat. Well before that, I'd spent a couple of months back and forth with the artist there, Lisette, trying to figure out exactly what I wanted. She was gracious with her time, and she sent me sketches here and there till we got what I ended up getting. You can follow her work on instagram at @_glitterpoops She is amazing with watercolor and traditional tats, and you can find my tattoo there. I even had some issues with the healing process and she was very cool about having me come back in and retouching (it was a tough to heal spot). Second time around, it healed gloriously. I came to Major League in 2009 to get a leo symbol on my hip. After visiting many times, and seeing plenty of their work being done on my friends, this was definitely my first pick for my tattoo.My tattoo was done by a young girl, who was relatively short and was sporting dark black hair at the time. She was very nice and although it was only my second tattoo, she made me feel completely at ease. I am TERRIFIED of pain, and I truly wanted to scream and cry during the process but seeing her, a cute little girl tattooing my body-- I would have felt like the biggest wimp so I stayed completely still and quiet.Afterward, I was so happy! She was open to my suggestion of tweaking the original design to add a tail-like end to the symbol, made it smaller than her original sketch for me, and ensured I walked out happy.I did not take care of the tattoo as I should have, and she had no problem redoing it for free when I walked back in. I tipped her generously for taking the time to do it, and my tattoo is great! I am not a big fan of tattoos, but I love mine :) I have also seen them do much more intricate work and I definitely stick by the fact that they are top-notch. Highly recommended shop! Read Less

I went and got a tattoo on my left rib cage and when it was transferred from the paper to my skin, it looked fine but by the time the so called "artist" finished, it looked like my 4 years old daughter drew it. I would rate this place with negative stars If possible. Read Less

My daughter, my sister and I went to Major League Tattoos on Saturday, July 6th, 2013. The staff was very professional and very very patient with me since I mentioned that this was my first tattoo. The place was also very clean which of course is very very important when choosing a tattoo shop. All 3 of us ended up getting tattoos - we were very satisfied. The artists have all been great with me. I've been tattooed by them all.And what better recommendation then knowing they tattoo baseball players. They've also been in the news paper. This place is relatively new and with poor knowledged employees. The tattoo artist does a pretty well job but just that, only tattoos. He does not know how to do piercings he pierced my lip at an angle causing it to bruise and swell more than normal, he also put in an incorrect size bar for the piercing, and had trouble with tightening the ball. i spoke with a professional piercer at Allstar tattoos on 68th ave and he was really helpful with explaining what had happened and in changing the piercing for me.
