Visiting from New York and stumbled on this gem of a shop when looking for a place to get tattoos. Scott is incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and super interesting to sit and talk with. Justin is beyond talented and super accommodating to a mother, daughter, daughter in law, granddaughter foursome, looking for a bonding tattoo experience. I talked to Scott and gave him an idea of the kind of tattoo I wanted. He talked to Justin. I went in the day before and looked at it the outline and liked the design. Went back the next day to my appointment Scott explain the care that needs to be done and Justin put on the tattoo. Justin was very focused when putting on my tattoo. When he was done and I saw it. personally went into shop on Fri. with visiting Granddaughter, verbally given an appointment for 6P on Sat. left required deposit and required phone #. Arrived at 5:45 and was told Oh we thought you were coming at 12:30...what???? we wanted around 8 on Sat but Justin suggested 6. Never rec. a call for the supposed 12:30 AND when I said can we wait...No he is doing a really big job.......this is not a mistake this is poor customer service. Awful customer service, walked in and made an appointment for the next day and put a deposit down , walked in the next day and the guy that talked to us told us that we didn't have an appointment at the time the guy the day before told us and that he had wrote down a different time in the computer. The guy that made our appointment didn't even come out and apologize he was "tattooing" someone else . We also didn't get call from the shop asking why we didn't show up for the appointment.  Disappointed.It says on their door that they're open Sunday's from 12-6pm but that's not true they're only open on Sunday in certain seasons. I have been going to new-york tattoo for years now but been getting tattooed by Jennifer way longer then that . in fact I was one if not the first person she tattooed. From day one I knew she was going to be a top tattooist . She is very clean and professional . the hole tattoo shop is immaculate and very very clean. I have a body suit and jen has done the majority of it. I have never had any issues with the tattoo healing . not one issue what so ever. I have been in tattoo ...shops to watch someone get tattooed and there were bike parts in same room and were greasy dirty not as a decoration and that can't be two sterile. I also be to tattoo party's and shook my head tattooist wore gloves but smoked and didn't change the gloves in a dirty house with cats running around . two me cleanliness is very important I'm not a big fan of infections never the less any disease like hepatitis.its its important when getting a tattoo to look around the place and just watch for awhile. I have been a nurse for sixteen years now and I have to say, I was extremely impressed with the amount of knowledge these artists and piercers had (especially when it came to sterility and technique). I also must admit, when my daughter wanted to get her navel pierced, I wasn't thrilled about it. But, after coming in and speaking to these guys (and girls), it definitely put my mind at ease.
