The boo and I decided to get matching tattoos for my birthday while down in Clearwater and my best friend was ready to get her first tattoo so I wanted to find a good place for us. After a google and Yelp search and reading many reviews, I decided on Foolish Pride 2 and Victor because his line work looked the best for what we wanted to get.I actually hit up Victor on his IG the day before (which was a Monday, so they were closed) and he actually responded! He was super friendly, explained all the policies behind booking an appointment, pricing and walk- in clients. I sent him a photo of what we were looking to get and he gave me a very reasonable price range for what he could see online.When we got to the shop, it's not like a normal tattoo shop that I've been used to with drawings all over the walls and large pictures where you can 'pick what you want' from a collection of tattoos. The receptionist was sweet and greeted us with a smile and it was almost like Victor was expecting us. He was very meticulous and definitely not heavy handed. He offered his professional opinion for the tattoos and still followed our requests. He lightened the mood by holding good convos with us during the processes and although this wasn't my first, he still took time to explain aftercare. My best friend got ger first tattoo and Victor made it especially easy on her. He gave her all the good and bad info about getting a tattoo and took very good care with her during the process. He guarantees his work so if anything happens, he will fix it and if I lived here, he would be the number 1 person I'd go to. Thanks Victor!!

My best friend and I went to get spontaneous tattoos and we chose this place! It was absolutely perfect! The receptionist Emily was the sweetest and was very helpful to answer any and all questions and process my paper work quickly! She sent us to one of their great artists who's name I can't remember, he was a little quiet at first but he warmed up to us as soon as he started the tattooing process. He created the most beautiful recreation of the flower set I wanted but with his own additions that I am completely in love with! He made the process quick and afterwards he treated it right away after some quick pictures. Lastly he gave us his most expensive price of $250 and only took cash so we ran to the atm to pull out $300 and the total came out to $180! He was such a sweetie! I greatly appreciate their service here and Emily and my tattoo artist especially for their kindness and hard work! I would 100% recommend this tattoo shop for your tattoos!

When you call to make an appointment over the phone they will tell you it's better off just to come in person for walk in (first come, first serve) Then when you show up the ladies behind the desk (the main female receptionist, same voice who answered the phone) Will tell you it's better to make appointments and everyone is book due to there only being 2 artist who seem to be there at all times. (On the 6-8 times I've gone in) This has happened on numerous occasions.. Very inconsistent, also they have high prices for just line work of 1hour time I was looking at $300 for the size of my palm in line work. (Normal lines) No shading/ no coloring just line work. $300 for 1hour. Even when the artist told me $125 was his hourly and $300 was for the quality of the line work he does "ok dude" They basically walk you, even when they have an artist there.. instead of taking $ and doing some shading they'll tell you some staggering high price or tell you to wait for another artist to do the work because A.They don't want to do it or B. They just don't care. I'll never be going back

So you are reading reviews to see if this is the place for your first or next tattoo? Well if I was you I would book my appointment asap with Emily Elegado. I feel sad for the couple of reviews who got bent because they didn't have an appointment. I have a bad tattoo from the place down the street and Emily is actually going to fix it next and I can't wait. To date, Emily has completed three tattoos and I couldn't be happier. The last tattoo I waited till the end to see it and it actually gave me chills how perfect it was. The only downfall is it is on the back of my arm and I have to look in the mirror to see it. My choice for location. Emily is also very good at placing your new tattoo in the area you want! I can't say enough about her professionalism and skills. All my tattoos from Emily have healed nicely and look amazing. So book your appointment because good things come to those who can wait. Or go down the street and come back to Emily and maybe she can fix.

Carlos was my tattoo artist and honestly it was the best experience I had getting a tattoo. I came in to cover up a botch stick and poke job that consisted of lettering to cover, he kindly explained that he could do it but it wouldn't necessarily turn out good due to parts sticking out after this instead of just turning me down (prior to coming into foolish pride I had a horrible experience at another tattoo shop, calling me stupid for trying to cover letters with letters) he suggested something more organic to cover it, I ended up getting my cat tattooed on my wrist, none of the lettering was sticking out and it's by for my FAVORITE tattoo, great experience, was so kind, great conversation, clean shop, everyone in there again was SO nice.

Brought my son here for a tattoo while we were on vacation in Florida. We saw all the positive yelp reviews and that's why we picked this place. I can see why they were all positive. Most important the tattoo came out AMAZING. The lines were so clean and neat and the tattoo was clear and perfect. The place was so clean and everyone who worked there was great. I believe the guy who tattooed my son was Carlos. We will definitely be returning when we are back in the area. Great place, highly recommend.

