I had my lip pierced on the East Coast over the weekend. The swelling was getting worse and the stud started to sink in to the piercing. I stopped by Atomic Tattoos to have it checked out and Danny was amazing! I was super worried, but he assured me changing out the barbel would be the solution. We ended up finding out I was pierced with an extremely too small barbel and that's why I was having problems. Taura worked on my daughters and she did absolutely amazing art work. She also worked on me. I just can’t believe how awesome this women is, I was extremely excited when she was finished with the watercolor tattoo there isn’t a day that goes by where I’m not complimented on it. I have walked in there with some challenging pieces and she Executed without any hiccups . I have to say while getting the tattoo I didn’t feel a uncomfortable silence like in most shops when the artist is haughty and usually rude. Taura is an amazing artist who puts her clients first, also scheduling is a breeze. Also in my experience eveytime I go in to this shop I always been greeted with smiles. Was not greeted when we entered the store so thought that was a bit rude however the person who pierced my friends ear was friendly she paid 60 to get the little bar thing in her ear and its 50 for a piercing on the outer part on the top ear and 45 for the inner ear... hope this helps Read Less

I took my daughter here to have her ears pierced for her 10th birthday. We walked in on a weekday evening without an appointment or calling ahead, so I was prepared to be put off or wait. I have never been to a tattoo place in my life, so I was a little intimidated (though I didn't let it show to my already nervous and excited daughter). I needn't have worried. At first, the woman who greeted us said the person who works with kids wasn't there, she kindly checked with a young man who agreed to do the piercing. As soon as he heard it was for her birthday, he said he would. He was patient, professional and careful. As soon as he saw how well my daughter was taking it, he relaxed visibly (it was kind of cute to see this young man, also a dad, show so much concern for my daughter's comfort). He even told her she did better than most adults. Lol. My child walked out proud and smiling. She is now healed from the piercing and doing great. I recently lost my dad right before the holidays, and had such an awesome experience the last time I came in to this particular Atomic Tattoos that I figured I would certainly go back for my new tat, and have this place do the one I would dedicate to my dad...I was greeted by the receptionist. One star for that! and as for the rest...well one of the two artists stated he was going home after finishing the person he was working on...and the other person left has the one he was working and another person in line waiting... I would have to wait until both were finish...it was only 6:45 pm on a Saturday... I was on a date night with my husband at the mall and decided I wanted my nose re-pierced after having it out for over several years. I searched for local tattoo shops and Atomic Tattoos popped up. Since they had good reviews we decided to go in. Danny was helping me and he was very professional and nice. I ended up only needing the current hole re-stretched. He was honest and didn't charge me full price for a new piercing. If I ever decide on more piercings I'll definitely be going back to Atomic to see Danny. The lady with the pink hair at the front was awful, rude and clearly didn't want to help us. The man who performs piercings was fine but her customer service was absolute horrible. I wouldn't recommend going there to get anything done unless you want to be treated like you're unwelcome. Hope they read this and do something about her because the convenience of the place would have been nice to go there but I won't go there again. I'm glad we said never mind and went elsewhere ...because they don't deserve my money. I understand and respect the pollicy about not letting anyone back when someone gets pierced, but how they went about it was rude when we realized that was a policy she said "what.... do I need to shine a light on it.... the signs right here..." it was unnecessary and also ripping up the paper we had filled out obnoxiously before we even got out of the store. I was super skeptical of mall tattoo artists but I was seriously surprised! Tommy Johnson was professional and detail oriented. Great conversationalist and the shop wasn't so "cool"or pretentious that you wouldn't feel comfortable. Sometimes I find that because I've gotten older, I walk into tattoo places and I don't fit into that "cool" image. I am an artist and my journey has JUST brought me to a place where I want to document my voyage as art ON my body. It's nice to deal with people who don't judge or make me feel weird. Although my tattoo turned out amazing and I get comments on it everywhere I go I do have to say the service was unlike anything I've experienced before and not in a good way. I was going to return as a customer to atomic tattoo for my husband and i's vacation to Florida this month. I messaged the artist Jeremy who did my lion tattoo in November to see if he was interested in doing the idea I had in mind and he replied the next day asking for my visit time and telling me he w...ould love to do it. I sent several messages explaining the tattoo to him and then a couple messages again after not hearing from him. It ended up being almost 3 months before I got a response of he was telling me again he wanted to do it so I asked to schedule an appointment and again he fell unresponsive so I looked elsewhere due to my short time schedule in Florida. Once I got the tattoo here and posted a photo of it online Jeremy messaged me "so I'm assuming you will not be getting tattooed by me" and I responded explaining my time line I had and that he had not responded and he stated "no worries have a