Came to this establishment for over 5 years for tattoos and piercings and referred over 10 people there because I never had any issues. Today was different. I called in about a touch up and explained why I wanted it and received so much attitude from the worker who answered the phone. He seemed confused about my description about the issue and as I was trying to clarify and he interrupted me and snapped on me. He was on speakerphone with me and my friend and we were shocked at this response and took our business elsewhere. I just had a beautiful tattoo done on Friday 11 of May, by Magic. I am so happy with it. he is a wonderful artist. As I walked home stopped in a few stores I received many compliments and told them who did it and where. Many said they would actually go there, they loved the work. What a wonderful experience we had at Las Olas Tattoo Company. Front desk was a breeze, price was more than fair, place was sparkling clean. But that's not what you want to know, right? This shop has a chill, peaceful vibe. We got our tattoos done by Magic and he was exceptional. His artistry was beautiful and execution flawless. Clean lines, great color. He really listened to what we were after then made it come to life. He made the experience fun, put my newbie sister totally at ease, and has a great personality to match his artistic talent. (And shout out to the other guy tattooing, who's name I didn't catch. I saw two of his tats in progress and at completion. Great lines, and he took his rather boisterous customers in stride.) I received a beautiful hand tattoo about a year ago. I'm not sure if the gentleman remembers but I did another Mary angel type memoir. I work in hotels and fine dining and people always ask for the man with the beautiful hand tattoo. I'd rather be known by my art then my name because it shows the passion tattoo artist put into their work. I have multiple of tattoos and this work is beautiful. Such. Could not say enough good about this place, and my tattoo artist, Magix! Actually went to a few others before this, and I'm so glad I didn't get my tattoo done anywhere else. It was clean and professional, and Magix was amazing. Magix made me feel super comfortable, and made sure my waves were exactly how I wanted. My friends and I were in Fort Lauderdale for vacation and talked about getting a tattoo for a while. We went to Babylon and felt very unwelcomed and got a bad vibe from them.. we found Las Olas and decided to check it out and felt at home! From the second we walked in, they talked us through the steps and made sure we were comfortable before they started. James did my friend and I's tattoo and was so patient and talked the whole time. He waited until we were relaxed to start then even contacted me minutes after I left to make sure I knew how to properly take care of it. He was amazing! Seamus pierced my friends belly button and went quick enough where she didn't really feel it...comforted her through the whole thing. So happy with my piercing! I got a triple lobe piercing from Elizabeth K. She's an apprentice at the shop and could not have been sweeter. Even though I do have multiple tattoos, I have a major needle phobia and a low pain tolerance lol. Her professionalism and the way she talked me through the process, totally calmed me down. I went on Friday 3/3/17 to get a tattoo with my friend. The place was nice, however, Mike refused to do my tattoo after I made a comment on my friend's tattoo. I wanted a change and he said I'm not tattooing you because  i wasn't going to be satisfied with the tattoo. I was excited and he ruined my night. Remind me never to go here again. The point of all is - I'm paying for the tattoo so I wanted it perfect. If you can't take criticism and give a paying client an attitude then Mike you're in the wrong business. Read Less

I've been in Florida for a few years and have yet to find an artist that compares to mine in Boston. Walked into Las Olas Tattoo for a simple nose ring change and came back the following week for some ink. I trusted Mike from the second I met him!! I found my Florida tattoo guy!! Recommended, 5 stars! A special thank you to Beth. I went in on her day off and she just happened to be in, and she gladly took me even though she wasn't even working. I was having a bad reaction to some of my ear piercings and she was able to make a suggestion on using stainless steel instead of gold. She sanitized everything twice, and changed my piercings with almost no pain - which was very impressive because they were already swollen from the skin to metal reaction I was having. Got tatted by Ryan Mallory - there are two Ryans in this shop. I got two small ones and went back two days later for a bigger piece. Ryan is a perfectionist and loved his life story. He is also quick and confident about his work. I'm very pleased with my experience that when I come visit Fort Lauderdale again, I'll definitely be back for more pieces. There was no wait time for me; there's also many options for body jewelry. I was looking for a 20g nose ring and they had all sizes but 20g unfortunately. I did get a 22g just to replace the one that I've had for a while. Nikita also tattooed two of my friends, and he's pretty awesome as well. If you get a tattoo by Ryan, you're visible to people walking in the shop. My two friends were tatted at the back of the shop. I found Ryan as I searched different artists in the South Florida area. If you are seeking an artist who has complete patience, confidence and attention to your desires, who has very observant suggestions to help you with your thoughts. I highly recommend you take the time to interview Ryan. I'm never in a hurry when it comes to adding art onto my original tribal tatt located on my upper right arm and shoulder which I had done a few years ago in the East Village of Manhattan by a well known artist. Ryan caught my attention with his calm display of confidence saying without a doubt he has the ability to continue the work on already existing art and making it look like it was done by the same artist. So, we began the work of discussing what would work and also setting up the date to get started. Finally, the day of the actual work came and Ryan set aside the allotted time to draw patiently, make necessary changes to my satisfaction and then put the ink on for good. At the end, I have to say I was completely impressed with the amazing results. The addition to the original had extended around the upper arm to my chest, my shoulder and onto my upper back area. Emily is insane. She has an amazing eye and keen attention to small detail. She's a perfectionist so she will take her time on you and make sure it comes out exactly how she saw it in her head. She's great because she has a moderate hand and won't DIG the needle into your skin. If you want wildlife, this is your girl!!! She can slay out anything from dragons to narwals and make it look like god came down and birthed it right on your skin. Show her a sketch of what you want and she'll somehow make it look even better than what you hoped for or dead on how you want it. She has unequivocally transcended the contemporary capabilities of modern and traditional artistry. Dare I say, her originality and completed work parallels Michelangelo himself. I live in the heart of Miami and will continue to travel to this location whenever work is needed. I've have had many artists complete work for me, but when any persons I come across in my life ask for a "good artist", I can only name one person.