They're very knowledgeable, I'd recommend listening to any suggestions or ideas they might have. Carlos did my tattoo and did way better than I could've imagined. He's really good with skulls, flowers, and Japanese style art. They also have vegan ink, that's important to some people.

My Husband and I were visiting from Ohio and we like to check out tattoo shops when we go to different states. We walked into Foolish Pride and first I have to say before speaking to anyone it is by far the cleanest and nicest shop we have ever seen. (and we have been to over hundreds of shops even just to look). I was amazed that it looked cleaner than my own home:) The staff were very friendly and even gave me very good advice. Frank did both of our tattoos and he was so down to earth and made us feel very comfortable. Also the owner was very welcoming and helped us out alot too. We come here a few times a year and we will be back every time to finish our sleeves. I cannot wait to come back when we are back in Florida around Christmas.

This studio and its staff is nothing short of amazing. I came in for a simple tattoo of my Son’s ekg heartbeat line. Keith worked with me on the size and the section that would look the best. He saw my vision.. I am an over thinker and let me just tell you, that he never once got aggravated with me he just continued to make it smaller, bigger until I was happy. He never forced his opinion on me, his goal was for me to walk out of here saying wow! I love it. The line is clean, he has soft, steady hands and it was quick & that is exactly what happened. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Ok let me pencil him in. NEXT! We gave up on these unprofessional frauds and got ink right down the street.

Great vibes! My husband and I were discussing our matching roman numeral ring finger tats for like a year but always kept pushing it off. We had a shop in mind but unfortunately for them, they were closed. So Google came to the rescue and I found Foolish Pride 2 and looked at portfolios and was sold. Drove up and after good advice and some thought, Carlos gave us exactly what we wanted. Nice clean open spaced shop with great tunes playing. Will definitely keep them in mind for next tattoo!

My girlfriend and I stayed in Clearwater for vacation and decided to each get a small tattoo done, that were spur of the moment. Mind you these are not our first tattoos and we have dealt with several other shops before. Based on other reviews, we decided to give them a shot. With that said, the staff was quiet and not very friendly. Perhaps we got them on a bad day, but they did not seem to want to talk with us or help us. We got our tattoos anyways, and they came out how we wanted and were done quickly and professionally. They may be good at what they do, but they do not interact well with you. We felt a bit uncomfortable being in there. Based on all of this, we gave them 2 stars.

I came in after reading reviews on tons of tattoo shops in the area. I'm visiting from D.C. and wanted to get something does while I was down here. Spoke with Josh Fields and immediately knew I wanted him to be my artist. We sat for a while and bounced ideas of each other. Once I made a decision (I'm a Libra) it was time. He was also able to fix a tattoo I had done a while ago that I thought was unfixably terrible. The vibe at this shop is great. Super clean and everyone was so friendly!! If you are looking for a tattoo in the area, I HIGHLY recommend Josh and Foolish Pride Tattoo 2!!! Great work and thanks again Josh!!!!

Carlos did an amazing job on my mom and I's matching tattoos. He was super helpful and super nice throughout the process. He took the time to make sure the tattoo looked the way we wanted and also that it had the right placement. He also made us feel comfortable with how clean he kept everything and allowed us to see that everything that was used was sterile. I would definitely recommend not only Carlos but the shop in general. Thanks again!

Absolutely incredible experience! First tattoo and I did my homework and found Joshua Fields. First exchange with him over email with my tattoo idea was great and he was super excited to tattoo it. Walking into the shop, super laid back atmosphere and staff is friendly! Joshua listened to my idea and gave me great advice so that I'd love my tattoo for a lifetime! The tattoo process was not painful at all he was super gentle and talked me through it. All in all I would recommend this place and Joshua Fields to anyone and I will be back!

What a great experience! I wish there were more than 5 stars for me to give to JD McGowan, he is absolutely incredible. From the consultation, to the actual sitting, it was superb. JD is professional, creative, and has a lot of great insight about his craft. He made my son, who has sensory processing issues, more than comfortable during the whole tattooing process. He's down to earth, funny, and well worth a drive from wherever you may live. Class act all the way! Clean shop, friendly staff, overall awesome experience. We'll be back JD, thank you again!

