My friend and I stopped in last week while on vacation and decided to get our nipples pierced. We had been thinking about it for a while and finally decided to do it. Big mistake. We love this tattoo shop. Mark & Steve are amazing artists and the shop is perfect for bringing the kids along. Everyone is friendly and it's always a great time. I was a little disappointed that the owner rushed our artist for a huge tattoo that was expected to take quite a bit of time and we had to quit to reschedule finishing for another day although we paid for the hours we were using. I had my first Tattoo done at 40 by Buddha at Daytona Hardcore last summer. It is a beautiful piece a realistic puzzle piece torn from skin that gets a ton of compliments. My boyfriend and I walked in there this week pretty last minute and undecided. Well we couldn't have picked a better place to walk in to!! Our experience was phenomenal and the staff gave off such a good vibe. I got a tattoo of a rose on my side the size of a business card and payed $125 which in my opinion was very reasonable! My boyfriend got three letters and payed $60 so like I said very reasonable. We loved our tattoo artist Budda and will have to make the 14 hour trek back to Daytona for another tattoo. The tattoo artist I've been going to for years at Beyond Ink Tattoos, named Tim Mitchell, had his designs stolen from this place. Tim did pulse tattoos cause we're in Orlando for 20$ and it was just a simple flash page. Daytona hardcore literally took that page, reposted it, and said they would do the same. BUT for 40$-80$. My boyfriend got a tattoo there first and Mike did a really good job, so I went there a month later to get my first tattoo. Dem did mine, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. He was clean, easy to talk to, and made my first experience of getting a tattoo a great one. The girl up front was extremely unprofessional, the outside is sketchy and the shop minimum is $60 - should have known after those signs that I would have a bad experience and extremely overpriced for what I got. The artist that did my tattoo was a nice guy however when I called because I expressed concern about how fast it was fading, I was told that they don't touch up hand/finger tattoos and abruptly hung up the phone. I cannot speak to the qaulity of their work, but as a business they seem to rip you off. You can go at your own risk:I from out of town, my sister and came to the location off A1A, after a few drinks for Cinco De Maya across the street  and waited for our lyft ride. Walked into the shop to look and was pressed to sign up for an appointment. Ride showed up and i went to car and my sister informed me she made the appointment and they asked for a deposit.  Jasmin booked my sister for an appointment for the next day. When i called to cancel the appointment due to the fact it was made while under the influence, i was told that it was non refundable.  Nice.  I never heard that but Jasmine insists that the paperwork that my sister signed had it on there and i also recall my sister saying 50 not 60 for the deposit.The kicker, Jasmine was matter of fact and didn't care when I said i will never go here for work. i guess it's this tatto shop's MO to have drunk people sign , pay a deposit without making it verbally clear that it was non refundable and have no issue taking money for not doing anything but take advantage of people. Impressed from start to finish. Location was nice. Lots of artwork throughout to browse, and large variety of jewelry to choose from as well. Employees were friendly, experienced, and talkative. Only "con" would be that they don't actually do piercing and tattoos at the location on the beach so you'll have to drive/take a shuttle provided to other location to have work done. I originally walked into the beachside location. As a new daytona residence, imagine my surprise when the cashier told me they have to send me to the mainland shop. I was a little nervous but I was game. I walked in got helped right away and then listened to the friendly banter between the staff and clientele. Chris Simon did my tattoo. I love it. THIS PLACE SUCKS HARDCORE!!I feel this company deserves zero stars but unfortunately I am prompted to give them at least one.I got half of my tattoo done there and they fired the guy who did my tattoo....he was going to finish it at a different time for nothing being that I had already paid for the tattoo. But when I spoke to Josh on the phone about it he told me I would have to pay to have it finished even though I explained it was already paid for. He then proceeded to compare it to an automobile shop. Saying that if the mechanic who originally was working on the car quit I would have to pay another mechanic at the same company to fix the vehicle even if I had paid the business to fix the car in the first place. The fact that I had already paid hardcore tattoo for my unfinished tattoo and that they wouldnt honor that is not how to properly run a business. I even told him I would tip the other tattoo artist greatly and he still refused. Not only was he rude but he was completely unaware of how to run a company and inadequate on how to keep a customer happy. I will never go back there again and I will also inform any one and everyone I know not to waste their time going to this place. This was a complete inconvenience and a total Disappointment. I have six tattoos and this is by far the most horribly run tattoo shop I've ever witnessed. Read Less

