OVERPRICED and SHITTY work. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My friend and I showed up for a couple simple small tattoos. We were each getting a simple outline of a heart on our fingers and three tiny dots on another finger. We were both put with the same artist, and I went first. He put the heart stencil on and started to tattoo, I could immediately tell that the outline wasn't straight, but I didn't realize how bad it was until we left. He then tried to draw on the dots, without centering them with my finger or anything.. just eyeballing it. I asked him if I could draw them on and he immediately became pissed off, threw himself back in his chair, and said  something along the lines of "why do you girls always want these dumb ass tattoos that look like shit." I obviously wasn't going to let him touch me with the tattoo gun after that so I said never mind "mind you we have already prepaid" and he said "You don't want it or you realized it was a dumb idea?" My friend was up next and she also only got the heart after seeing how he acted about the dots. Hers was even worse. He wiped our tattoos off with a paper towel, no ointment, plastic wrap (which is pretty standard as I've had that done with every tattoo I've had.) As soon as we got in the car I called the shop and told them not only how appalling the treatment by the artist was, but how terrible our tattoos were and that we were going to need to get them fixed. The receptionist said she would talk to the owners and get back to us. About 20 min later someone called back and said that they wouldn't refund us, but next time we're in town we could stop by and they would have another artist "try to fix them." The right side of my tattoo has completely bled and the left side has almost no ink (see picture below). I went to this place for a double helix piercing. The piercer was a bit rude to my gf who was just asking a simple a question. He pierced me and placed 2 studs with butterfly backs on them. The piercings were so tight on my ear, that there was no room for swelling/ or cleaning after care. My ear was throbbing and completely bruised. I've been here two separate times. The first time was with my best friend and we got nose piercings. The piercer did an awesome job. I use to have my nose pierced prior but I got sick one time and it closed up. I'm glad I went here instead of the other place that I had went to for the first time I got my nose pierced. The second time was for my watercolor dolphin tattoo. My mother had passed away and she loved dolphins and this dolphin had just screamed her to me. My daughter wanted a tattoo for her 18th birthday so she, my son, and myself decided to go together and get them.  She researched tattoo parlors and decided on Jet Set Tattoos and Piercings.  All of their Instagram photos look great, reviews are great, and we were excited.  I've never been so disappointed in something in my whole life.  We picked out very simple tattoos with minimal details - arrows.  Basic arrows with minimal details.  First off, I know tattoos are expensive but I honestly feel like I was robbed.  I paid $310 for these tattoos.  One of my arrows is crooked and they both bled ink into surrounding tissue.  We followed aftercare instructions and even bought the suggested aftercare cream.  This happened on all of our tats.  So disappointed!  We look like we have prison tats.  So, thanks for that. I went in to get some piercings done and Dollie was amazing! She was recommended to me through a friend and it was worth the drive from Ormond. I was very skeptical with the pricing of my ear piercings I got but after meeting the two ladies which I forgot the one ladies’ name that drove us in the shuttle but the other one that did my sister’s and I’s piercings, Dollie, She was absolutely amazing! My husband my son and I were all traveling to Daytona Beach and we decided to stop and get a spur of the moment piercing... we walked in place was clean and nice we decided to go through with it. We signed all the paperwork and what not and then the worker said ok we have to shuttle 2 1/2 miles down the road. It was fine but the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because we didn't know about that first and it was kind of Sprung on us after everything was signed. I know what its like to be so disappointed with a new tattoo, but I've never known what its like to be in love with one...at least until now. The amazingly talented, Michael was the artist who tattooed me. I showed him one picture for reference, and he knew right away what I wanted. Not only did he flawlessly tattoo what I wanted, but he also got the placement, size and shading exactly right. My boyfriend and I went in on our vacation to get tattoos. He had stopped in earlier that day and discussed with them what he wanted, they made an appointment right then and there, and got us in the next day. He also told him I was coming with him and wanted an arrow. He wanted his owl outline filled in on his calf which turned out amazing! My friend and I had a less than stellar experience here. She got a few ear piercings from the piercer and we had no issues with his skill. However, we spoke to one of the tattoo artists about getting a few kind of matching tattoos. He was uninterested in our ideas and was basically ignoring what he wanted. He kept telling us that we wouldn't be able to do what we were asking and still have them look detailed. However, we ended up getting our tattoos at a different place in town and they gave us exactly what we wanted. At jet set we felt as though the artist was condescending and judgmental, which isn't really what you want from someone permanently altering your skin. He said he would draw us up a sketch and get back to us later in the day. We asked how long it would take and he said "well I'm not going to rush it". At the other place it took ten minutes to draw them and less than an hour to tattoo both of us. We didn't get a call back from jetset until the next afternoon. My Aunts all got their first tattoo at this shop years ago so because it was nice back then we decided to go back for more tats. There were 6 of us wanting something done tonight so we went. It was about 10:30 and they are suppose to close at midnight but the guy at the counter was extremely rude and said "well since it was slow we were going to close at 11pm but that's fine what do you want." So although frustrated with his attitude we decided to still go ahead and we showed him what each person wanted. 3 out of 6 he just said nope that can't be done because blah blah blah even though we showed him photos of actual people with the tattoo. Then the other 3 he quoted a ridiculous price. We got fed up and left and ended up going about half a mile away to another shop who were happy to do exactly what we wanted! You guys lost out on about $1000 worth of business because of your counter guys attitude and unprofessionalism. I would suggest finding someone else to represent your company. Read Less