Foolish Pride 2 off Gulf to Bay and Lake. Is a nice , clean shop. I Had stopped in a couple times. Decided to Stop in on Saturday afternoon. The shop wasn't to busy and I was greeted upon entering. Emily introduced herself to me and a brief consult later. We had a design idea. The price was great and she was fast . The whole experience was pleasant. I will return to foolish pride for future ink. There are several good artist available. Parking is kinda tight. Defiantly recommend parking around back.

I've had 3 sessions at FP2 with JD, this place is the best shop in town. It's clean,the staff is friendly and they all love what they do. JD's talent is crazy. I came in with a piece that was 10+ years old and done by 3 different artists. Needless to say it didn't completely line up, it was jagged and jacked in some areas. I told JD what I was looking to do and he not only added in what I wanted to finish the piece, he fixed all of the other mistakes made along the road. JD is friendly dude with a good attitude and incredible talent. Go see JD if you're looking to get some ink work done. I'll be back soon with some more ideas...

It's always tough to do a review on a place of business like a tattoo shop...so it's base mostly on the tattoo artist...I can say that this location is very clean, the tattoo artist I've encountered were nice and professional. JD was my artist (he is amazingly good) he is a true artist; he listens to you and your vision of what you want for your tattoo. His work is truly incredibly detailed and priced very fairly; he is quick, professional, and very personable. I definitely would recommend him to anyone. He made me very aware of the sterilization necessary to not spread bacteria and disease- and going to a licensed ink shop, such as Foolish Pride 2 Tattoos. Friendly reminder: Putting life into a blank canvas, i.e. your skin, make sure it is something meaningful because it will be on you forever. Art is ART!!! Whether it is on canvas or skin- it is objective, not subjective.... So don t let anyone dictate to you what you can or cannot put on your own body!

I wish I could give more stars - Emily Elegado is the best of the best. 'To start - She is one of the nicest and understanding artists I've met in my life. SO genuinely sweet and really cared about my tattoo. She had even planned ahead where she was going to shade which was SO impressive to me. I have 7 tattoos and have never seen an artist care so much in my life. Her application and technique was flawless, barely experienced any pain and it is healing wonderfully. When I took off my bandage I almost cried tears of joy I was so happy.I'm rambling, but moral of the story is - If you're looking to get a quality tattoo GO TO EMILY AT FOOLISH PRIDE! You will NOT be disappointed!

Got some ink done today by Emily Elegado here at Foolish pride 2. The shop is great. Very clean and inviting staff. Emily stopped by the shop on her day off to meet with me and discuss the design so that she would have time to conceptualize and sketch something out over the two days before our appointment. She is very experienced, light handed, and creative; offering advice and artistic recommendations both before and during the session to ensure we were both going to be happy with the finished artwork. She takes pride in her work and they run an extraordinary tattoo shop in the Clearwater area. I will definitely go back to Emily and Foolish Pride for any future design and work to be done. Highly recommended, excellent experience!

The boo and I decided to get matching tattoos for my birthday while down in Clearwater and my best friend was ready to get her first tattoo so I wanted to find a good place for us. After a google and Yelp search and reading many reviews, I decided on Foolish Pride 2 and Victor because his line work looked the best for what we wanted to get.I actually hit up Victor on his IG the day before (which was a Monday, so they were closed) and he actually responded! He was super friendly, explained all the policies behind booking an appointment, pricing and walk- in clients. I sent him a photo of what we were looking to get and he gave me a very reasonable price range for what he could see online.When we got to the shop, it's not like a normal tattoo shop that I've been used to with drawings all over the walls and large pictures where you can 'pick what you want' from a collection of tattoos. The receptionist was sweet and greeted us with a smile and it was almost like Victor was expecting us. He was very meticulous and definitely not heavy handed. He offered his professional opinion for the tattoos and still followed our requests. He lightened the mood by holding good convos with us during the processes and although this wasn't my first, he still took time to explain aftercare. My best friend got ger first tattoo and Victor made it especially easy on her. He gave her all the good and bad info about getting a tattoo and took very good care with her during the process. He guarantees his work so if anything happens, he will fix it and if I lived here, he would be the number 1 person I'd go to. Thanks Victor!!

My best friend and I went to get spontaneous tattoos and we chose this place! It was absolutely perfect! The receptionist Emily was the sweetest and was very helpful to answer any and all questions and process my paper work quickly! She sent us to one of their great artists who's name I can't remember, he was a little quiet at first but he warmed up to us as soon as he started the tattooing process. He created the most beautiful recreation of the flower set I wanted but with his own additions that I am completely in love with! He made the process quick and afterwards he treated it right away after some quick pictures. Lastly he gave us his most expensive price of $250 and only took cash so we ran to the atm to pull out $300 and the total came out to $180! He was such a sweetie! I greatly appreciate their service here and Emily and my tattoo artist especially for their kindness and hard work! I would 100% recommend this tattoo shop for your tattoos!