I have had a cover up done by Paul this past March during bike week in Daytona. My husband and multiple pieces, but these were our first at Hardcore....We won't go anywhere else. Paul did th most beautiful cover up on my back. It was EXACTLY what I wanted, I could have sat there all day and let him work on my back! Only thing is now I want his work done on the other side of my back to match what he has arealdy done. Biketoberfest is coming..and honestyl...this year the only reason we will be going is if we can get into the shop on that Saturday to get more work....and I am praying that Paul will be available to do my next piece....known many tattooist's....sorry nobody matches his work....:) Read Less

I have ALWAYS had my tatts done through friends, word of mouth or shops that are "suppose to be number one around" I have lived here 20 years. I have seen some really sad work come out of those very same places...so to keep it short and sweet people...HARdCORE is the cleanest,most experienced, and most willing to take time to NAIL the piece you've been waiting to get and dying to have...ANY artiist in there will blow ur mind with their ideas skills and end result!!! Tattoos are FOREVER!!! So take a minute, and stop by there. If you can't, at least research a little...I am now having to go to HARDCORE for two cover ups that I totally got in the wrong shop! P.S. You know, I cannot stand any more of these people bashing this place. First off, the people claiming drinking in the back or "next door"..The "next door" doesn't open until 2 am. So, that puts the kibosh on that. In the back? Really? come on. Also, the comment on the "ex-con who hires ex-cons" Whatever happened to a person paying their debts to society? I guess if they messed up they would want that held in their face for the rest of their lives. The person who was caught holding up a 711 is NO LONGER working there nor will he be coming back. This place gives QUALITY Tattoos for INCREDIBLE prices. You cannot find places like this from where I am from up north for the prices and work you get. People bring in all kinds of crap that they think is great. And the artists like to work WITH you on making your piece amazing. I have never gone against what an artist has suggested and if I didn't like what they were suggesting or didn't want to do what I wanted, I would simply leave. This is America After-all. Amazing artists. The only down falls of the shop is they charge you an arm and a leg and then you only get an hours worth of work. Was not happy that every time he sat down to do work he was up and doing other dumb stuff. A 8 hour tattoo got pushed into 12 1/2 hours. total bull-crap. The shop does not work with you about your tattoo either. They want what they want on you not, what you want. You bring in an original design, and I guarantee that isn't what is getting tattooed on your body. Its a sad thing. On their breaks from tattooing, they are usually drinking in the back or next door. The owner is an ex-con who hires ex-cons and he owns the bar next door to pedal dope. The piercer just got arrested for pulling a knife on the 7-11 guy last week. Make sure your not there the next time the cops come calling, they could think your part of the questionable activity that goes on there. I see a lot of this all the time, and while I know it is all in the name of marketing, reviews written by owners and employees are not only deceiving the public, it breaks trust right off the bat. It is a good idea, if you are going to pose as a happy customer not to use the account that has the shop name in it or use language only a shop owner, employee or wife would use. I mean, toot your own horn all day, but be honest about it! Own it! There is no shame in that. But there is shame in pretending to be something or someone you are not in order to fool customers. So when I finally went there, they definitely lived up to the hype. They've got like six of the best tattoo artists I've ever seen, and everything they do, they draw from scratch. I just had an idea in my head, and within minutes they drew it up. It was exactly what I wanted, nobody else in the world is going to have my design. For a while, I really missed the good old days of getting what you pay for,and more than that,not buying a pig in the poke,so to speak. Daytona Hardcore Tattoo is not only one of the cleanest shops I've ever been in,(and as an avid tattoo collector I've been in alot) but all the work is professionally displayed in a clean portfolio format.Clearly you would have to be a dummy to not recognize that the work is some of the cleanest work around anywhere. No high pressure sales tactics and a lot of technical double talk, but a sells itself quality by people who have tattoos, as well as the knowhow to put one on.The thing that sold me on the shop was seeing a variety of custom work that came from this shop, and I'm not talkin about pick it from the wall stuff. A real unique range in styles,from old school to new.The price you're givin is the price you pay,and the artist to client attention as well as the laid back atmosphere put me right at ease. My tat was alomost healed in less than a week, cause they took the time to explain the right way to take care of it, and the after care instructions are also givin on a card in a very clear straight forward easy to understand format, in english to I might add.