Watched my daughter get her nose pierced a few years ago at another location in New England and didn't like their process. I really wanted my nose pierced though and while on vacation in Daytona I did some research about the best place to go for piercings. Found Ken at Jet Set Tattoo and Piercing to be highly recommended. So, I just went for it. Their store is very clean, follows all of the Florida regulations and was absolutely wonderful in answering my questions. It took much longer to do the paperwork and pay than it did to get the piercing. I have had no issues whatsoever with this piercing. My next trip....I'm getting a tattoo from this location. Wish I could've​ expirenced the people I read good reviews about, but the lady I had to deal with was just downright rude. She came and asked what I was in for and I said "A piercing, but I'm not sure..." Then she just said "Well you want one or you don't." Then walked away...Anyway I made my decision on an industrial bar piercing, then was told about the buy one get one free deal on piercings they were having so I chose another one...only to be told they were counting the i...ndustrial as two completely separate piercings and they wanted me to pay even more for the one I chose as my free piercing, they also wanted to charge me the 5.99 needle fee three times...I know that the industrial is two piercings but I have never in my life had anyone try to charge me twice for a piercing set, it's usually one solid price. Went in and got my tounge pierced by Ken (Monkey) last night and I gotta tell ya, he was awesome! I was a little nervous to get it done because I had it done when I was 18, but took it out at 23. Now I'm 32 and thought it would hurt worse due to scar tissue. Not only was he able to go thru the same hole from before but it barely hurt and went super quick! From the time I walked in to the time I walked out was maybe 20 mins! He was very informative, talked me thru the whole process and made me feel comfortable and less nervous! I went to Ken for my high nostril piercings. He is gentle and quick with the needle and he took the time to make sure that my piercings were done properly. Walked into this shop without ever having met anyone here. It was a breeze to start the tattooing process! The staff was incredibly professional and worked with my request accordingly. Aftercare products are provided in a bundle for $20 BEFORE you get your tattoo, which most places don't do. My artist, Rob, put together his equipment in front of me, and everything was sterile. Before beginning, he made sure I was ready and we communicated my desires once more. If you are considering ink while in Daytona, at least stop in for a consult. I decided to change my design a little before my appointment and sent them an email. They confirmed they received the email and made sure they had everything right. Well all i have to say is this place has the best customer service. For once in my life i enjoyed getting my tattoo done it was a very safe and clean feeling when i was there. The artist made me feel comfortable and not pressured i was visiting from outta town with my girlfriend and family and we all checked around the daytona beach area and noticed it was the largest cleanest sterile shop ive seen in a while i would recomend it to any family or just person who is interseted in adding or getting there first tattoo or piercing. I must take a moment to warn everyone--piercing and tattoo enthusiasts alike--that this place is solely out to take as much money from you as they can. They tell the people they hire that they must get as much money out of a tattoo as they can. Their tattoos are at best mediocre, and ridiculously overpriced for the quality. Stay away from the israeli owner and also the israeli tattoo artist there. They are the shadiest individuals known to the human race and are all about ""screwing the gentile"" out of their money. And especially, stay away from getting pierced there. The israeli owner will gladly (illegally) pierce your 13 year old daughter, because your money is more important than her safety, and they regularly gamble the reputation of the shop to get to your wallet. Also, that israeli owner will likely pierce her crooked also. The other piercer that is there, the young guy with the facial hair, has only a modicum more of self respect, in that he won't pierce anyone underage, but he is also a novice piercer. While acting like the baddest dude on the block because he's wielding a piercing needle. Seriously, it's a small miracle they are still in business and haven't been shut down by the health department. Save your money and go to Shamrock where you will at least encounter individuals with a soul who aren't just about draining your wallet and possibly exposing you to hepatitis. Read Less

My wife and I travel to Daytona every year and we are tattoo enthusiasts. I have tattoos all over my back and arms and she has her ankles, feet and wrists tattooed. We've been coming down to Florida for the past 5 years and every year we go to Jet Set for our tattoos. They know us by name, treat us like family. It's like visiting relatives to go into this shop and we always enjoy our time there. Our tattoos are beautiful and my kids always love the henna tattoos they get when we go.