When you call to make an appointment over the phone they will tell you it's better off just to come in person for walk in (first come, first serve) Then when you show up the ladies behind the desk (the main female receptionist, same voice who answered the phone) Will tell you it's better to make appointments and everyone is book due to there only being 2 artist who seem to be there at all times. (On the 6-8 times I've gone in) This has happened on numerous occasions.. Very inconsistent, also they have high prices for just line work of 1hour time I was looking at $300 for the size of my palm in line work. (Normal lines) No shading/ no coloring just line work. $300 for 1hour. Even when the artist told me $125 was his hourly and $300 was for the quality of the line work he does "ok dude" They basically walk you, even when they have an artist there.. instead of taking $ and doing some shading they'll tell you some staggering high price or tell you to wait for another artist to do the work because A.They don't want to do it or B. They just don't care. I'll never be going back

So you are reading reviews to see if this is the place for your first or next tattoo? Well if I was you I would book my appointment asap with Emily Elegado. I feel sad for the couple of reviews who got bent because they didn't have an appointment. I have a bad tattoo from the place down the street and Emily is actually going to fix it next and I can't wait. To date, Emily has completed three tattoos and I couldn't be happier. The last tattoo I waited till the end to see it and it actually gave me chills how perfect it was. The only downfall is it is on the back of my arm and I have to look in the mirror to see it. My choice for location. Emily is also very good at placing your new tattoo in the area you want! I can't say enough about her professionalism and skills. All my tattoos from Emily have healed nicely and look amazing. So book your appointment because good things come to those who can wait. Or go down the street and come back to Emily and maybe she can fix.

I came in to cover up a botch stick and poke job that consisted of lettering to cover, he kindly explained that he could do it but it wouldn't necessarily turn out good due to parts sticking out after this instead of just turning me down (prior to coming into foolish pride I had a horrible experience at another tattoo shop, calling me stupid for trying to cover letters with letters) he suggested something more organic to cover it, I ended up getting my cat tattooed on my wrist, none of the lettering was sticking out and it's by for my FAVORITE tattoo, great experience, was so kind, great conversation, clean shop, everyone in there again was SO nice.

Brought my son here for a tattoo while we were on vacation in Florida. We saw all the positive yelp reviews and that's why we picked this place. I can see why they were all positive. Most important the tattoo came out AMAZING. The lines were so clean and neat and the tattoo was clear and perfect. The place was so clean and everyone who worked there was great. My Husband and I were visiting from Ohio and we like to check out tattoo shops when we go to different states. We walked into Foolish Pride and first I have to say before speaking to anyone it is by far the cleanest and nicest shop we have ever seen. (and we have been to over hundreds of shops even just to look). I was amazed that it looked cleaner than my own home:) The staff were very friendly and even gave me very good advice. Frank did both of our tattoos and he was so down to earth and made us feel very comfortable. Also the owner was very welcoming and helped us out alot too. We come here a few times a year and we will be back every time to finish our sleeves. I cannot wait to come back when we are back in Florida around Christmas.

He saw my vision.. I am an over thinker and let me just tell you, that he never once got aggravated with me he just continued to make it smaller, bigger until I was happy. He never forced his opinion on me, his goal was for me to walk out of here saying wow! I love it. The line is clean, he has soft, steady hands and it was quick & that is exactly what happened. Great vibes! My husband and I were discussing our matching roman numeral ring finger tats for like a year but always kept pushing it off. We had a shop in mind but unfortunately for them, they were closed. So Google came to the rescue and I found Foolish Pride 2 and looked at portfolios and was sold. Drove up and after good advice and some thought, Carlos gave us exactly what we wanted. Nice clean open spaced shop with great tunes playing. Will definitely keep them in mind for next tattoo!

My girlfriend and I stayed in Clearwater for vacation and decided to each get a small tattoo done, that were spur of the moment. Mind you these are not our first tattoos and we have dealt with several other shops before. Based on other reviews, we decided to give them a shot. With that said, the staff was quiet and not very friendly. Perhaps we got them on a bad day, but they did not seem to want to talk with us or help us. We got our tattoos anyways, and they came out how we wanted and were done quickly and professionally. They may be good at what they do, but they do not interact well with you. We felt a bit uncomfortable being in there. Based on all of this, we gave them 2 stars.

