Love my new Tat! I came in and was greeted with friendly faces and they made room for me and my friend the same day. I had a picture that should have been a back piece because of the detail but they helped me simplify it and shrink but still keeping the same look. Richard was great and I love the final result. Erik is the best artist I've met and I've been getting tattoos for 40 years.  Erik is not only the best artist I've known but he is also the most professional.  Make an appointment and he is there and ready.  The shop is super clean and fun.  Prices are reasonable.  But the most important part is Erik is an excellent artist.  Lots of BS shops out there and lots of BS tattooists  - this is for life so you want the very best and that is Erik. Going to Allan Buhl for my tattoo was the best decision I ever made!! Not only did my tattoo come out AMAZING...but the whole experience was great as well. Allan did not get annoyed when I was being overly difficult & picky and went back and forth a million times with certain small details, instead he patiently worked with me until I figured out what I wanted. He was extremely professional & I couldn't of chosen a better artist to work with. He also stayed late for me since it took longer then expected. Basically, he's awesome!! I thoroughly went through every tattoo studio's review pages in this area while on vacation..not wanting an "in the moment" tattoo off a wall... Vatican's reviews on fb,google,and yelp were amazing!!! We went it to check it out...every single artist here is amazingly talented...their artist books are awesome...every.single.one!!! Vatican is spotlessly clean...licences are posted...and honestly friendly great guys!! Went to this tattoo shop today for my boyfriends birthday and we both got tattoos. Chyloe was the artist that tatted us both up. He did an amazing job and was very friendly and quick as well, I would highly recommend this place to all of my friends and family. Steve the piercer is a professional, knowledgeable, and friendly guy. I had a really good experience with him. I gave his business card out to at least five other interested potential customers until this..I guess Instagram is a way Vatican markets and drums up new business through advertising their work. I was referred to it as my piercings were going to be added to their stream. As I looked through and admired some of the artists work I came across a piece done on a woman's pelvic bone/womb area. It was OK, but beneath it was some degrading comment, I assume made by the artist, "Fix that fupa today ladies!"Total turnoff, unprofessional, won't be going back there for any work whatsoever and the rest of those business cards went straight into the garbage. I absolutely love the tattoo Erik gave me, I've had in my mind for 4 years that I wanted this tattoo but I wanted to wait to find someone who could properly do it. Erik went above and beyond expectations. It's a cherry blossom chest piece with branch he custom drew it and I go back in for the color at the end of the month, the outline and the shading that he already did though is absolutely excellent. I've been getting compliments all day and it was only done yesterday. His shading and line work is top notch. I cannot wait to get the color. The work they do is without a doubt worth the price!His customer service attitude is also amazing, he knew I was a bit uncomfortable with the amount of skin that was showing in order to get the tattoo proper so he went the extra mile and brought out a privacy screen and everything. Just over 3 years ago I decided to get a large traditional japanese style tattoo. After searching many shops in south florida I was directed to Jeff Kozan at VT tattoo studio(vatican ). The shop was clean with lots of art on the walls. Jeff and I talked about designs and he felt he had a good idea of what I was looking for. I was totally blown away... it was far better then I imagined. That first piece developed over time to a full torso japanese suit. I have been getting tattooed there now 3 years. I have seen so much work going through the shop and I have been impressed by every artist there. They also do piercings of many types. Every member of the team is outstanding. best choice I ever made . This shop is clean, beautiful and worth every penny. I got my tattoo done by Allan and I could not be any more thankful for my amazing piece. after being tattooed by south Fl  worst underage shops at 17 I was desperate to find MY Artist...someone I could rely on to be 100% honest on what I was forever placing on my body. I arrived at the shop yesterday and came in with a simple beetle juice cartoon my artist Allan had the same excitement about the piece as I did and I knew it was ment to be. After I gave him a hard time of trying to decide on the placement of the tattoo he took each bit of my crazy with stride and delivered everything I wanted. He took his time, never tried to rush even though it was getting late. It hasn't even been a day and Im already itching to go back on his table I felt the need to create a YELP account to inform the world of this shop. Being in the service industry myself and  I know how hard it is to receive acknowledgment for your work . My friend who came with me had her Piece done by erik another amazing talent in south Florida, her piece was my Lydia matching my exact beetlejuice. V. T. Studios (Vatican Tattoo) is unlike any studio in Ft. Lauderdale. More like a real homey art gallery, I felt comfortable the minute I walked in. Maybe it was the soothing colors, the oriental rug, the comfy leather furniture or all the mirrors, but it had that open, inviting feel to the place. It is a custom tattoo studio, but typical tattoo designs were mounted on 2 small racks next to a pass thru window that opened from the waiting room onto the tattoo room where a movie was running on the 2 monitors. Bob runs reception and takes in appointments, but the magic is done by Jeff, Scott and Ian. I only wish I had some of the imagination these true artists showed when I tossed some tattoo designs at them. Each artist also has a photo portfolio of their work for customers to look thru. Their goal is to put on the best possible tattoo and one that proudly can be shown to friends and family. I can understand why they said that they are often called upon to "fix" a tattoo that was done someplace else. Consultation was free and the costs were what I consider to be quite reasonable. Walk-ins are welcome but those with appointments have priority. I looked in the mirror a short while ago and have an idea for my next tattoo.
