They always work with me to get me in and sometimes I've been able to walk in and get an amazing piece within the same hour. Always impressed. I've had my ups & downs with this shop, along with mixed emotions, but Mel & the girls at the front turned that right around Saturday. My tattoo ink was messed up, Boch did the wrong color on part of , only asked for 3 colors on a very small tattoo. Had to go back again to try and repair. When I told another person what happened.... Boch said he "could not remember all the colors" it seemed awkward. Did not want to do a hand tattoo to begin with, were discouraging me from getting. Went to another tattoo place to get repaired. The receptionist, Devin, was the most helpful of all with myself, my mom and my aunt. She was so knowledgeable about the jewelry and piercings and had a honest & bubbly personality. Out of the 5 tattoos received from here, I have had one good experience. Larry is an amazing artist and is personable without being overwhelming. If I ever go back to body tech it will be to make an appointment specifically with Larry. Last night I went in to get a simple sun tattoo on my ankle and it looks very sloppy, as if a small tattoo wasn't worth his time. I do think that the artists there are very talented and the place is very clean, but the vibe from most of the artists really makes me not want to return. I got my 2nd earlobe piercings and my cartilage piercing done here! The staff are very friendly and Justin was really quick and professional. Some people don't like how he does the piercing so quickly and then ends the process but I thought it was okay because I have a very impatient personality and there's nothing much that he can do, besides offer a little advice. I would rely on the front desk ladies for cleaning tips!In addition, my piercings never got infected, maybe because I used the salt spray they offered. She explained everything in detail and gave me plenty of time for questions and input.The entire shop is extremely clean, organized, and professional. They have a bright, well displayed front room. I got a tattoo from body tech the other day. I have multiple tattoos and I have to say of all the shops I've been in this one was the cleanest and friendliest shops I've been in. They are also amazingly prices. I had Enrique do my tattoo and he was very friendly but also willing to let me just chill too which I love when getting a tattoo. I use it as a sort of "me time" and he was cool with that. He was also cool with talking to me when I wanted to talk. I also got my nose re-pierced by Melissa and she was sooooooo nice. I got my lobes and helix pierced here last summer.  My lobes healed okay, but my helix piercing ended up with a huge bump and I had to go to another piercer to fix the issue. I've learned my lesson. Only go to certified piercers and piercers who don't use externally threaded jewelry. The only reason why I didn't give one star is because my lobe healed okay. Read Less

Two of my friends and I got our 2nd cartilage piercings done here. ALL of them got infected and the piercer was rude and rushed us. I cleaned mine for months with the spray they sell you and they were hard to reach for questions on my piercing. When I went in they said that it looked like normal irritation but it had yellow and green puss and lots of blood. After using witch hazel and Neosporin that they told me to use, nothing changed and today after having the piercing for 8 months, I had to take it out. My other friends took theirs out much earlier than me and we didn't have any issues with our other piercings done somewhere else. I don't recommend this place, at least not for cartilage piercings. We were very happy then.  They offer to touch up any fading within a year so I decided to take advantage of that while I was back in town this weekend. When I called they said they don't normally do them on weekends but they made an exception since I no longer live in Florida. In all honesty this establishment doesn't even deserve a single star. I came here to get my conch pierced, along with my friend, and we both suffered from SERIOUS infections. We both ended up coming in to have it looked at only for the cashier girl to tell us we looked "fine". BOTH of us had to come to the ER, BOTH of us had to receive surgery, along with a plethora of antibiotics, and BOTH of us were at a high risk of sepsis. Coincidence? I think not. This place is clearly inadequate at keeping their tools sanitary and I would NEVER recommend someone to come here. As for their reply on another review, coming up with excuses and not owning up to their wrongs only shows what kind of work ethic they have present here. I received my first tattoos today (2/5/15) from up and coming artist Aubrey at BodyTech. Aubrey was knowledgeable, quick, skilled and personable. She took her time matching the placement of my tattoos (one on each forearm), which I greatly appreciate, but was very considerate of my schedule as well. The shop is huge and clean - I'm a stickler for cleanliness and was very impressed with how fastidious Aubrey was with maintaining as sterile an environment as possible. I also loved how the other staff members often stopped by while Aubrey was working to chat - it made the whole experience that much more enjoyable.  It seems obvious that they like what they do and also like to see other work being done.  I'm very happy with my decision to be tattooed by Aubrey at BodyTech.  Thank you so much, Girl! As a parent of a 16 year old daughter who is finding herself I am naturally worried about infections, and products used to do piercings.  The sales staff is very knowledgeable and patient with nervous customers. Once you get in the chair for your piercing they explain step by step what is going to happen and walk you through all the steps needed to take care of your piercing. I went in last night for a tattoo not really sure what to get, had an idea that i got off of Pintrest, after talking to one of the artists about the design i decided to let them design me something that would be just for me, my design, custom! the design was amazing! way more than i could have imagined could be done in tattooing. they got to me pretty quick considering i was just a walk in, they got the drawing ready while i waited and i even opted to get my navel pierced while waiting. Melissa is an AMAZING piercer BTW. The tattoo was done in a very clean atmosphere it was a great price, less than i expected and everyone was AWESOME. I went to body tech accross the street with a small, but reasonably doable, font size and the guy I talked to said it would be $100-150, and that the font would have to be about three times bigger due to "blending" of the letters. I went across the street to Addiction Tattoo and Piercing and they laughed when they heard what they said at Body Tech. They ended up doing it on my back, with the original size, for half the price. EXCELLENT artistry. I have had work done at the other FIVE STAR rated shop in G'ville. I like my tattoo from there. What makes BODYTECH different/BETTER is EVERYONE is friendly and helpful.