I came in after reading reviews on tons of tattoo shops in the area. I'm visiting from D.C. and wanted to get something does while I was down here. Spoke with Josh Fields and immediately knew I wanted him to be my artist. We sat for a while and bounced ideas of each other. Once I made a decision (I'm a Libra) it was time. He was also able to fix a tattoo I had done a while ago that I thought was unfixably terrible. The vibe at this shop is great. Super clean and everyone was so friendly!! If you are looking for a tattoo in the area, I HIGHLY recommend Josh and Foolish Pride Tattoo 2!!! Great work and thanks again Josh!!!!

He took the time to make sure the tattoo looked the way we wanted and also that it had the right placement. He also made us feel comfortable with how clean he kept everything and allowed us to see that everything that was used was sterile. Absolutely incredible experience! First tattoo and I did my homework and found Joshua Fields. First exchange with him over email with my tattoo idea was great and he was super excited to tattoo it. Walking into the shop, super laid back atmosphere and staff is friendly! Joshua listened to my idea and gave me great advice so that I'd love my tattoo for a lifetime! The tattoo process was not painful at all he was super gentle and talked me through it. All in all I would recommend this place and Joshua Fields to anyone and I will be back!

JD is professional, creative, and has a lot of great insight about his craft. He made my son, who has sensory processing issues, more than comfortable during the whole tattooing process. He's down to earth, funny, and well worth a drive from wherever you may live. Class act all the way! Clean shop, friendly staff, overall awesome experience. We'll be back JD, thank you again!

Foolish Pride 2 off Gulf to Bay and Lake. Is a nice , clean shop. I Had stopped in a couple times. Decided to Stop in on Saturday afternoon. The shop wasn't to busy and I was greeted upon entering. Emily introduced herself to me and a brief consult later. We had a design idea. The price was great and she was fast . The whole experience was pleasant. I will return to foolish pride for future ink. There are several good artist available. Parking is kinda tight. Defiantly recommend parking around back.

I've had 3 sessions at FP2 with JD, this place is the best shop in town. It's clean,the staff is friendly and they all love what they do. JD's talent is crazy. I came in with a piece that was 10+ years old and done by 3 different artists. Needless to say it didn't completely line up, it was jagged and jacked in some areas. I told JD what I was looking to do and he not only added in what I wanted to finish the piece, he fixed all of the other mistakes made along the road. JD is friendly dude with a good attitude and incredible talent. Go see JD if you're looking to get some ink work done. I'll be back soon with some more ideas...

It's always tough to do a review on a place of business like a tattoo shop...so it's base mostly on the tattoo artist...I can say that this location is very clean, the tattoo artist I've encountered were nice and professional. JD was my artist (he is amazingly good) he is a true artist; he listens to you and your vision of what you want for your tattoo. His work is truly incredibly detailed and priced very fairly; he is quick, professional, and very personable. I definitely would recommend him to anyone. He made me very aware of the sterilization necessary to not spread bacteria and disease- and going to a licensed ink shop, such as Foolish Pride 2 Tattoos. Friendly reminder: Putting life into a blank canvas, i.e. your skin, make sure it is something meaningful because it will be on you forever. Art is ART!!! Whether it is on canvas or skin- it is objective, not subjective.... So don t let anyone dictate to you what you can or cannot put on your own body!

I wish I could give more stars - Emily Elegado is the best of the best. 'To start - She is one of the nicest and understanding artists I've met in my life. SO genuinely sweet and really cared about my tattoo. She had even planned ahead where she was going to shade which was SO impressive to me. I have 7 tattoos and have never seen an artist care so much in my life. Her application and technique was flawless, barely experienced any pain and it is healing wonderfully. When I took off my bandage I almost cried tears of joy I was so happy.I'm rambling, but moral of the story is - If you're looking to get a quality tattoo GO TO EMILY AT FOOLISH PRIDE! You will NOT be disappointed!

Emily stopped by the shop on her day off to meet with me and discuss the design so that she would have time to conceptualize and sketch something out over the two days before our appointment. She is very experienced, light handed, and creative; offering advice and artistic recommendations both before and during the session to ensure we were both going to be happy with the finished artwork. She takes pride in her work and they run an extraordinary tattoo shop in the Clearwater area. I will definitely go back to Emily and Foolish Pride for any future design and work to be done.
