Holden has been an amazing tattoo artist. His uniqueness and attention to his detail on his work is out of this world. I'm in love with all of his work on my body. Mikey is pretty awesome! I've been in twice to see him, have gotten 3 tattoos by him, & have been more than happy with his work. Both times I had some sort of an idea of what I wanted, but ended up picking out something he had already drawn up because his designs are pretty great; it's definitely worth checking out his artwork. I haven't had any work done by any of the other artists, but I'm sure they are just as good as Mikey. I waited 40 years to get a sleeve and now I know why. I hadn't met Gigi yet. It must have been fate. She sat down with me to discuss my design idea (NOT in the middle of another tattoo client's time, by the way) and really listened to what I wanted. She has given me a one of a kind work of art that I get complimented daily on. She is an incredible artist and definitely worth every penny spent and then some. Just stopped in to take advantage of the Friday the 13th special and really dug the shop. I got a tattoo done by GiGi who was super chill and easy to talk to. The shop had a pretty small front area, which was kind of a pain for the amount of people in there, but it was a special event so I totally get it. Loved the atmosphere! It was like all the ladies and gents in the building were actual friends and seemed like they really loved working together, despite the massive amount of people rushing to get a $13 tattoo. I want to say thank you to the staff at Formula Ink. I had a great experience in the shop, everyone was professional and everything was clean and sanitary which is extremely important in this industry. My artist was Skinny Charlie, he was very thorough and gave me a design that exceeded my description. This is not my first tattoo and have been in many shops and would definitely recommend this place for the person getting their first tattoo or someone who has many and wants to find a new artist. I went there for the Friday the 13th tattoo special and normally I stick to one artist but I heard good things about this place and who could resist a Friday the 13 tattoo for 13 bucks? I went and got 13 in lighting bolts just to find out afterwards the 13 was tattooed backwards! I talked to the girls at the counter and other tattoo artist there and they had said " I thought we got rid of all the backward stencils!?" They alerted the artist who is apparently one of the owner...s and all he could responded " Well I thought that's what you wanted , I guess just come back and I'll cover it" . Why would I want a tattoo of a 13 backwards that looked like a E1 on my neck?! Your lack of concern or competence to tattoo a simple 13 on my neck made me never want you to lay a needle on me again. I just was able to get it covered and had to have a decent sized piece on my neck to fix what you have done to me. I would usually say you get what you pay for but what you put on me was not at all I asked for and it was as if you could careless about your clients. See More Read Less