good one" then blocked me from his Instagram which I didn't notice until I tried referring him to someone who was in love with the lion he did on my leg. I have six tattoos and I have gotten them from all over the Pinellas county area, but I definitely enjoyed my experience with this Atomic Tattoo store. Before I go anywhere, I always look at reviews and the reviews were not good for any atomic tattoo store I looked at, but this one is completely different. I went to the Countryside Mall location and got both my nipples and a tattoo done and I have never felt more comfortable. I don't remember who did either of them, because it was awhile ago, but everyone in that store was so kind and welcoming. I've never felt more at home in regards to tattoos/piercings. I got this tattoo on December 31, 2015. My friend wanted to get his first tattoo super badly and I was looking into getting my second tattoo. So we went to the mall and showed our drawings to Corey Pogue. I was worried about a tattoo artist I have never meet before messing up or trying to change my idea of this tattoo to honor my grandpa, who died my freshman year. But Corey was awesome and gave my friend and I great prices for our tattoos and did them up. My friend's tattoo was great and he got a Japanese symbol on his wrist and felt great afterwards, it was his first tattoo. Corey helped me pick the colors for my tattoo and made sure this tattoo was great. I even got my mom to like it when I came home to show her and my grandmother too. I'm not a fan of chains BUT I can't say enough positive things about this location.  Hands down Mike & Simon are the best in town!!!!  Mike is the piercer and probably the nicest gentle guy you'll ever meet.  He has done a couple piercings and he's changed all of them out.....he's so sweet and even remembers my color and style every time I walk in. It's always tough to do a review on a place of business like a tattoo shop...so it's base mostly on the tattoo artist...I can say that this location is very clean, the tattoo artist I've encountered were nice and professional.  JD was my artist (he is amazingly good) he is a true artist; he listens to you and your vision of what you want for your tattoo. His work is truly incredibly detailed and priced very fairly; he is quick, professional, and very personable. I definitely would recommend him to anyone. He made me very aware of the sterilization necessary to not spread bacteria and disease- and going to a licensed ink shop, such as Atomic Tattoos. Friendly reminder: Putting life into a blank canvas, i.e. your skin, make sure it is something meaningful because it will be on you forever. Art is ART!!! 62 years old, mid-life crisis. I actually went in for my first professional tat. It was to be a cover-up for a mess I made when I was a kid. Corey, helped me come up with exactly what I wanted and did an awesome job. Now I finally hwve something to "show off" Corey is a pro's pro. This place was not what I expected. They were extremely friendly when walking in. I only wanted a small tattoo and they were reasonably priced. Tommy was super sweet and talked to me about what I was getting and even warned me that in my hand could hurt my job choices in the future. Corey has done all of my tattoos; he is professional and awesome at his craft. No, they don't just do "flash" here. I went in after my Grandfather passed away and described what I wanted, Corey drew it up and had it on me in no time. He did a bang up job and I can't recommend him enough. There are so many different artists at this location that you should really take your time looking at all their different portfolios to find one that matches the style you are looking for. Everyone has their specialities, and each artist is well within their right to refuse a job as well. Keep in mind, you wouldn't want someone doing something that they don't feel comfortable with in a setting that produces a permanent modification to your body. Have been blessed with the artwork of Jeremy Scott. I presented him with my idea for a custom piece that maybe was out of his comfort zone and he ran with it. Every sitting he was enthusiastic for and made me feel completely comfortable.He even went out of his way to work around my schedule and showed up earlier than he normally would. There's a real family vibe when you are in the shop, which I appreciate. I was hesitant to go to a shop in the mall, but I'm grateful that I did. Very disappointed!  Went in with a drawing of my tattoo exactly how I wanted it. The girl who was going to do it said she just needed to "make the flowers tattoo friendly". Almost two hours later she came back with a drawing that was not even close to mine with the wrong flowers. She was hesitant to do my drawing. We went in to see about a tattoo coverup for my husband and the artist we spoke to was super friendly. My husband told him what he was looking for and he seemed more then happy to accommodate, but we just needed to figure out some scheduling issues. When we left my husband was really excited to finally have found an artist to do the work on his coverup. My husband emailed the artist with pictures and didn't hear back for 4 days and then emailed again. Once he did get an email it was short, but the artist did still seem enthusiastic about getting the job done. When my husband found out his schedule he emailed him once again and never heard back. He called the shop and left a message with the guy at the front for the artist to call him back, but never received a phone call back. Waited a few days, called again, still no response. They seem like they do good work because my husband knew someone who had a piece done there, but my question is where is the professionalism with customer service? If you don't want out money, there are plenty of other shops in the area that would be happy to except it. Customer service is just not there and it was really disappointing. Read Less
