I recently had the opportunity to begin having a tattoo done by Christa and I feel very fortunate to have stumbled upon this shop. As soon as you enter the business you know your in for a different experience then most other tattoo parlors. The walls are adorned with amazing works of art and showcases the talents of the artist working there. Christa was amazing, she kept me informed while she was designing the tattoo, and gave me her honest opinion about my cover up and my design idea. The day of my appointment, she made me feel at ease and was very easy to talk to throughout my appointment which seemed to fly by. Her husband Frank came over and introduced himself and they both made me feel very welcomed. The pricing is very fair with the quality of the work, the effort into the tattoo and the way that the client is treated. I could not recommend this shop or Christa more. Just got another tattoo from Into The Woods about two weeks ago -first time working with Tucker. He was very accommodating and wiling to create something unique for me based on some photos I took from a trip to Cambodia, and wanted a tattoo on my arm that looked like the photo -Tucker was enthusiastic from the start to do the project and was very creative and his final design was/is awesome. He superseded my expectations with his own unique style and design while staying true to the essence of my idea and the photograph. He is one of the best. Ok, let's see... my girlfriend and her best friend went in to get matching tattoos for my girl's birthday,  they were scheduled with Johnny for both tattoos,  however,  when Johnny finished the first tattoo he suddenly lost interest in doing the 2nd oone,  other people kept walking in and it seems Johnny was more interested in hanging out shooting the s*** with them instead of finishing the job he was hired and scheduled to do! So I just finished what was my second out of 3 sessions to cover the first half of the worst tattoo you ever saw!!  I walked around with that for years until I met Joe at into the woods. Just took the wrap off and it is nothing short of AMAZING!!I only write reviews if someplace is off the chart awesome or absolutely terrible and Joe and into the Woods deserve every bit of 5 stars!  I only with I could give them 10!While I was there they were planning an art show so the staff was really busy but they still were attentive to me like when my food came!!Of course Katie was there to greet with her usual smile and of course thrilled to see me!  Charles the manager also swung by and made sure there was nothing I needed and kept checking on me during my several hours in the chair!I can not recommend this shop highly enough to anyone from the simplest to the most complex design!  I am already planning what's next!Thank you Joe and all he team at into the woods!I am a regular Crossfit junkie and most of the people there are pretty well tatted up with some of this best skin art you'll ever see. Don't ask me why but it just seems to be so. One of the guys there had some amazing art and we talked after class and told me it was a cover up and showed me a pic of what was there. Nothing short of amazing!I had a nightmare of a tattoo where the "artist" ground black into my arm and I honestly looked like a burn victim!!  I wandered around for years where I was told no one would touch it  so after the referral from Paul went to into the woods and met with Joe. From he moment I walked in I felt like I was in one of the nicest studios ever and Katie is there to greet you with a smile!  Joe looked at my arm and told me I can do something amazing instead of "I can't help you". He took some pictures and when I made my first appointment showed me what he had on the iPad. It was so cool how he explained the lining and color layer process and after my first sitting (where it's nowhere close to done) it already looks like a new tattoo!  I couldn't be more satisfied with his work and attention to detail and the science of skin art. I cannot wait for my next session. While I was there for 6 hours I saw the work of a couple other artists and they are all nothing short of amazing. By far the best place to get tattooed , i stumbled onto this amazing shop and am still amazed with the different types of artwork on the wall , youll always be greeted with a warm welcome from the manager (charles). I kept in touch with Tucker via email about a Father Time piece I wanted to get. My best friend and I were vacationing in Florida and decided to get tattoos. The whole experience was awesome. Charles was so helpful and friendly in planning our appointment. We sent them a picture of what we wanted and when we arrived for our appointment it was sketched with a couple different size options. The studio is amazingly beautiful and clean. I went to Into The Woods on Mother's Day to get a tattoo I had been wanting for almost 2 years, a symbol from a comic series. I had seen the artist portfolios on their websites and was impressed with what I saw, so I figured a tattoo of a symbol made of two letters would be no problem. I went in, and Josh Tucker drew up the stencil. It was exactly what I wanted, simple with a hint of color. As it healed over the next few days, I started to see how poor the tattoo was. The lines were shaky, the letters were uneven. I sent a picture to Josh and told him I was unhappy. He agreed that the tattoo looked choppy. He offered to correct these issues and made me an appointment. I went in for my touch up appointment and he told me he was going to clean up the lines and fix the color. It's been a week since it was touched up and it looks very bad. I have scarring on it. I have multiple tattoos, including a large cover up tattoo on my back, and a tattoo which has been worked on multiple times on my opposite wrist. None of my other tattoos have scarring. The line work is still shaky and crooked looking. I hate to say it, but I am very unhappy with this tattoo. I don't even know if it can really be fixed, and might end up having to have it covered up. For a $100 little wrist tattoo done in a reputable shop, it looks like a kitchen tattoo... I won't be going back. Read Less

Daniel was our tattoo artist and I can not say enough about how great he is. He talked to us about what we wanted, helped us decide on an appropriate size for where we wanted our tattoo, was super clean and careful with his preparation, and had an easy hand. The experience was great, my tattoo looks great, and he was so kind as well! I have had numerous amounts of compliments on my tattoo since! Into the woods gallery has rescued me from the likes of crappy tattoo shops splattered all across florida.....this place is the truth with nothing but top notch custom artists all rolling out breath taking original custom pieces of art. The shop or should I say gallery is located on the north side of Dania beach and is cleaner then a brand new car. Everything from setting the appointment to aftercare is absolutely pain free.....except for the ink of course. The place doesn't have flashy colors, crappy music, and it's nothing like any other tatoo place I've ever been to. They have a water color specialist, and when I get enough money I'm going back to get more. Very professional, these people really know what they're doing. It's pricey, but do you want to pay for something cheap and get it infected or have a crappy job done? The money is worth the talent these guys have. HIGHLY recommended to anyone wanting work done. Watercolor tattoo done by Jo Mele (soon to be relocated primarily at their upcoming second location in Stuart, FL). Start to finish took an hour and a half. Love that they custom draw every tattoo so each one is an original piece. Joseph worked with my preferences on tweaking anything from his initial drawing (done digitally on an iPad). Super friendly and chill staff, including owner Frank. Absolutely adored the receptionist(?) Charles; great customer service over the phone as well as in person. Professional yet relaxed environment, the perfect balance. Bit pricey but quality is what you pay for. Did have to wait about a half hour for an important phone call they had to take but nonetheless fine. Will definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again. Read Less

Christa has been very patient with me over the years, and she is a bad-ass tattoo artist. The new location is super awesome featuring paintings from artist in the area. It is very clean, and I love the setup. I learned a lot about tattoos from being around Christa. You basically get what you pay for. Into the Woods has high caliber tattoo artists that are serious and passionate about their work. It is not a hole-in-the-wall tattoo joint; it is a sophisticated parlor that is operated like the serious establishment that it is. Come in understanding that, and throw away whatever preconceived notion you may have about tattoo shops in general.  I have plenty of tattoos, and had a couple of hangups before meeting Christa. I'm so thankful I found Into The Woods. It's rare to find a local great tattoo shop but none that merits 5 stars. I accidentally stumbled upon this gem and I'm certainly glad I did. I walked in and first I was amazed at the space. It's large, clean and the walls are enamored with amazing art work. The art work changes on occasion but I was made aware that they have art shows often considering it's an art gallery. The staff here is truly one of a kind. I've never experienced such great customer service at a tattoo parlor but everyone here was accommodating, friendly and not to mention the manager is hysterical! The tattoo areas were very clean and you can tell the artists take pride in their work. My tattoo artist Evan went through every aspect of my tattoo size, placement and aftercare. If you want anything more than a word on your finger or butterfly on your butt, I HIGHLY suggest you invest your money on ink here!I had a couple of tattoos done before but this place left me floored. The quality of work they do here is top notch. Yes, it is expensive comparably but trust me you get what you pay for. I got an absolutely beautifully detailed cover up piece done by Joe Casal a few months ago and it still looks incredible fully healed.
